Morning! Today I have a polish I found at Rite Aid to show you from a brand called Colorphase. The bottle doesn't seem to have a name on it (I hate that) so I've been calling it blue...very creative of me, I know.
I saw the Colorphase display and was intrigued because the bottles look like little barbells and it said that when you apply the top coat it changed colors. I decided on the blue because it looked the prettiest in the bottle. I have to say, the polish was much nicer than I expected. It went on so smoothly and was a 1 coater!
Without top coat the color from the bottle is a silvery blue foil like polish. To get the color change you are supposed to apply the top coat on the other end of the bottle. The brush in the top coat side is long and skinny like a nail art brush. Once you apply the top coat it turns the color in to a really pretty blurple. If you don't want to do just lines with the long skinny brush because you want the color the polish changes to on the entire nail you could just use regular top coat...you get the same effect.
Here is what the bottle looks like!
I've only seen these out at Rite Aid, I'm not sure where else can you can get the brand...I think they were around $5 (somewhere in that neighborhood!)

That's pretty cool... I like the packaging and the marketing gimmick, lol. The blue is beautiful w/ topcoat!

ReplyDeleteOoo love that effect. You chose a great pattern to do as well. Looks great! I want a bottle!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! So to keep the light blue color you can't use a top coat?

ReplyDeleteLooks amazing!
ReplyDeletecorrect!
ReplyDeleteVery cool. We don't have Rite Aid where I live so I will have to see if I can track it down at my local Sally's.
ReplyDeleteIt´s lovely! The bottle it´s so cute! Thanks for always share with us all the new and cool stuff!!
ReplyDeleteI saw these at Rite Aid but the brush in the top coat looked weird, like a very scraggly horse's tail, so I passed. The polish looks nice, though! I may have to go back and pick one up.
ReplyDeleteI picked up a dusty lilac one (and posted about it today--jinx!). I like yours better--no brushstrokes. :)
ReplyDeletewoah this is so cool!
ReplyDeleteThat color is lovely! I might have to go out and buy it.
ReplyDeleteI saw a post about these on Nouveau Cheap but this is the first time I've seen actual swatches! I was thinking of trying these and now I think I definitely will after seeing your pics.
ReplyDeleteCute idea, I'm going to check these out!
ReplyDeleteI saw these at Rite Aid the other day and was intrigued but didn't buy any. I may have to go back and pick a couple up!
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm heading to Rite Aid again...
ReplyDeleteInteresting. I saw these but wasn't wowed because I kinda hate the packaging, lol - poor reason not to buy, but it's honest. I like the concept though.
ReplyDeleteOMG I've never seen anything like that, it's so intriguing!!!! It would be really nice to get my hands on them, but here in Italy we don't have such pretties!!!
ReplyDeleteI saw these but they weren't even in a display; they were in a random bin and I had no clue how they actually worked. Kinda cool.
ReplyDeleteI bought a couple, the blue/purple and the orange. The name of the color is not listed on the bottle, however it is on the receipt. The blue/purple is called Indigo Pop and the orange is called Orange Zoom.
ReplyDeleteThis is really pretty haven't ever seen it before!
