Megan Miller Collection Caribbean, Coral Bliss and Lemon Ice!

Hi guys! Last night I went to the food trucks, I realized I haven't mentioned them in a while on here...if you follow me on twitter (@thepolishaholic) or instagram (thepolishaholic) you probably already know that I am still addicted to going every Wednesday night. Last night I had yummy sliders from a truck called The Burnt Truck...if you are from Orange County and like burgers look them up, seriously it was nomalicious! I also got a snow cone tropical shaved ice for desert...yes people, there is a food truck that exists to only serve yummy clouds of syrup soaked ice. I  realllllllly wanted to get something from The Grilled Cheese Truck (yup, that exists too) but the line was like an hour long and I was starving *sad face*

Whew, anyway I actually have polish to talk about also...not just yummo food trucks. Today I have 3 polishes to show you from the Megan Miller Collection! Megan Miller Collection polishes come in quite possibly the nicest nail polish bottle I've ever owned, you can see full photos of them on meganmillercollection.com! If you are a lover of pretty packaging, like I am, you will love these...the caps of the bottles are made from corks! Not only are they gorgeous to look at but they are also eco friendly, I appreciate companies to go out of their way to be eco friendly!

Caribbean is a gorgeous blue/green. I have to say, what an appropriate name for this shade. I haven't been many places but I have been to the caribbean and this reminds me of the beautiful beaches there. The formula was nice on this, it's walking the line between being a creme and a jelly so it was on the sheer side. It's very buildable and very easy to apply, not streaky or goopy etc... I used 3 coats for the photos below, there was a bit of visible nail line with 3 coats but it seems more noticeable in the photos than it was in real life.

Also just wanted to mention if you like this go buy it today, it's the color of the month for May and is on sale!

Coral Bliss is one of the Megan Miller Collection polishes for Summer 2012. It's a gorgeous coral, it leans a little to the pink side of coral! This color is gorgeous, it's the kind of coral that I tend to gravitate towards since orange leaning corals don't always look so great on my skin tone. Coral Bliss was a lot like Caribbean formula wise, it was a bit more opaque but it's still walking that creme/jelly line. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Lemon Ice is a gorgeous light yellow, Lemon Ice is another Summer 2012 shade for Megan Miller Collection. Of these 3 polishes this is my favorite, the color is so soft! The formula on Lemon Ice was the most sheer of the 3 polishes but it's also the most jelly like. The formula was very nice, it wasn't streaky at all which is a rarity for soft yellows like this. I used 4 coats for the photos below, if you don't want this fully opaque 3 coats would work just fine!

Megan Miller Collection polishes are available on meganmillercollection.com/, each polish retails for $12 a bottle. You can also buy these on one of my favorite etailers, Overall Beauty...they are also $12 there!

Bonus Snow Cone photo...yum!

  4. The bottles seems really cute and I really like Lemon Ice!! I want! Btw so you are from the OC? I used to go to school at UCI and I LOVED the Wednesday food trucks! I've tried the GCT a few times, and TRUST ME it is worth the wait!! There is always a line! Except when they were at the OC fair, there was no line then. I went to the food truck festival near Arcadia and I waited in line for 3 HOURS. It's really amazing.

  5. Edys had a limited edition lemon sorbet with bits of lemon squares in it, and it was the exact color of that Lemon Ice polish.  It's just gorgeous, and is also giving me a serious craving :)

  6. Caribbean is gorgeous! That's what I thought Revlon Sheer Seafoam was going to be like! I wanna go to a grilled cheese truck! We have two taco trucks, a Mediterranean food truck, and a brand new BBQ truck, but that's it. I want an entire fairground filled with food trucks!

  34. You should check out Ranch A-Go-Go next time you are at the food trucks. It's my friend's truck, and it is the most wonderful thing. I recommend the Rhino.
