Happy Wednesday! Today I have my first piCture pOlish to show you guys, I've been eyeing this brand for a long time I've never gotten around to buying any. It seems like every time I've decided on picking up a couple some indie seller comes along and restocks and I decide I need those ASAP since they sell out in like 2 seconds. Monroe from piCture pOlish was a huge lemming for me. I was completely surprised when Katie from Harlow & Co included a bottle in the last package I got from her. Talk about an awesome surprise (thank you again Katie!), I might have happy danced when I saw it...not gonna lie.
Monroe is a gorgeous deep red jelly with a really nice scattered holo effect. If you like holos but don't want something that is in your face (and hard to apply) like the Layla Hologram Effect polishes this polish might be more your speed. It's gorgeous not only in the sun but it's also awesome in low lighting and indoors! The formula was a little on the thick side but it was easy to apply. I used 2 coats for the photos below, if you tend to do your coats on the thin side it's more likely this will be a 3 coater for you since it did have patchy spots on the first coat! All photos are in direct sunlight, the holo was much more noticeable in real life!
piCture pOlish is a bit on the pricey side, selling for around $13-$17 on most of the etailers. My bottle came from Harlow & Co. but you can also pick it up on several other etailers including Llarowe and Overall Beauty. For a full list of distributors (or to buy direct from them!) please check out piCture pOlish's official website.

ReplyDeleteWow, I usually am not too fond of red jellies, they tend to look so 'sameish' (totallya word), but the glitter really sets this one apart from the crowd! Really beautiful~

ReplyDeleteI love this, Jen! I gotta say, it looks SO much better on your nails than in the bottle. In the bottle it is pretty, but nothing I *had* to have. Now? Well that has changed ;-)

ReplyDeleteMay be worth mentioning that Picture Polish announced that Monroe and Mask-a-rade (which is a fantastic glitter ... a clear version of Butter London's Black Knight) have just been announced as Limited Edition.
If you want a bottle of Monroe or Mask-a-rade, I'd recommend you buy it sooner rather than later!
I just got this polish couple days ago from overall beauty and it is soo gorgeous! I havent worn it yet but I will get to it eventually. Now I'm trying out the China glaze prisms and still need to use my Hits and Ozotics. But I definitely have peacock and mask a rade on my next to buy list!
