Morning! Today I have a few comparisons for the China Glaze On Safari Collection to show you. If you missed my swatches of the entire collection you can check them out here! Some of these were asked for and some were just me searching my stash. There are a couple that were requested that unfortunately I'm not able to do because I cannot for the life of me find the polish you asked to be compared. My stash is kind of crazy so things are everywhere right now!
First up is OPI Ginger Bells vs. China Glaze Desert Sun vs. Nubar Toasted Marshmallow. No dupes here, these are actually more different than I thought they would be! I used 2 coats of each polish below.
China Glaze Elephant Walk vs China Glaze Pelican Gray. No dupes here either, again much more different than I thought they would be! I didn't realize how light Pelican Gray was until I put it next to Elephant Walk. They are the same kind of polish though, same shimmer and whatnot so if you like one you'll probably like the other. I used 2 coats of polish for each.
Essie School of Hard Rocks vs. China Glaze Exotic Encounters vs. Finger Paints Vintage Velvet. No dupes here either. Exotic Encounters is brighter and not as dusty as the other 2 polishes. I used 2 coats of polish for each.
Finger Paints Catwalk Queen vs China Glaze Kalahari Kiss vs Butter London Brumster. No dupes for Kalahari Kiss...but hey, it looks like Brumster and Catwalk Queen are pretty similar so this wasn't a total waste right! I used 2 coats of each polish for the photo below!
China Glaze First Mate. vs China Glaze Man Hunt vs OPI Dating A Royal. Originally I wanted to compare Man Hunt with Revlon Royal but my bottle is missing in the black hole of my room so I searched my stash to find other things that could be close. I used 2 coats of First Mate and Man Hunt and 3 coats of Dating A Royal for the photo below.
This next one isn't a comparison but it was asked for several times so I thought I'd just throw it in with this post. Here are the 2 glitters from the collection on their own and not layered. I used 2 coats of each...they are pretty opaque!
I'm Not Lion is on the left and I Herd That is on the right
There might possibly be a part 2 of this post, but no guarantees for that. I'm still searching my stash for a couple polishes that were requested comparisons!

I love the browns together, perfect for this kind of gradient nails. :-)

ReplyDeleteThanks for these comparisons. They're very helpful. I'm liking this collection more than I thought I would.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the swatches, you're the best!
ReplyDeleteI like! XoXo
ReplyDeleteThanks for swatching the glitters on their own... I've been wanting to see swatches of that. They both look gorgeous and that's great coverage for just two coats.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for doing these. Not only will I probably get the two or three Safari shades I was thinking about, I now have new brands/shades on my ever growing "to buy" list lol.
ReplyDeleteThe first comparison would make such a cute skittle/ombre mani!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for these great comparisons!! Definitely going to have to pick up Exotic Encounters, and probably Elephant Walk & Pelican Grey as well! :)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Thanks for the helpful comparisons.
ReplyDeleteI love it when you do comparisons, it's so helpful and you do a great job.
ReplyDeleteI always like to see comparisons - even when they are not dupes. No biggie about not finding your bottle of Revlon Royal - despite there is a ton of folks who talk that color up, it's the worst formula that chips in less than 1 day...not worth buying.
ReplyDeleteI herd That reminds me of the Hunger Games Electrify
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate the comparisons, helps to put things into perspective as to whether I really need them or not ;P
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comparison!! I was really curious about Man Hunt and First Mate!! I love hoarding blue polishes but couldn't tell the difference from the promo photo :]
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI'm even more in love with I'm Not Lion now that I've seen it on it's own! So gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThey are similar in the main colors but Electrify doesn't have holo glitter and the glitter in I Herd That is much finer!
ReplyDeleteYour first comparison makes me want it to be Thanksgiving. Perfect turkey day manicure!
ReplyDeleteYou should do a comparisons of the glitters along with the ulta exclusives from china glaze for the holidays!!
ReplyDeleteEverytime I view one of your posts it makes me want to buy more polish. For a true 'polishaholic', your blog is great as I get many ideas from you. This particular blog is preparing me early for the fall. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see a comparison of OPI - Dating a Royal and Nails Inc - Baker street. . . i have them both, i'm just extremely lazy lol!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Thank you. After seeing this, I'm Not Lion look a lot like Sally Hansen's Big Money from the Gem Crush collection.
ReplyDeleteWow, you sure put a lot of hard work into this post and it shows! Thank you for this; it's great to see swatches even when the colors aren't all that close in the bottle (or so we think). I really appreciate this and all the swatches you do. Love to see more, when you're in the mood ;) ^^
ReplyDeleteLovely comparisons, thank you! Although I wish you had included CG Lemon Fizz with Kalahari Kiss and Essie Mesmerize and CG Ride The Waves with Man Hunt. Maybe next time :)
ReplyDeletejust looking at exotic encounters its reminding me of OPI fly from the nicki minaj collection how close are they?
ReplyDeleteNOT at all. Fly is much more blue and brighter.
DeleteIn real life, not very close at all. Exotic Encounters is much more green!

ReplyDeleteIf you happen to have the discontinued FingerPaints Holly Good Times, could you compare it to I Herd That? I've been lemming Holly Good Times soooo badly and I'm so hoping it's a dupe! (or at least close!)
ReplyDeletethanks for posting these :) wonder how kalahari kiss compares to classic camel from the 2010 fall collection.
ReplyDeleteVery nice and useful post! Though, it's Butter London BUMster, not Brumster :)
ReplyDeleteIs kalahari kiss like zoya cho?
ReplyDeleteWondering about Man Hunt vs Nails Inc Baker Street...?
