Models Own Indian Ocean

Hi guys! Today I have Models Own Indian Ocean to show you! This polish is part of the second set of Beetlejuice polishes Models Own put out. I couldn't decide if I needed it but I finally caved and gave in to the duochrome! Indian Ocean is a pink to peach duochrome in a very sheer light blue base. I have seen this on it's own and it didn't wow me so I knew I was going to layer it. I searched my stash for the perfect undies for it and came up empty...then I spotted the franken I made when I got my Mini (now named Beatrice, I know people were wondering what I decided on!) so I decided to use that! It seems to be the closest thing I have to the blue base of Indian Ocean. I used 1 coat of Indian Ocean over my Beatrice franken for the photos below. I feel like this was so much better in real life, it doesn't translate into photos well at all :(

Both photos below are in the shade. Sorry about the state of my cuticles (I tried to blur out most of the fug to spare your eyeballs lol), I think it's the weird weather but my skin has been going nuts lately and macro on my camera makes it like 1000 times worse.

Models Own is available on a few websites, I bought mine from the wonderful Harlow & Co! You can also buy Models Own direct on ModelsOwnIt.com!

  3. I love Indian Ocean!! I haven't found the perfect "underwear" either, maybe I need your franken lol! I saw Harlow and Co sell this polish in a set with a light blue, well too late for me!

  8. H&Co. was sold out when I wanted to get this, so I had to resort to eBay...but I am so excited! I wanted this when everyone thought the bottle shots were disappointing & I still want it. Way pretty!

  11. I just LOVE this shade so much.  I bought it from Ninja Polish when they restocked I think the last time, and just adore it.  Though I like it alone as well, it just takes a ton of coats!

  19. So pretty! This has been sitting in my untrieds forever. I was wondering if I'd be able to get it to look like the bottle on it's own - guess I better start thinking of some undies for it! :)

  33. I listed a few of the polishes in it in this post: http://www.thepolishaholic.com/2012/05/notd-mini-mani.html but I'm not sure exactly since I wasn't keeping track of what I was putting in!
