Nostalgic Nail Lacquer Clueless Collection Swatches!

Hi guys! I am excited for today's post, if there is one movie I can quote like no one's business it's Clueless. When I saw that Nostalgic Nail Lacquer was doing a little mini collection of polishes named after the movie you best bet I was waiting for them to go on sale, money ready! I am secretly hoping that maybe there might also be some additions to this Clueless collection, there are so many other great lines from the movie that would make for funny nail polish names.  You know like Suck & Blow, Whatever, Crimson Tide (ew, I know but it would probably make a pretty polish!)

Slowly but surely all these awesome indie brands are making polishes based off of my favorite things from when I was younger. If someone would like to make a collection based on Bring It On and Mean Girls I think my nail polish life would be complete haha!

To see swatches of each polish click the Read More button below!

As If  is small pink hex glitter mixes with black and white hex & bar glitter. I did have to dab this on, brushing it on like normal polish wasn't working for me. I love this glitter combo, there are so many polishes I think this will look good over! I used As If over Dollish Polish The Walk of Shame for the photos below, both photos are in the shade.

Rollin's With The Homies is small matte blue & white glitter! I couldn't decide what to layer this over so I decided to put it over a red, I guess I was feeling patriotic! I really love the look of this, I'm thinking about making it part of my 4th of July mani! This one did not require dabbing, it was easy to apply and the glitter payoff was pretty good! I layered this one over Dollish Polish Lipstick Around Your Dipstick for the photos below!

Sun
Don't lie, you're all doing the Rollin' With The Homies dance now, right? (maybe I'm the only one doing it haha). I actually tried to find a clip of the dance on youtube but there were no good ones, wtf man :(

Last up is Way Harsh which is small matte pink and black glitter. This is my favorite of the bunch...unfortunately I don't think it's awesomeness transfers into photos.  This one applied like Rollin' With The Homies, it had great glitter payoff! I used Way Harsh over Nails Inc Floral Street for the photos below, both photos are in the shade.

Nostalgic Nail Lacquer is available a couple of places, you can buy direct on http://nostalgicnaillacquer.com/. I don't think these Clueless polishes are available there yet, I got mine via pre-order. It's probably best to like the Nostalgic Nail Lacquer Facebook page for the most up to date news and whatnot. You can also buy these on Overall Beauty, I could have sworn they were already for sale there but now I can't find them :/

  27. Hi Jen! In your China Glaze Under Boardwalk version 2 post (
http://www.thepolishaholic.com/2012/06/china-glaze-under-boardwalk-version-2.html) I noticed, that on the comparison picture the bottle on the left says "Vernis _á_ Ongles" and the one on the right says "Vernis _à_ Ongles". I have couple of those polishes too, where some of the bottles say "á" and some "à". Also the text written under that is also different and different size font. I wonder what this is about? Or is it really about nothing and I'm just being too bored to notice unrelevant details like this? :D This makes me also wonder how you can spot fake CG polishes... there is a good guide for that with OPI, but I couldn't find one for CG.

  28. Kim here from Overall Beauty. I am only able to get so many of them at a time. When they are available they are here: http://www.overallbeauty.com/catalog/nails-brands-more-nostalgic-nail-lacquer-c-193_236.html I am waiting on stock at this time. I love your swatches!! AS always you do such a awesome job. I no idea how As if? looked outside its bottle so its really pretty cool to see it on nails.. :)

  29. I noticed the writing too, it's odd. I'm 100% sure neither bottle is fake but I do wonder why there is a difference in the printing on the bottles
