NOTD: WATERmarble

Hi guys! Happy hump day, hope everyone is having a good day so far...I am! Wednesday is my favorite week day, tonight I'm going to the food trucks....2 of my favorites are there! I'm planning on having sliders from an awesome truck called Burger Monster and fries from a truck named Fresh Fries. I always get excited when those 2 trucks are both at the same place!

Today I have a NOTD (nail of the day) to show you guys! I was wearing CND Anchor Blue the other day and got bored quick so I was shopping my stash to find some inspiration and came across Jessica Midnight Moonlight which is a gorgeous dark shimmery blue. I decided I was going to watermarble with them...I like monochrome things so a blue on blue watermarble sounded fun to try. I really love the way it turned out and both of these were easy to work with which is always nice. I think my favorite nail is my index finger, it was the only one I managed to get all swirly looking.

For my base I used CND Anchor Blue and the marbling is with CND Anchor Blue and Jessica Midnight Moonlight. All photos are in direct sunlight!

  8. Id love to know whether you use tape or vaseline around the edges?  My daughter keeps trying to water marble and her fingers are a mess. Any hints?

  14. Lovely! Just curious, do you use tape or Vaseline? I've only tried the former but it is such a PITA I am interested in the latter!

  23. Oh, Jen, this is seriously one of the most beautiful water marbles I've ever seen. I love these two colours all swirled up together, and Midnight Moonlight's shimmer adds so much to the whole look. I think your index finger is my favourite too. ;)

  25.  How do you get so close to the curved bit of the nail (at the base where it joins your finger)?  I can't seem to master the art of taping. Do you have a particular brand as  your favorite to use and really....how much tape do you go through in a month.

  26. I tape it as close as I can and then clean up around that area with an eyeliner brush and aceton. I don't use any special brand...just whatever scotch tape I find laying around. I don't go through very much...I don't even remember the last time I bought tape lol

  28. Hi Jen, when you water marble do you use tape to cover your skin or Vaseline (never tried it but heard it works)?
