Hi guys! Today I have a pretty indie polish called Sand Art to show you! This is an awesome matte glitter from Pretty & Polished! I had my eye on this for quite some time and finally caved and bought it when her shop was open a few weeks ago! Sand Art has a whole array of different colors of matte glitter in the mix including green, blue, pink, yellow and purple! This has nice glitter coverage so you could wear it on it's own but I like to layer glitters like this because they are a nightmare to remove on their own haha!
I used 1 coat of Sand Art over Essie Bikini So Teeny for the photos below. I did need a couple coats of top coat to smooth everything out! Both photos are in direct sunlight!
Pretty & Polished is available on etsy here! It looks like her next restock is tomorrow night! Full sized polishes go for $8.50 each!

ReplyDeleteSo cute! Love that look!
ReplyDeleteI want to keep liking all these interesting indie glitters. However I have to fess up that I have reached the saturation point on glitters despite how creative they might be. I am burnt out on glitters = matt and otherwise. I have to sort my stash out so I have all my glitters together and decide which I will keep and what I want to donate - wishing I had a blog of my own to have a blog sale. I hate to give a downer take on all the really good work coming out of home made industry for polishes - but I wish some of the home made industry would make some interesting holos. Curious if others have found they have reached a max point on glitters? I am looking for the next 'thing' to come to the polish world, or maybe it will be a return to something we have seen in the past. Hard to predict..esp when they say there is been a huge rise in over all polish sales in the past 3 yrs.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way. All though I have to say I am kinda over holo polishes too. I like wearing them but I feel like all I see is glitter and holo polishes coming from indie makers. Don't get me wrong, I like wearing them both but as a huge blog reader it can be a tad underwhelming when I see so many of the same things over and over. But, i will say that this is a wonderful combination and believe she pulls it off well. :-)
DeleteI love PnP soooooo much! Chelsea is a freaking polish goddess. I own like 15 and need more, more, more!!! I hope I can get what I don't have at the sale tomorrow!

ReplyDeleteMatte glitters haven't really stolen my heart until this one! I mean, I think they're pretty interesting but now I think I finally NEED one. Also, you always manage to come up with the perfect base shade to wear under a layered polish!
ReplyDeleteThank you! <3
ReplyDeleteOnce you get one you will want ALL the matte glitters. They are so fantastical in real life!
Love the layering!
ReplyDeleteI somehow managed to snag mini bottles of Sand Art, PHAT Camp and Forever Rose in her sale yesterday. I can't wait to try them! ^_^
We shall see! It may be a while, though. Apparently I missed Sand Art by about 30 minutes, haha. Maybe next time, and I'll be sure to let you know. ♥
