Saturday Spam: Zoya

Happy weekend! Today I have my very last Zoya spam for you guys! I know have my entire Zoya collection swatched and posted! I patted myself on the back for actually getting this done, usually I tell myself I'm going to swatch all the polishes in a brand that I own then give up like half way through haha! Now I need to find another brand in my stash to do this with! I'm thinking maybe Essie or Orly since I don't seem to have a ton of un-posted polishes from them.

Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Anastasia is a warm brown with strong purple tones with golden plum duochrome and heavy gold microglitter. That is Zoya's description, which is much better than what I could have come up with! This is a surprise favorite for me, I got it a long time ago but never wore it, I didn't realize how pretty it was! It's much better on the nail than in the bottle. The formula was a little sheer but it built up nicely, I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Charla is a shimmery aqua blue with a green flash. The polish with a thousand dupes, I can't even tell you how many polishes I have that look exactly like this....at least 3! Gorgeous color so I'm not too upset about that! This polish does stain so, if you don't have this and are planning to get it make sure you double up on base coat. I used 3 coats of Charla for the photos below.

Freja is a shimmery gunmetal grey. I'm on the fence about this one, I like it but I don't love it. The formula was a little thin but it was pretty brushstroke free when it dried so that was a nice surprise since I thought it might be a mess. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Hope is a gorgeous shimmery violet. This is one of my all time favorite Zoya's. This is actually the second bottle I've purchased of it, I let a girl at work borrow the first bottle and she loved it too so I let her keep it! The formula is nice, a little on the thin side but it's not sheer. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Irene is kind of a mossy olive green. Not really sure how to describe this one, it's a bit of an odd color. If you like unusual greens you'll probably love this one! The formula isn't my favorite, it's a bit sheer and on the watery side. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Shade

Ivanka is described by Zoya as a mermaid green sparkling metallic. This is one of my favorite Zoya's, it's pretty incredible in real life...I don't feel like my pictures are doing it any justice :( I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Shade

Jinx is a gorgeous shimmery copper brown. I remember buying this because I was looking for a nice shade copper that was the same shade as a penny and this was close enough for me! I really love this color, it's one I find myself reaching for a lot during the Fall! The formula is good on this polish, I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Ki is an awesome duochrome that flashes mostly purple and green! Another one of my all time favorite Zoya's. This was one of the first Zoya's I ever picked up and I remember trying to swatch it when I first started blogging and giving up because I couldn't capture the color shift lol! Luckily, I was much more successful this time around! The formula is a bit sheer on this one but it does build up and you don't need to layer it over a darker color to the get duochrome to pop. I used 3 coats for the photos below, both photos are in the shade.

Mimi is a dark shimmery purple. Another one of my favorites from Zoya! Like Ivanka, this one is so much  better in person, I don't know why I had such an issue getting these kinds of polishes to photograph well. I guess we know why they went un-posted for so long haha!  I used 3 coats for theo photos below.

Sun

Roxy is magenta glitter in a magenta jelly base. I kind of can't believe I've never posted a swatch of this one before! I think this is the polish that started my love of glitters in a squishy jelly base! The formula is really nice and opaque on this polish, I used 2 coats for the photos below!

Sparkle Gloss Top Coat is a shimmery top coat you can put over any polish for a little pop of shimmer. I can't tell if Zoya still makes this or not, when I search it on their site I can't find the bottle of it, only the little spoon...weird! I used 1 coat over Nails Inc Black Taxi for the photos below so that you can actually see the shimmer! Both photos are in the sahde.

Vegas Freeze is a blue and purple shimmery layering polish. Unfortunately it looks like it might be discontinued, which is a shame because it's pretty awesome! I never realized how great this was until I put it over black! I used 1 coat over Nails Inc Black Taxi for the photos below, both photos are in the shade.

Last up is Venus which is a light pink toned lavender with a silver shimmer. I don't love this one, it was much more sheer than I expected so it's probably not something I'll ever grab for unless I can find something good to layer it over. I used 4 coats for the photos below.

Zoya polishes are available on Zoya.com for $8 each! You can also find them at Ulta but the selection is extremely limited.

  10. I got Sparkly Gloss pretty recently as a freebie with one of their trios. It's hard to find on the site though, I only found it by going through Google (and I see the one review on it says the same thing). XD http://zoya.com/content/38/item/Zoya/Zoya-Nail-Polish-Sparkle-Gloss-Topcoat.html

Mimi is very nice. I pretty much never wear purple but that's a lovely shade. I love these swatch spams, thanks for sharing them with us. =)

    1. Zoya has 3 in that glitter collection. I have Nova (my dogs name, had to..) which is gold glitter in a similar base as Roxy, and one other one.. I forget which.

  15. Vegas Freeze over black reminds me a little of Butter London's "Black Knight"

  20. Clearly, I don't have enough Zoya in my life (well, I don't have *any* Zoya in my life if you want to get all technical about it)
So, I need to put about 90% of these on my wishlist. heh.

  28. Can you do a comparison between Ki and OPI's Not Like The Movies? In my opinion Not Like The Movies is more sheer, but I'm not really sure. Thanks:)
