Tuff Scent Curtain Call & Purr-O-Gative

TGIF! Anyone have fun plans this weekend? I am re-living my high school days via concerts this weekend! Tonight I'm going to see MxPx and tomorrow I'm going to see a band called Codename Rocky . I'm mucho excited, I haven't seen MxPx live in a few years and I haven't seen Codename Rocky live in like 10 years because they broke up. If you've ever heard of Codename Rocky we should be besties because I've literally never met anyone who knew who they were other than the people I was friends with in high school.

Today I have 2 polishes from Tuff Scent's Lyrical Collection to share with you guys! I actually meant to share these with you a long time ago but the post somehow got lost in the black hole of drafted half done posts I have ha! If you've never heard of Tuff Scent please let me introduce you to them...Tuff Scent makes gorgeous polishes with amazing scents that last for 24+ hours. I find that the scent does fade but I can still smell it after a couple days. Tuff Scent doesn't make run of the mill scents like we see from everyone else where it just smells like you are living in a cloud of cotton candy...the scents are unique and they smell pretty awesome!

Curtain Call is fine aqua blue glitter in a clear base. This was more dense than I thought it was going to be, which was a nice surprise! The scent for Curtain Call is Tropical Breeze. I can't even tell you guys how amazing this smelled, I wish had smell-o-vision on here! It wasn't sugary or sweet, it literally smells like amazing wind (yes I realize that sounds ridiculous, but I swear that's what it smells like). I used 1 coat of Curtain Call over Zoya Indigo for the photos below. I did use a top coat and could smell the wonderful scent just fine!

Purrr-O-Gative is royal purple glitter in a clear base. This glitter also gives great coverage and it isn't as finely milled as the glitter in Curtain Call. The scent is Pink Bouquet, to me I smell a bit of flowery and a bit of a sugary scent. It's not sugary to the point of giving me a headache which is the problem I have with most sugary scented polishes. pink boquet scent. I used 1 coat of Purr-O-Gative over Zoya Sloane for the photos below!

Tuff Scent polishes are $10 each and can be purchased on Tuffscent.com. They have a ton of gorgeous colors and amazing scents to go with them!

  1. That's awesome; I've never heard of Tuff Scent before! Have fun at your concerts. I do love MxPx :-) Or Magnified Plaid, as I like to call them.

  2. I have never heard of this brand either but I like the idea of actually nice smells instead of "fruity" smells that just smell like candy and not the actual fruit. I should try these sometime. Thank you for sharing!

  6. I'm going to tell you all right now, think twice before ordering from these people. I placed an order in August 2012 that was never filled and my attempts to contact them via email, phone, and FB were ignored. On February 15 they posted on their FB page that they had "received new stock and were filling orders" and that they had been "waiting on materials to ship". Long story short, a month later I haven't received so much as an email going "Hey, we found your order and we're really, really sorry and we're shipping it now!". I like their polishes and I like that they don't have fruity fragrances--those always smell fake to me--but this CS experience so far has been really, really disappointing. And before you ask, I never reversed the charges because, well, I forgot! >.<
