Jessica Fall 2012 Spicy Dream Collection Swatches

TGIF! Anyone have fun plans for this weekend? I'm not really sure what I'm doing yet, I was thinking about going to the beach! Today I have Jessica's Fall 2012 Collection called Spicy Dreams to show you guys. I hadn't seen anything about these prior to getting them in the mail and I about died when I opened up the package! This collection completely screams fall with lots of brown and red tones! To see swatches of each polish click the read more button below!

Brown Sugar is a dark chocolate brown with a silver shimmer running throughout it. The shimmer was noticeable for me both in the sun and inside with just my normal lights on....however in the shade and in low lighting you couldn't see it. The formula was a little bit on the thick side but not the hard to work with kind of thick! I used 2 coats for the photos below!

Shade

Champagne Bubbles is a gold and silver glitter. The glitter in this is very finely milled and almost has a foil like finish! This is not a color I personally like but if you enjoy shades like this one you'll love it! The formula was great and very opaque, I only needed 2 coats for full opacity. This did dry with a bit of texture and I needed 2 coats of top coat to smooth it out. This is so much better in person than it photographs!

Cinnamon Kiss is a vampy red shimmer in a blackened base. It's very very similar to German-icure by OPI, I compared them here if you want to go back and see just how close they are! I am such a fan of polishes like this, I wish there were more of them for Fall this year! The formula was great, I used 2 coats for the photos below!

Shade

Crimson Tattoo is a vampy red jelly. The formula was awesome on this, it was a little thick but again...the easy to apply kind of thick! I used 1 coat for the formula below, unfortunately the macro on my camera is making it look very patchy but in real life I couldn't see it.

Gingersnap is a reddish and golden duochrome-y glitter. This is what I'm talking about!! I love polishes like this, they are nice in the sun but even better in the shade, indoors and in low light! You can see the duochrome both in the sun and in the shade. This is just beautiful! The formula was awesome, I was expecting it to need at least 3 coats for full opacity but I only ended up needing 2!

Pumpkin Delight is much like Gingersnap but much more red toned. The glitter does all the same magical things as Gingersnap! When I opened the package with these polishes this was the first that caught my eye and it definitely didn't disappoint on the nail! The formula was again really nice, I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Overall I think this collection is a total win, it definitely feels like a Fall collection and I love shades like this! My picks are Gingersnap and Pumpkin Delight. I also love Cinnamon Kiss if you don't already have German-icure by OPI!

The Spicy Dream Collection will be available in August 2012 on JessicaCosmetics.com. When I looked yesterday I couldn't find them on their site yet so hopefully they will add them soon!

  1. Your picks are my favorites from this collection. I'm definitely going to pick up Gingersnap and Pumpkin Delight. You think Champagne Bubbles is similar to O.P.I Designer tha Better? I didn't pick up that O.P.I and I've been kicking myself ever since..

  2. Gingersnap totally reminds me of OPI Warm and Fozzie. Comparison later perhaps? Loving the Cinnamon Kiss even though I literally ran into Ultra last night just for German-icure!

  3. I did see cinnamon kiss compared to Germanicure and it is pretty close. I would love to see a comparison of those to Estee Lauder's LE Dressed to Kill. they are all the same idea, with that lit from within shine that is TDF!

  9. Lovely swatches. I think I'm going to pick up Cinnamon Kiss and Pumpkin Delight. Gingersnap does remind me of OPI Warm & Fozzie or the new NOPI Just Busta Mauve. I would love to see a comparison of those if you could.

  11. Not liking this collection as much as I did their spring and summer ones. The glitters just feel too holiday for my taste - but then I have backed way off glitters the past 2 yrs but for sparse topper ones so I am bias here. The first brown-silver shimmer is one of 'those' shades I never can wear - it's just not a color I can pull off esp with the silver in it. I already have Germanicure so that lets out Cinnamon Kiss. Guess I will save $ and look to see what Jessica does for holiday.
