Orly Pretty In Pink Collection Swatches

Hi guys! Today I have Orly's Pretty In Pink Collection to share with you! This collection is Orly's Breast Cancer Awareness Collection for 2012. I came across these last week at my local beauty supply and couldn't resist the pretty glitter for a good cause! I believe 2 of these are part of the Flash Glam FX Collection and 1 is exclusive to this mini collection.  All 3 polishes when bought with this collection also come with a little pink ribbon charm that you can take off and clip onto whatever you want, I have a photo of it at the end of the post if you're interested in seeing it!

To see swatches & reviews of each shade click the read more button below.

Be Brave is magenta/purple & holographic bar glitter in a clear base.  I've already reviewed this shade so I'm just going to copy and paste what I said about this before. This is part of the 22 piece Flash Glam Fx Collection.

If you don't like bar glitter you'll really hate this one haha! I used to loathe the hairy glitter but I finally came around and now I quite like it. The glitter in this was nice, I didn't have any issues with it not wanting to lay flat on the nail! I used 1 coat over Essie Off The Shoulder for the photos below.

Embrace is a mix of salmon pink glitter in a clear base. This glitter is also part of the Flash Glam Fx Collection. I wanted so badly to like this but it is taco glitter city. Usually curling glitter doesn't really bother me, as long as I can get it flat to the nail with a couple coats of top coat I don't care. This however was really bad, it was not laying flat and it was affecting the application of the polish. The glitter payoff was really awesome with this, it's easy to get a ton of glitter on the nail with 1 coat. The downfall is that the taco glitter sticks up and all the other glitter gets stuck on it and bunches up in one spot. I am not a fan of this, which is a shame because I would have loved it if the glitter hadn't been so crappy. I used 1 coat of Embrace over Color Club First Looks for the photos below, both photos are in the shade.

You Are Not Alone is a mix of soft pink glitter in a clear base. This polish is exclusive to the Pretty In Pink Collection and is not part of the Flash Glam Fx Collection. This glitter is much softer looking than Embrace is above but the mix of glitter is pretty much the same so you probably don't need both. I did again have a bit of an issue with curling glitter here, it was not even close to being as bad as it was in embrace and it laid flat with top coat but you can still see it a little bit :( The formula otherwise was great, the glitter coverage was awesome! I used 1 coat over Color Club Show Time for the photos below, all photos are in the shade.

Below is the charm that comes with each bottle from the Pretty in Pink display. I think this is a nice touch, I attached one of the charms to my keychain and gave the other one I got to a friend.

The Pretty In Pink Collection from Orly is available now, you can get it already on etailers like Transdesign.com. I'm not sure of the availability in stores like Ulta and Sally Beauty Supply but if it's not out there yet I'm guessing it will be soon.

Be brave reminds me of this Kleancolor that I have - the name escapes me... but I am so a fan of "hairy glitter"!

  5. Freaking sigh. I placed 2 orders with Transdesign just last week, and either totally missed these or am blind. I've wanted to order them for a giveaway- well, more shipping money! LOL :)

  6. I have Be Brave already. The other two are probably nice to look at inside the bottle, which is ok,since some of my polishes do just stay in the bottle, lol!

Meh. The past couple of Orly collections have been a bit disappointing. Boo!

  16. While the glitter might be frustrating, the effect is amazing with the base you chose
