Sally Hansen Insta Dri: In A Flurry

Hi guys! Today I have a new Sally Hansen Insta Dri polish for Fall 2012 to show you called In A Flurry! I saw this a few weeks ago over on Scrangie's blog and went into full polish hunt mode to find it. I don't really look at the Insta Dri displays when I see them...seems like the last few have been a big snoozefest but the display for Fall 2012 was pretty awesome, I only ended up getting In A Flurry and 1 other but I seriously had to restrain myself from not getting 2 or 3 others also!

In A Flurry has a blackened base packed with shimmer! The colors I mostly saw were green, purple and gold.  In the bottle this looked to have some duochrome but I couldn't see it on the nail. The formula was really nice, I was expecting it to be thick for some reason but it was on the thinner side and it flowed nicely onto the nail. I used 3 coats for full opacity.

While I do love this it didn't live up to being as fantastical as I thought it would be, still glad I tracked it down though. All photos below are in the shade.

Sally Hansen Insta Dri is available at most drugstores like Rite Aid, CVS and Walgreens. I seriously cannot remember where I ended up finding this though...I think it might have been Bed, Bath & Beyond!

  6. SH? Wow, I'm really liking this. Interesting that you comment on it being thin. My experience with SH Insta-dry is that it's thick and difficult to maneuver, if not done super, super, super fast. PS. I'm not super, super, super fast.

    Thanks for the head's up.

  8. After I saw this on Scrangie, I looked for it at Walgreens, but decided I didn't need it after seeing it in person. I can only do so many blackened bases before they all just start looking black to me, lol. It looks pretty in pictures, though.

  9. I've been on the hunt for this one too! Saw a few girls mention Walgreens so I need to check there next. Unless you have a recommendation of a similar polish you liked more?

  11. Love the color but does it wear well? My heart breaks when I get polish that's so pretty but only lasts for 6 hours before chipping.

  12. I only wore it for a day but I didn't have any issues with it

  15. I went on a mad hunt looking for it after I saw it on Scrangie's blog too but unfortunately in real life it didn't look nearly as beautiful as it did on her photo, which was a bit disappointing. I like your swatches better because it's much more accurate to the real deal.

  18. I found this and thought it would work for stamping as the other Insta-Dri polishes do. Nope, it was a thinner polish like you mentioned. In fact while painting polish drips from who the heck knows where and I wiped the brush several times. It sure doesn't cover like I expected it to, it's a bit sheer and definitely not a 1 coater. It looked like a charcoal slurry in the bottle but is very pretty on my nails. The shimmers really catch the light and it's a beautiful polish. I had to put 2 coats to get rid of VNL. I didn't have any trouble finding this and have seen it at Ulta, Walgreen's, HEB, and WalMart. Possibly Target as well. I think I picked this up at Walgreen's. Your pictures are great, as shimmers are so hard to capture but yours clearly shows how packed it is with shimmery glittery sparkle. I'm so glad I stumbled on to your blog!
