China Glaze United In Purpose Collection- My Picks!

Hi guys! Today I have 3 polishes from the China Glaze Breast Cancer Awareness Collection for 2012 called the United In Purpose Collection to share with you! This year China Glaze is putting out a rather large BCA Collection of 12 polishes. The majority of the polishes were pink cremes that didn't call to me very much so they stayed at the store. These 3 definitely caught my eye though, I hope you guys like them also!

To see swatches and reviews of each shade click the read more button below!

Exquisite is a light pink with a heavy silvery white shimmer. This is very reminiscent of OPI Pedal Faster Suzi that came out earlier this year, however it leans more towards a bubblegum pink. You probably don't need both unless you are like me and are a sparkleaholic. The formula was just okay, the consistency was nice but it was on the sheer side. I used 3 coats for the photos below but 4 probably would have been better since I could still see some visible nail line in person.

Shade

Hello Gorgeous! is a light rosy pink glitter mixed with tons of holographic glitter. If you were a fan of the glitters from China Glaze's On Safari Collection for Fall or the Ulta Exclusives China Glaze put out last year you will like this, it's the same kind of formula. The formula was great, not thick at all and very easy to apply. Because the glitter in these is so finely milled they give surprisingly good coverage. I used 2 coats for the photos below! This did dry dull and it ate top coat like no one's business!

Check out the video at the end of the post to see this in action, it's so much better than a photo can show!

Shade

United is a darker more rosy mauve-ish glitter again with lots of holographic glitter mixed in. Color wise it's a couple shades darker than Hello Gorgeous! above but other than that they are very similar. As far as the formula goes it was the same as Hello Gorgeous! I used 2 coats for the photos below.

You can also layer with these, while they do reach pretty much full opacity at 2 coats they are still great for layering. I used 1 coat of each glitter over Nails Inc Black Taxi for the photos below.

Here is also a short video of United and Hello Gorgeous in action. Pictures don't do much justice to glitters like these! Sorry about the lack of sound, I finally upgraded my dinosaur version of iMovie and I'm too technology dumb and tired to figure out how to add sound haha

In case the embeded video doesn't work here is the link! http://youtu.be/AzjCQRrA08U

I am a pretty big fan of all 3 of these polishes, I do think you can skip Exquisite if you have Pedal Faster Suzi though. I also don't think you need both of the glitters, they are both beautiful but color wise they are very similar. If I lost all 3 of these polishes and was for some reason was only allowed to repurchase 1 of them my pick would be United.

As far as I know this is an October release for China Glaze, it is however already available online at places like Transdesign.com!

  4. Ha ha ha. Well, that figures. I just picked up the last CG polish yesterday to finish up my On Safari collection, and now you show me new glitter polishes. I am a sucker for glitters. I absolutely adore I Herd That and I'm Not Lion, the glitters from that one, so I am going to have to get these. SIgh..I was just in Sally's Beauty yesterday looking for the new Halloween colors, which they said was "in the back", and they would put it out on the shelves "soon" meaning not today. United and Hello Gorgeous look almost identical, so I think I will only get one of them.

  6. Hello Gorgeous! Looks like a dupe for Pure Ice Spitfire. I think there may be less holo in hello gorgeous though. These are all very pretty.

That was the first thing I thought too, in the pictures it looks like TD or Milani Pink Flare. Perhaps a comparison post?? :P

  10. I don't own Pink Flare, sorry. Not planning on doing a comparison with Teenage Dream, they are very different.

  18. All three are really gorgeous! Do you know if any of China Glaze's United In Purpose polish sales support the Komen Foundation? I know OPI's do, and -- without getting into a political discussion here -- I want to make sure where my money is going or NOT going. Thanks!
