Hi guys! Today I have swatches of OPI's Holiday/Winter Collection for 2012 inspired by James Bond called the Skyfall Collection for you! Each polish in this 12 piece collection is named after a James Bond movie to celebrate 50 years of James Bond. I was pretty excited about this coming out when I found out the theme, but I think you guys were even more excited than me! I've never gotten so many tweets and emails asking about when I would have swatches up for a collection...hopefully you guys aren't disappointed.
In addition to these 12 shades OPI is also releasing The Man With The Golden Gun, a gold leaf top coat that I've already shown in
this post. They also have 3 magnetic polishes and I believe some nail polish apps also. I haven't picked up the magnetic polishes yet but I have seen them at my local supply store and I might go back for them...we shall see!
Also- a couple other things....I have a dentist appointment again today (ugh) so if you comment on this post (or try to talk to me on Facebook or Twitter) and I don't reply or you don't see your comment approved today that's why! I've also changed up how I'm doing my little collection collages, hope you guys like them this way!
To see all my swatches & reviews of each shade click the read more button below.
Casino Royale is a vampy plum creme. This is a gorgeous classic fall shade, if you don't have something like this in your collection already I think it would be a great addition! The formula was great, it flowed nicely on the nail and was opaque in 2 coats
 |
| Shade |
Die Another Day is a shimmery orangey red. In person this leans a little more towards orange than my camera was able to pick up. The formula was fantastic, it was nearly a 1 coater! If you don't have any free edge you could easily get away with 1 coat, there was a tiny bit of visible nail line on me so I used a thin second coat for the photos below.
 |
| Shade |
GoldenEye is a super dense yellow gold glitter. I wasn't expecting to like this but I really enjoy the finish! In the press release OPI sent for this collection they mentioned that in the movie you could see this shade paired with Skyfall, that will be something fun to look for come November when the Skyfall movie is out! The formula was good, a little more watery than I personally love but the glitter coverage was great and it was opaque in 3 coats.
This is one that is so much better in real life, photos don't do much justice to the glitter!
 |
| Shade |
Live And Let Die is a really dark blackened green with gold/green shimmer. Love this one so so much, it's such a gorgeous green for fall, when you are outside and the light hits the nail right the shimmer is awesome! The formula was pretty much amazing, a 1 coater!
 |
| Shade (holy ghost fingers batman) |
Moonraker is a silvery grey frost. The formula was awful, goopy and thick with a very weird texture...kind of like applying lip gloss to to your nails. This dried looking very lumpy and streaky, I am just not a fan of this, sorry. I used 2 coats for the photos below, if you get this I would recommend using a really good ridge filling base coat with it.
 |
| Shade |
On Her Majesty's Secret Service is a smoky blue base with green/blue/gold/pink shimmer. It's quite complex and changes depending on the angle of your hand, gorgeous shade! The formula was a bit on the sheer side, I used 3 coats for full opacity.
 |
| Shade |
Skyfall is a dark maroon creme. This is another great Fall basic, I was actually a bit underwhelmed by it in the bottle but it's gorgeous on the nail! The formula was really nice and opaque in 2 coats.
 |
| Shade |
The Living Daylights is teal, silver and copper glitter in a clear base. I love this glitter, the colors as so fall and they work perfect with each other. I feel like I don't have anything quite like this in my stash. The formula was good, not thick at all! The glitter coverage was also good, I used 1 coat over Casino Royale for the photos below. Both photos are in the shade.
The Spy Who Loved Me is a bright red packed with golden shimmer. This reminds me of some of the polishes OPI used to do for their Holiday collections a few years back. It looks similar to some of the polishes I have out to swatch for my OPI spam posts. The formula was great, the opacity was better than I expected! I used 2 coats for the photos below.
 |
| Shade |
The World Is Not Enough is a silvery brown base with rosy pink shimmer. This is one that definitely looks better in real life, photos don't do much justice to how gorgeous the shimmer is. The formula was a little sheer, I used 3 coats for full opacity.
 |
| Shade |
Tomorrow Never Dies is a glowy blue toned purple shimmer. The formula was really great, a little on the thick side but the good kind of thick, not the hard to apply kind. I used 2 coats for the photos below.
 |
| Shade |
You Only Live Twice is a bright magenta packed with fuchsia and gold shimmer. This was so beautiful out in the sun, the shimmer was crazy! The formula was good, a bit sheer on the first coat but I only ended up needing 2 coats for full opacity.

Overall I really like this collection, there are some standout shades for me like The Living Daylights, Live And Let Die and GoldenEye! I'd love to know what you guys think and what you'll be picking up from this collection!
The Skyfall Collection will be available beginning in October 2012 at professional salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty
First, Chatters, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret,
and ULTA, for $8.50 each
Could you compare OPI I'm Suzi and i'm chocoholic and Skyfall please.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see a comparison between Live and Let Die and China Glaze's Glittering Garlan, if you have it of course. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I have Zoya FeiFei and Sinful Colors Winter Wonder and they look almost identical to On Her Majesty's Secret Service not sure if they are all the same though.
I hope your appointment went well :)
I picked up Tomorrow Never Dies and I love it! I also picked up Goldeneye and The Living Daylights. I think they did a really good job with this collection.
ReplyDeleteCan you compare Casino Royale with Zoya Monica if you get a chance?
ReplyDeleteOooo, I love comparisons! Is On Her Majesty's Secret Service anywhere near Zoya Fei Fei or is it darker? Also, Tomorrow Never Dies looks very similar to Into The Night, from the Spider Man collection. Is it?
ReplyDeleteGood luck at the dentist! I had a wisdom tooth out the other day and it's just not good, is it? Close your eyes and just think of pretty polish colours! ;)
Could you compare die another day with danke shiny red for me please?
ReplyDelete/Simone
Thanks for the swatches! =) I'm really liking this collection too, much better than last year's holiday collection IMO.
ReplyDeleteSome comparisons I'd like to see are The Spy Who Loved Me to OPI Ali's Big Break, Casino Royale to ChG Purr-fect Plum and Live and Let Die to Essence Walk on the Wild Side and ChG Glittering Garland.
I think Tomorrow Never Dies would be my fave in the whole collection! :D The reds and gold look awesome too, but the blue was the one that really caught my eye. :)
ReplyDeleteGoldenEye is my favorite by far! It looks so royal!
ReplyDeleteCould you do a comparison of Zoya FeiFei and On Her Majesty's Secret Service?
ReplyDeleteOn Her Majesty's Secret Service looks a lot like Zoya FeiFei. Is it a dupe?
ReplyDeleteStunning colors! Live and Let Die is my fav of the bunch. Where do you find the time to do all of these amazing swatches?! Great work.
ReplyDeleteI was really excited about this collection, but some of them do look similar to polishes I already own. I'd love to see these comparisons:
ReplyDeleteGolden Eye- Sally Hansen CSM Gilded Lily from the fall Target collection
On Her Majesty's Secret Service- Zoya FeiFei
World is Not Enough- Nicole for OPI As Gold as it Gets Target fall collection
Die Another Day- Zoya Elisa
In the sun, Casino Royale looks like Sally Hansen CSM Cherry Cherry Bang Bang, but I think the latter is brighter.
I do love the glitter though. I want to sandwich it with Zoya Frida.
You only live twice really reminds me of China Glaze Strawberry fields. A comparison of the two would be awesome :)
ReplyDeleteNice! XoXo
ReplyDeleteI am loving the World is Not Enough! Can you compare on her majesty's secret service to zoya feifei?
ReplyDeletePretty please with a cherry on top compare opi goldeneye to models own gold rush :D
ReplyDelete*Crossing my fingers you have models own gold rush!*
If I can only have one, it's has to be Live and Let Die...that shimmer is TDF!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, gorgeous swatches!!
ReplyDeleteThat's fun--the 3 shades I picked up from the collection were Goldeneye, Live and Let Die, and The Living Daylights! :) Same trip I also found Royal Rajah Ruby and Glow Up Already from Burlesque in a clearance bin for $3.49 (score!).
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if you happened to pick up the MAC Marilyn Vintage Vamp to do a comparison with OPI's Skyfall. I think they look pretty close.
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at the applying lipgloss to nails.....I've had colors like that. So weird!
ReplyDeleteHow close is The World is Not Enough to NOPI's For Gold Time Sake?
I CANNOT WAIT TO GET THESE!!!!! Except for Moonraker, because frosty polishes are evil.
ReplyDeleteYou Only Live twice, can you please compare it to OPI I'm All Ears from the Minnie Mouse Collection? Thanks Everso xx
ReplyDeleteYay! I've been trying to find a blog with swatches of these done well. You always do such a great job! I cant wait to get my hands on these!
ReplyDeleteI bought Skyfall and later kicked myself for not getting GoldenEye because I think the 2 would look really gorgeous together! Maybe you could show us?
ReplyDeleteWould you do a comparison between In Her Majesty's Secret Service and Zoya FeiFei? They look quite similar, but a side by side would be interesting. :)
ReplyDeleteThis collections is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteHi !!
ReplyDeleteI'm Muriel from Bordeaux France !!!
I have a question please :
I'm going to LA in January and I know that the brand OPI is in Hollywood ,
do you think it's possible to go directly at the factory
and buy polish directly in a kind of "factory shop " ?
It will be great if it will be possible !!!
thank's for the response !
Muriel
Could you compare You Only Live Twice to Meep-Meep-Meep and Let Me Entertain You?
ReplyDeleteTomorrow Never Dies reminds me of Bizzare Blurple (ChG) and Personal Stylisy (Color Club). A comparison would be appreciated.
The Spy Who Loved Me reminds me of Ali's Big Break and Dear Santa.
On Her Majesty's Secret Service looks like Zoya FeiFei.
Casino Royale reminds me of Color Club By Design.
Live And Let Die looks like a duper for Glittering Garland.
I would love to see comparisons.
Eager to see the comps posts...I am rocking You Only Live Twice being as I am so nuts for magentas/fuchsias. This one has a bit of red-raspberry in it that makes it completely different than others I have...I thought it might be close to OPI's Let Me Entertain You that has been a all time fav magenta glass fleck of mine since it come out in holiday Burlesque 2010...it's a magenta I can wear in winter that does not look summer but it's OK in summer too. So I am really happy to see OPI doing a new take on the winter magenta. I think over yrs that is going to be one of the sought after VHTF and would adore to see it in the classic collection but know that cannot happen with these movie tie ins because OPI only has a short time to market the names from the contract they get for use of the movie tie in merchandising. I like and bought all of these except for Moonraker (too frost and I don't wear light blue well - gives me lob hands), also the glitter did not shake my world at all. The name sake of this collection Skyfall, just leaves me flat and is the one I think completely misses the mark for tie in to holiday, the other shades, Bond - you name it. On the whole I think OPI did better with this collection for holiday than they have in some time...but I am still hoping they drop the movie tie in for their holiday collections and go back to a REAL holiday collection - those by far were always the most anticipated collections they released all yr that I looked forward to. For comps I would recommend of course YOLT vs Let Me Entertain You and the magenta OPI from the Katy Perry collection The One That Got Away - there even is another OPI reaching way back to Toyland 2008 holiday called Don't Toy With Me - they all fall into that winter magenta with glass fleck category. I am sure you have your own ideas of comps to make...I would like to add It would be great to see the burple in this collection next to the burple from China Glaze Halloween 2012 collection - I keep thinking in my mind they are close but don't own the CG so not sure.
ReplyDeleteOh - forgot to add, the surprise like for me in this collection is Goldeneye - I am not a gold polish fan at all but a friend and then a blogger talked me into going back to get that one and I got the old regret - you are going to hate it if you really get a lemming for it and it's gone or up to $15 a bottle on 2nd market...so I picked it up and found it's like no other gold I own and no other glitter I have either - it's not all gritty like sand like most glitters are - it's smoother but some rise feeling to it but does not other me...however when removing it, it shatters all over and I am picking out flecks of gold from everything for a week still after wearing it. I did get 3 bottles of Man With The Golden Gun - I have finally just played with it last night. I want to carefully look at all 3 boxes so I opened the one box that was not in pristine condition as I might want to gift/sell the other 2. It's 90 degrees where I live now this week (again - ugh)...so not rocking it over Casino Royale like I would prefer to or a few other shades I have in mind not from this collection - but have it over a light turq cream. It's OK but not sure it's worth $30 in retail if you even find it that is...I got mine through a friend who is licensed and while she made $ off me I still bought mine for $15. It's a novelty - Am waiting for my Zoya to arrive to see if I like one over the other better.
ReplyDeleteOn Her Majesty's Secret Service and The World is Not Enough look like two new Zoya's, FeiFei and Daul.
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if The Spy Who Loved Me is similar to OPI's Red Dazzle from the Kick Up Your Heels Collection.
exactly what i wanted to write !
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for this. Between this post and your last Zoya post, I need to start saving for quite a few new polishes.
ReplyDeleteGreat swatches!
ReplyDeleteFor "Her Majesty", I would love to see a comparison with Zoya's "FeiFei"! I've heard it's a close (if not complete) dupe. Love the new collage photos :)
ReplyDeletei second that, and china glaze ahoy alongside with them, please ;)
ReplyDeleteI bought I lot from that collection I didn't know about Tomorrow never dies and you confirm that I picked the greatests hehe
ReplyDeleteI have a few polishes from this collection and I really love them! Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteLove your swatches and the main collage at the top!
ReplyDeleteWhen you have streaking in your "foil" like polishes have you ever tried using a sponging technique? I've seen somewhere that once you paint your base coats that if you spong like you would a gradient the same color then it will help soften the look and wil remove streaky lines! I've never tried it but thought you might like it since you have so many polishes with this effect =]
ReplyDeletecould you compare Casino Royal to OPI No Spain No Gain if you have it? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe only one I really want is The Living Daylights. The magnetics look cool too...I'm kinda over magnetics, but the patterns and the magnetic device itself make the OPI ones pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteI just picked these up today and I'm so glad I did! Look like wonderful, intense colours.
ReplyDeleteThe World Is Not Enough reminds me of Designer, De Better. I think I'll be picking up GoldenEye, possibly Tomorrow Never Dies.
ReplyDeleteOooh. I MUST get these! Thanks, as always, for the great posts.
ReplyDeleteLovely swatches as always. I would love to see comps of Casino Royale to ChG Urban-Night and You Only Live Twice to Zoya Kimber. I almost grabbed both of those, but thought they looked too close to ones I already have.
ReplyDeleteI love this collection. I want to buy all of them but I rather to be sure first if I do not have some of them already in my stash.
ReplyDeleteAs for comparisons:
Tomorrow Never Dies - Zoya Song?
On Her Majesty's Secret Service - Zoya FeiFei?
Thanks! :)
I actually like Moonraker more than TND! Even though I don't care for the crappy wear I get from "chrome" type polishes. I LOVE Skyfall and it's my current pedicure. It's such a gorgeous color and when I saw it, I knew it was the oxblood fall color and I love that shade of red, so I got it. I'm happy with my choices...with the exception of TND, but I may appreciate it more when I wear it...I hope!
ReplyDeleteLALD with GE would be a pretty combination. I think that's my next mani!
The World is Not Enough kind of reminds me of Designer De Better from the Muppets collection of last year. You Only Live Twice and Live and Let Die will be must-buys for me.
ReplyDeleteI don't think you can but I'm sure there will be a lot of shops you can find OPI in around that area!
ReplyDeleteI don't have that one, I'm sorry :(
ReplyDeleteYour swatches of these are so great (as usual). There are so many I like, however, not sure I need quite as many as I want, haha! As for comparisons, I would love to see Die Another Day compared to Danke-Shiny Red & Deutsch You Want Me Baby from OPI Germany, and The World Is Not Enough with NOPI Just Busta Mauve, and GoldenEye with L'oreal Amazon's Flash (last year Project Runway release - I'll even lend it to you if you don't have it!!) :)
ReplyDeleteTo my eye I think Kimber has more of a golden foil shimmer to it - I've seen it compared more to ChG Strawberry Fields. I'd love to see YOLT compared to OPI Congeniality is my Middle Name (pretty sure they're nothing alike but still want to see).
ReplyDeleteI love love your blog. You have the best descriptions and swatches by far! I would love to see Casino Royale compared with Opi's Boris & Natasha if you have it. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI really want this collection but I'm supposed to be on a polish buying ban...blargh. Lol. Hopefully they will be releasing a lot of mini sets...then I can at least semi-justify it to myself :D
ReplyDeleteDo you think Tomorrow never dies compares to China glaze Want my Bawdy? thanks!
ReplyDeleteCould you compare Goldeneye with Sally Hansen Gilded Lilly (sorry If you get this twice)
ReplyDeleteI did a half moon mani with sky fall and goldeneye. Goldeneye is the moon part and I will be loathed to take it off when it chips! It's so pretty!!!
ReplyDeleteHow is tomorrow Never Dies compared to Into the Night frm OPI's spiderman collection?
ReplyDeleteThe magnetic polishes from this line are worth picking up! Best magnetic polishes I have tried so far...and I've tried a lot.
ReplyDeleteCould you please compare Casino Royale with Zoya Monica from the fall collection?
ReplyDeleteThere are some limited mini sets. But over all this collection is going to have a much smaller distribution/run so less units will be out there. It was over sold I was told by 2 OPI distributors now and apparently issues with doing the new production runs planned due to infringements on the agreement for OPI to use the Bond license. So this might be one hard collection to get hold of down the road. Suggest if you like anything, get it ASAP. Prices are going to go up if it's only found on evil bay and other secondary markets due to a short supply.
ReplyDeleteAgree - I have both - YOLT (and my fav in this collection) and Kimber - they are not alike at all. Kimber is more red with gold foil as you say - YOLT is very much in the magenta family which Kimber is not.
ReplyDeleteI also think this would be a good compare - i cannot find my No Spain No Gain to swatch them side by side - been looking. There also is another deep burgundy cream coming from OPI in Jan 2013 in the Euro Centrale collection that is looking a ton like Casino Royal to me but too vague of swatches out there as of yet to know...and would seem odd if OPI did release to burgundy creams super close in shade that close together with only the Mariah mini collection released between them.
ReplyDeleteGreat collection! I'd like to see two comparisons:
ReplyDeleteCasino Royale vs. Essie Bahama Mama
On Her Majesty's Secret Service vs. Zoya FeiFei
Thank you!
I was thinking the same thing about the Muppets Designer De Better and The World is Not Enough, at least from pictures.
ReplyDeletewhy not buy it online? Then you won't miss out. But i know thats not the same as going into a proper shop,,,so many bottles of polish- nail polish heaven!!
ReplyDeleteOOHH so excited to go look at these :)
ReplyDeleteCould you possibly compare casino royale with Essie Footloose? and you only live twice with I'm all ears?(i think that's the one) (the shimmery hot pink from the Minnie mouse collection) also
the world is not enough with Orly rage and OPI designer de better??
THANK YOU!! :)
P.s LOVE your blog :) your nail swatches are to die for!! You're my go-to for polish swatches :)
xoxo
Shannon
I'd love to see comparisons of:
ReplyDeleteDie Another Day and Danke-Shiny Red
Goldeneye and Dazzled by Gold
:-)
I was curious how OPI-Ink compares to Tomorrow Never Dies
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I don't own either of the Sally Hansen CSM polishes you mentioned but I'll put the others on my list to do!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the suggestions, I don't own Let Me Entertain You or Dear Santa, but the others are on my list!
ReplyDeleteI don't own Dazzled by Gold but I'll put Danke Shiny Red on my list :)
ReplyDeletethank you! I don't own Essie Footloose but I do own all the others...I'll put them on my list!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I don't own that Essie but I do own the Zoya, I'll add it to my list :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I don't own that polish :(
ReplyDeleteThanks Kristine! Unfortunately I don't own Boris & Natasha, I'm sorry :(
ReplyDeleteI don't own the Loreal unfortunately but I'll add the others to my list!
ReplyDeleteI don't own No Spain No Gain, sorry :(
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried it, but I have heard of it. When I'm swatching I like to show the polishes how they apply out of the bottle. Usually if I have to mess with something to get it to look good I'm not really interested in using it again...too much work lol
ReplyDeletethank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeletewoohoo! Glad you like it!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteIt's a bad week for wallets around here this week lol!
ReplyDeletethanks for the suggestions, I'll add them to my list!
ReplyDeletethanks for the suggestions, I'll add the ones I own to my list!
ReplyDeleteglad you like it!
ReplyDeletethanks for the suggestion, I'll add it to my list!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeletethanks for the suggestion, I'll add it to my list!
ReplyDeleteIt's so weird, I was like wtf when I was applying it lol! I'll add that comparison to my list!
ReplyDeleteI don't own that Mac polish, sorry! I always have issues with their formula and the brushes being awful so I don't buy from them unless it's amazing
ReplyDeletewhat a deal! I never find stuff like that lol!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jamie!
ReplyDeleteI agree, it's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYep, it's on my list!
ReplyDeletethanks for the suggestion, I'll add it to my list!
ReplyDeletewill do :)
ReplyDeletePretty much all sunlight hours of the weekend are spent swatching...it's like a part time job lol!
ReplyDeleteit's very close, I'll have the comparison up next week!
ReplyDeleteIt's on my list!
ReplyDeleteIt does! Glad you like it too!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it!
ReplyDeletethanks for the suggestions, I'll add them to my list!
ReplyDeleteI'll add it to my list!
ReplyDeleteugh, the dentist is awful...I loathe having to go lol! I'll add those comparisons to my list!
ReplyDeleteI finally saw some swatches of them and I think I'm going to go get them, they do look awesome!
ReplyDeleteI'll add that comparison to my list! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sammie! :)
ReplyDeletethanks for the suggestions, I'll add them to my list!
ReplyDeleteI'll add it to my list! You never know, might be close enough to not need both!
ReplyDeletethanks for the suggestions, I'll add them to my list!
ReplyDeleteI'll add that comparison to my list!
ReplyDeleteI'll add that one to my list, thanks Stacie!
ReplyDeleteyep, I'm definitely going back for them...I finally looked up swatches and they look great!
ReplyDeleteHi Crystal, I'll add that to my list! Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteI'll add that comparison to my list, thanks!
ReplyDeletelol! Agree about Moonraker, sometimes I can deal with the frost but the formula was so bad that it's just no bueno no matter how you look at it
ReplyDeleteIt would be awesome if you could do a comparison swatch of "You only live twice" against "I'm all ears" from the Minnie Mouse collection, because I'm really curious how close they are since they are both magenta shimmers. THANKS!!!!
ReplyDeleteCould you please do a dupe comparison of "You only live twice" against "I'm all ears" from the Minnie Mouse collection? I'm really curious to see how close these two are. THANKS!!!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by a blog administrator.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how Casino Royale looks in comparison to China Glaze Purr-fect Plum? And how Tomorrow Never Dies compares to China Glaze Want My Bawdy? I like how you mentioned that Tomorrow Never Dies only needs two coats for opacity whereas Want My Bawdy needs three coats which can be annoying. Thanks for your beautiful swatches! Can't wait to pick up a few of these!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Then if they're not alike I'll have to hunt YOLT down because it's my fave of the collection, just like beachgal :)
ReplyDeleteFab post as ever! Do you know how close You only live twice is compared to OPI Im all ears??
ReplyDeleteTrying to decide if i need both in my life! x
Golden eye reminds me of sinful colors all about you, so I didn't pick it up, could you compare it to that if you have it?
ReplyDeleteI don't own that Sinful Colors polish, sorry :(
ReplyDeleteI'll have a big comparison post up soon with that included!
ReplyDeleteLive and Let Die -- China Glaze Wagon Trail and China Glaze Cast a Spell
ReplyDeleteTomorrow Never Dies -- Zoya Suri
Casino Royal - OPI Pamplona Purple
p.s. Thank you so much for having one of the most gorgeous and helpful blogs!
I've seen comparisons of Fei Fei and OHMSS. It's been established by several bloggers that the two are identical, which is why I didn't order OHMSS when I finally chose my Skyfall polishes.
ReplyDeleteI did a bottle comparison of Tomorrow Never Dies with Bizarre Blurple, they look like they'd be close, if not dupes. I'd be curious to see a comparison on the wheel or nail. :)
ReplyDeleteFor those who like On Her Majesty's Secret Service, two things. First, it's a dupe for Zoya FeiFei so don't pick it up if you already have FF. Also, Sinful Colors has a dupe of the color in its Winter collection called Winter Wonder, so you may want to save money and pick that one up instead.
ReplyDeleteWhen exactly is this coming out?
ReplyDeleteShould be in stores sometime this month, it depends on the store and when they decide to put it on shelves
ReplyDeleteAnother one that is looking like it has a sister is Live and Let Die. It is reminding me of China Glaze Cast a Spell but Cast a Spell looks like it has more gold shimmer in it. I am completely off on this comparison? I can't decided between Cast a Spell/Live and Let Die and Bizarre Blurple/Tomorrow Never Dies! I don't know which ones I would like best.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see how OPI - Casino Royal compares to Essie - Bahama Mama, OPI - Dim Sum Plum and OPI - Pamplona Purple
ReplyDeleteseriously looking forward to trying out Live And Let Die! i love Bond! anyway, those frosty colors are leaving a streak (not good).
ReplyDeleteOn Her Majesty's Secret Service reminds me of Spa Ritual Sacred Ground. Thanks for the awesome swatches and all the hard work :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, 'The Spy Who Loved Me' looks a LOT like 'Red Dazzle,' which came out with a Holiday collection back in 2005, I think. It's pretty HTF now and seems to go for a lot on eBay, so this is probably a nice alternative for folk who can't get their hands on it. 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' looks just like Sinful Color's 'Winter Wonder,' which just came out with THEIR Holiday Collection, so hooray for cheaper options (And both are dupes for Zoya 'Fei Fei,' I'm told?).
ReplyDeleteOh, woops, and it turns out you already made most of the comparisons I mentioned already! My fault just googling the Skyfall collection without checking the rest of the blog, but damn, good job on the blogging.
ReplyDeleteAmazing photos! I do have a request - if you have time, could you swatch Orly Rock-It against You Only Live Twice on the nail? In the bottle (they're on my desk as I type) Rock-It has a lot more gold shimmer, but I never found that it showed up well on the nail. Other than that difference, the two seem to have the same (gorgeous) magenta glass fleck base.
ReplyDeleteI've already done comparisons for this collection, sorry. Not sure if I'll be doing any more
ReplyDeleteJust saw it. Thanks a lot! I won't be buying it since I already own FeiFei.
ReplyDeleteOMG! This was my first time here. Your site is awesome and so very informative. I appreciate your attention to detail. I'll definitely be back!!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
ReplyDeleteHere in Germany I would have to pay 248 Dollar for this collection (192 €).
ReplyDeleteIt would be really great if you could compare OPI "I'm Suzi and I'm a Chocoholic" and "Skyfall"
ReplyDeleteI'm don't have time to do any more comparisons for this collection, sorry. I have seen them side by side and they aren't dupes if that helps at all
ReplyDeleteDo you think Casino Royale is a good dupe for China Glaze Purr-fect Plum? You don't have to swatch them together or anything. I just wanted your opinion since I don't own Casino Royale but I do have Purr-fect Plum. I don't want to own them both if they are dupes.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could tell you but I can't see to find my bottle of Purr-fect Plum :(
ReplyDeleteI lovvve these. I bought On Her Majesty's Secret Service and you're right it took 3 coats to make it fully pop, but I adore it nonetheless, such a stunner. I really want Goldeneye, You Only Live Twice and Live and Let Die after seeing your reviews and swatches!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by a blog administrator.
ReplyDeleteGot a pedi with Skyfall- looks darker than I anticipated but I am very fair. Overall it's a very sleek color and looks really nice.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by a blog administrator.
ReplyDeleteI got Live And Let Die and You Only Live Twice for Christmas as a present by my cousin. I fell so much in love with those polishes after I'd read your post that I told basically everybody how gorgeous they look, so she got them for me - I'm wearing You Only Live Twice as I am writing this. :) The colour is so amazing and it applies real nicely, so I am looking forward to trying Live And Let Die...
ReplyDeleteThanks for your great reviews, I love your blog!!
