Sephora by OPI Disney Cinderella A Brush With Fate Collection Swatches

Hi guys! Good news, I survived the dentist...still have a couple more appointments to go before I'm done but I'm half way there! I think the worst is over, I'm seriously so sick of the dentist and teeth...I wish I had dentures (not really, but kinda). Anyway, today I have a new mini set from Sephora by OPI to share with you guys. Sephora just recently released a few things themed after Cinderella, other than this nail polish set there are a couple eyeshadow palettes, 2 perfumes, a lipstick set and a super cute mirror. I picked up the nail polish obviously and also the smaller eyeshadow palette, I couldn't resist the cute packaging...I am also a sucker for all Disney things based on movies from my childhood. I'm crossing my fingers that Sephora never does a Little Mermaid themed collection...if they do I might as well just send them my paycheck because I'll be buying everything from it.

Right now everything from the Cinderella Collection is available online for beauty insiders only, it says on Sephora's site that these will be in store in early October! If you want to see everything in the Cinderella Collection you can check it out here. The A Brush With Fate mini set comes with 6 mini sized polishes, 3 shimmers and 3 glitters. I don't think any of these are available in full size, at least not that I could find.

To see swatches & reviews of each polish click the read more button below.

Bibbidi, Bobbidi, Pink! is a mix of pink glitter in a clear base. This reminds me a little bit of glitter OPI just put out for Breast Cancer Awareness, they aren't dupes but maybe sisters. The formula was nice, it wasn't thick and the glitter payoff was great! I used 1 coat over I Blue My Curfew for the photos below.

Shade

Sun
I Blue My Curfew is a gorgeous blue shimmer. This one is so lush looking, I don't think it's super unique but it's such a nice color, probably my favorite of the set. My only complaint, this stained...even with 2 coats of base coat :( I did manage to get the staining off with cuticle remover but that was a huge bummer. The formula was nice, it was a little sheer at first but it built up nicely. I used 3 coats for the photos below. The shimmer was visible in bright and low light, I actually preferred this in low light!

Shade

Rags to Rhinestones is small gold and silver glitter in a clear base. The formula was a little thick but very easy to apply and the glitter coverage was great. I really enjoyed this over Self-Maid Millionaire which you can see below but it didn't photograph well. I ended up using 1 coat over Nails Inc Black Taxi for the photos below.

Shade

Shade

Self-Maid Millionaire is a sandy gold with a foil finish. Normally I'm not a gold nail polish kind of girl, it tends to look horrible on my skin tone. However, I really like this one...it leans a bit towards tan on me which makes it more wearable for me. The formula was great, I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Shade

Step Off, Sister! is blue and silver glitter in a clear base. This polish reminds me a bit of the dress Cinderella wears at all ball! I'm loving the name of this one too haha! The formula was nice, it wasn't thick and the glitter coverage was really nice! I used 1 coat over So Totally Enchanted for the photos below.

Shade

So Totally Enchanted is a silvery shimmer. There are little bits of golden shimmer in here too but they are very hidden unless you are in the shade (my camera couldn't seem to pick them up) I wasn't expecting to like this from how it looked in the bottle but once it was on I quite liked it. The formula was a bit of a bummer, it was very sheer. I needed 4 coats to be opaque. Normally that would annoy me but it wouldn't be that huge of a deal. However, when you can only get these polishes in mini sizes that kind of thing makes me a little angry. If I need 4 coats to get something opaque I'm going to go through this tiny bottle of polish in a heartbeat.

The Disney Cinderella A Brush With Fate Mini Set is available on Sephora's website now for beauty insiders, it retails for $24.50. It should be available in store and online for everyone sometime this month!

  3. This isn't really all that impressive. I'm a big Disney fan and to be honest, this is a little disappointing. There are so many gorgeous colors they could have taken from the film. Heck, even Sinful Colors managed a better Cinderella polish than this. I don't know. I think the Sephora collection has very little to do with Disney's Cinderella outside of the packaging. I got the mirror, though, and it's absolutely gorgeous.

  6. Really pretty colours! :)

  7. I find mini bottles of polish in general to be such a disappointment. Nail polish bottles are already small objects to begin with.

  8. Bibbidi, Bobbidi, Pink! has soo many layering possibilities! I'm also with you on Self-Maid Millionaire. I feel like those colors never look good with my skin tone, but this one looks great on you! I also LOOOVVVE the Step Off Sister and So Totally Enchanted combo. This is a fun collection! Nothing crazy, but they are all pretty and have a lot of mixing and matching potential.

  9. So glad your dentist thing went OK. I am dreading all the work I need done - either need to pull out about 10 and get implants & a bridge, or think of doing the entire mouth in dentures. Not fair. I always took good care of my teeth and mouth. Not being a Disney anything fan I was not on the gotta get this when it comes out bandwagon. Nothing too earth-shattering here. I like the blue but I have so many that seem similar. Curious if you have a good base that you layer up 3 times at least when you are using a polish that looks like it might stain? I never get staining anymore now that I am using Orly Nail Armor.

  10. Wow $25 for mini polishes!!!! Guess I'll pass on this one. The colors aren't that unique. Your swatches look nice as always.

  11. Step Off, Sister!, to me looks like china glaze lorelei's tiara and Sally Hansen Showgirl Chic. At least from these pictures but maybe I am wrong.

  13. The blue and the gold remind me very much of colours from Color Clubs Molten Metallics collection, you make them look lovely as usual though! x x x

  14. I don't have the Sally Hansen you mentioned but the glitter is much smaller than the glitter in China Glaze Lorelei's Tiara

  15. The silver shimmer looks really soft compared to regular silver polishes.. I like that! Also, this set is very cute in appaerence.

  17. To be completely honest, I was super excited for this collection, but after seeing your swatches nothing really grabs my attention. I am with you in The Little Mermaid. I was obsessed when I was younger. I heard that it is coming out in 3D next year.

  18. Surprisingly I'm loving your photos of Self-Maid Millionaire, I don't even like golds very much - mmm... adding this collection to my list for Christmas shopping :)

  19. Pretty polishes, but nothing very unique. Which is probably best, since I bought more bottles of polish within the last week than I can count on two hands.

I know Cinderella wears blue, but I was hoping to see a little more pink. Eh, oh well...I do wonder how similar some of these are to other polishes. I Blue my Curfew reminds me a lot of OPI Swimsuit...Nailed It!, and Self Made Millionaire reminds me a lot of OPI Glitzerland...any dupes?

  21. Swimsuit Nailed It is a different finish, I don't own Gliterzland so I'm not sure how they compare, sorry!

  22. So Totally Enchanted + Step Off Sister can be a dupe for CG Lorelei's Tiara:D
