Happy Weekend! Anyone doing anything fun this weekend? It's supposed to be really hot here, we're still waiting for some version of Fall to happen here. It was like 90 degrees yesterday, what the heck!
Today I have Girly Bits September, October & November Calendar Girls polishes to show you guys...along with a little bonus called Black Eyed Susan. I was going to do a spam post today but I keep forgetting to post these and they are so pretty I wanted to share them instead!
Check out more photos & reviews of each shade by clicking the read more button below!
Crunchy Leaves is red, orange, copper and brown glitter in what Pam describes as a sheer earthy base. This is the November Calendar Girls shade. I really love this one, the glitter isn't super chunky and you can layer it or build it up depending on what you like. The formula was great, not thick at all! I used 1 coat over OPI Skyfall for the photos below.

Howl At The Moon is a sheer blurple base with various sizes of gold glitter. I actually thought the base was black but it's sheer so it's hard to tell. This is the October Calendar Girls polish, fitting name! This is another that you can build up in about 3 coats or you can layer it. I decided to layer it over Zoya Storm, I thought it might give it some nice depth! The formula was nice, not thick and the glitter payoff was good! I used 1 coat over Zoya Storm for the photos below.

Indian Summer is pink, blue, periwinkle, copper and gold glitter in a sheer shimmery periwinkle base. This polish is the September Calendar Girls shade. I feel like every other swatch I've seen of this was over blue so I wanted to try it over a different shade. I went with peach, strangely enough when you layer sheer periwinkle over peach is makes a really nice nude shade for my skin tone...that was a weird and nice surprise. The formula was really nice on Indian Summer, not thick and the glitter payoff was great. I like how the shimmer in the base came out over the peach! I used 1 coat over Ulta Peach Parfait for the photos below.

Black Eyed Susan is yellow, green and brown glitter of various sizes in a clear base. This isn't part of the Calendar Girls Collection but I've been dying to post it so I thought I'd put it in this post! I really love this mix of glitter, I don't have anything like it in my stash! Great formula, the glitter was abundant and easy to get onto the nail. I used 1 coat over China Glaze White-Kwik-Silvr for the photos below.

ReplyDeleteI don't like glitter too much but ultra peach parfait combination.
ReplyDeleteI'm a November baby, and I loved Crunchy Leaves when she first posted pics. It's perfect. It's everything I love about fall in a nail polish. And now that I've seen your swatches, I love it even more. I need it!

ReplyDeleteIt should be back soon!
ReplyDeleteI really want to get Indian Summer - I think it is such a gorgeous combo of glitter. I am a little nervous about the shimmer however. On me, I feel like a shimmer will always look pearlized/frosty, and I really do not like those finishes. How significant is the shimmer? Thanks for all you do!! Your swatches are consistently the best =)
ReplyDeletethank you ♥ The shimmer in Indian Summer didn't really lean towards frosty at all, I think you'd like it!
