Hi guys! Today I have another one of the 18K Gold Leaf top coats that are so hot right now to show you! This one is from the brand Jessica, I mentioned seeing it in a supply shop in my The Man With The Golden Gun post. I originally passed this up because the OPI packaging was blowing my mind. I was surprised when a few days later the Jessica arrived in my mailbox, it was fate haha!
Jessica's Gold Leaf top coat was easy to apply, the flakes weren't too small which was nice. I did find the best method for me was applying a coat like normal then going back and dabbing on more flakes where I wanted them. I'm a big fan of these gold top coats, they are pricey but I think it's something good to put on a birthday list or a fun splurge...that kind of thing! The first couple photos below are the Gold Leaf top coat over Ulta Whatever Floats Your Moat. Clearly I am still obsessed with this blue gold combo...I don't think I will ever tire of it.
Below is Jessica's Gold Leaf top coat over Revlon Colorstay Spanish Moss!
Jessica can put purchased at JessicaCosmetics.com, the Gold Leaf Top Coat retails for $29.95. If you have a nail supply shop near you that sells Jessica you may be able to find this there for a bit cheaper. I've seen it at several of the stores in my area that carry Jessica for around $15 (still expensive but not as bad!)

Very pretty polish!! I'm from The Netherlands, and I want it too... So I looked it up at eBay and it's for sale for $14,95 (+ $6 shipping) :D
ReplyDeleteWhere in the NL? My sister is in den Haag.
DeleteI don't know why, but I just can't get into these gold flake top coats. It's probably better for my wallet though!
ReplyDeleteLooks amazing on both polishes! Never thought it would look good on light polishes but it does!

Love it over both of these shades - I have the Zoya one and the OPI MWGG and am wanting to put it over just about everything...I had recently switched from wearing white metals for jewelry back to my yellow and rose gold and having the gold foil on my nails really pops. Even the eye doc I saw yesterday noticed my mani and said he liked it & wondered what it was that I had done. He said he needed to look for it to surprise is wife - is that not too cute?
ReplyDeleteBlue and gold is just so classic together, and it looks *beautiful* with Spanish Moss! I don't think I'm going to have any luck at all finding the OPI gold coat here in Hong Kong, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for the Jessica--it's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe second combo, so pretty!
ReplyDeletevery very very pretty *_____*

I like! XoXo
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I'm with you, I LOVE the gold a blue combo. The Spanish Moss mani is gorgeous, too!
ReplyDeletetry a darkish purple with the gold leaf top coats. purple and yellow/gold are complimentary colors, so they should go well together

ReplyDeleteThe gold over blue looks just like lapis lazuli stones, cool!
ReplyDeleteIt really is! Thanks for sharing that. I'm always gobsmacked if a man I don't know comments on my nails. :-)
