Hi guys! Hope you all had a great weekend, I did! I started working on a couple fun projects that you guys will see soon, if you follow me on
instagram you might have already gotten a tiny bit of a sneak peek!
Today I have one of the Halloween polishes Whimsical Ideas by Pam recently released, it's called Wicked! As soon as I saw a photo of this pop up in my Facebook feed I needed it! Wicked is a shimmery green base packed with red, white and black glitter. What I was omg-ing over when I saw this is the black glitter...it's big circular glitter! It my gigantic stash of nail polish I had exactly zero polishes with this kind of glitter, clearly we can't have that so I had to buy it.
On it's own the green base was very sheer, I tried out a couple of coats on it's own and wasn't loving how it looked so I decided it would be best to layer. I went with a darker green, OPI Don't Mess With OPI, I wanted something that was darker than the base of Wicked so that the shimmer would pop! The glitter was easy to get out of the bottle, however the big circles didn't want to stay where the brush put it so placing them was necessary. It was a little bit of extra work, but well worth it! I wore this on Saturday and while I was paying at Target the cashier actually grabbed my hand to get a look at this, I think her mind was as blown as mine over the circle glitter haha!

Since you can't see the green base of the polish in any of the above photos here is a bottle shot I posted a few days ago on
instagram! Steve the photobomber even makes an appearance!

I like it. It's different than the most of other indie polishes on the market. And it is very bold. Most striking.
ReplyDeleteWow! That polish is amazing! :D
ReplyDeletethis surely was inspired by the musical...green and pink!
ReplyDeleteI have to say I like this polish more in the bottle... I think the green shimmer robs those big black circle glitter pieces of their magic on the nail. I would love to see this over gray polish!
ReplyDeleteWhoa, totally awesome!

ReplyDeleteSTUNNING! Isn't it so fabulous in person? I simply CANNOT WAIT to wear mine. My heart pretty much stopped when I saw it on Facebook and I sent an email minutes later. I'm so pleased that Wicked is my first Whimsical polish :)
ReplyDeleteI like! XoXo
ReplyDeleteThat circle glitter is gorgeous- so unique. And what is it about cat photo bombs that never cease to be funny?
ReplyDeleteI love this so hard!! Seriously, I don't even have the words. I must have eet!!
ReplyDeleteI'm curious about what you've got on your nails in the last pic...looks like...blood splatters?
ReplyDeleteHow was your experience ordering from Whimsical ideas? The photos on her facebook page look awesome but I'm a bit dismayed that there's no information on things like shipping charges, turnaround time, polishes available, etc...
ReplyDeleteJust got my Wicked in the mail I CANNOT WAIT to try it on! eeeek! :D oh, and kitty photobombing rocks! GO STEVE! lmao!
ReplyDeleteI've always had a quick turn around time, less than a week between emailing and getting my invoice. Shipped within a couple days after paying. I know it can depend though based on how high the demand is. I've never had anything be unavailable when ordering. I'm not sure how shipping varies depending on the amount of polishes you order, but I can tell you that when I bought Wicked I bought 3 other polishes and the shipping was $6 for a small flat rate priority box. Hope that helps :)
ReplyDeleteI did blood splatter nails last week for the premier of Dexter! Here's a link to a photo I posted of them on instagram! http://instagram.com/p/QNsRASC-gx/
ReplyDeleteHi! Great post! Do you know if Pam delivers to the UK? x
ReplyDeleteWow this is a really unique glitter!
ReplyDeleteYou would need to check with her, I'm not sure if she ships internationally or not...sorry!
ReplyDeleteThat's ok! Thanks!
DeleteThat's ok, thanks!
DeleteThanks Jen, that does help! It's good to hear about your experience ordering from them. I'm on a bit of a buying hiatus until payday, but maybe after that I'll send her an email :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful and unique polish!
ReplyDeleteI like !! Lindo lindo !! :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the giant dot glitters in this polish!
ReplyDeleteI also love the gigantic circle glitter in this polish. I would be willing to work to place it.
ReplyDeleteI can say that I have ordered twice before from Pam and both times I received my order within a week. For instance- I placed my order on Monday night(10/8) and my polished arrived today (10/11). I love ordering from Pam and I adore her polishes. Hope that helps... :)
ReplyDeleteHi Tiffany, this does help, thank you! Sorry I didn't see this earlier :/
