Happy Thanksgiving! Hope all of my fellow US lovies are having a good turkey day so far! Today I have a quick comparison for you! It's China Glaze Water You Waiting For vs Nicole by OPI Kendall On The Katwalk. This was requested by quite a few people. I can't believe I didn't think of this when I was swatching the Cirque du Soleil Collection!
These 2 polishes are not 100% dupes but they are very very close. The only really slight difference is that the Nicole by OPI has purple glitter that the China Glaze is missing. I couldn't tell the difference between these 2 in person when they were on the nail. In photos you can see the difference better, especially in the shade, because macro is awesome like that. You definitely do not need both of these, in my opinion. Formula wise I liked them both equally, they both go on easily and have nice opacity. I used 2 coats for each polish.

The CG looks like it has more depth, so that is the clear winner!

ReplyDeleteChina Glaze polishes are my favorite. I like them better than the more expensive brands.

ReplyDeleteI think the nicole by opi one is more pretty
ReplyDeleteI agree. I love that green. I love how the CG glittered are bigger though.
DeleteNice comp! Looks like NOPI has a lime-y green and adeeper purple, ChG has all blue greens and more of a softer purple.
ReplyDeleteI love NOPI b/c it is a great combo. I feel ChG is muddier, though

I'm glad you did this! I have the NOPI. You say the only difference is the purple glitter in the NOPI, but what is the large hex glitter I'm seeing in the ChG? Is it blue? I feel like I don't see that in the NOPI.
ReplyDeletecg seems to have bigger glitter and just looks soo pretty
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you did this, I have the NOPI so happy not to get the CG
ReplyDeleteBoth are pretty but my favorite is China Glaze, looks like a bunch of shiny diamonds.
