Happy weekend! Anyone have big plans? I sure do, I'm going to see No Doubt tonight! If you know me in real life you'd know that No Doubt is pretty much my favorite thing ever. I've seen them live probably 30 times by now, I've lost count after all these years. I even have 2 No Doubt tattoos...I think I've proved my fangirl-ness is in full effect over here, right? haha!
I have a brand new collection from Cirque to share with you today. If you've never heard of Cirque you are in for a treat! The collection I have for you is the second release from Cirque, it's called the Objet d'Art Collection. Cirque's website says that the polishes in the Objet d'Art Collection are inspired by works of art such as, Hirst's "For the Love of God" and McQueen's "Savage Beauty" exhibition. When you go to the
Cirque website there are gorgeous photos for a few of the shades showing their inspiration! There is truly something for everyone in this collection, it includes 11 shades in a variety of colors and finishes. I hope you all love it as much as I do!

Au is a 23K gold leaf top coat. I know we've seen a lot of these lately but guys, this one is great! By far it was the easiest of what I currently own to apply. The flakes were dense and easy to get out of the bottle and onto the nail. With the other gold flake top coats I have I had to apply 1 coat then go back and dab on more flakes where it was sparse but that was not needed with Au! I used 1 coat over Cirque Curiosity for the photos below.

Book of Shadows is a silvery lavender foil. If you like foil finishes but don't want a stark silver this is something you will love. The formula was really nice, I used 3 thin coats for full opacity. There were no issues with this showing brush strokes!

Cape Liz is a light blue/grey with a gorgeous blue/purple shimmer. The shimmer wasn't overly hidden, I could see it indoors under normal lighting. Out in the sun this was a stunner when the sun would it the nail as I was moving my hand. The formula was great, much more opaque than I expected it to be. I used 2 coats for the photos below. I did find that it dried a little dull, top coat brought out it's full beauty!

Curiosity is a bright saturated red with golden flecks and gold shimmer. This reminds me a little bit of one of my favorite reds, OPI Red Dazzle (not a dupe but the same kind of feeling). The formula was great, it flowed so nicely onto nail! I used 2 coats for the photos below. In real life the gold shimmer was much more visible, it's just hard to capture on camera because the red is so saturated.

Cypress is a copper linear holo. If you've ever wanted a holographic penny colored polish this is for you. This was fantastic, easily one of my favorites from the collection. The formula was great, it was easy to apply and flowed nicely. It was a little sheer at first but it built easily, I used 3 coats for the photos below. This was much more holo in person!
How gorgeous is the color of this in the shade?!? I die.

Galinda is a glitter bomb full of various sizes of white and iridescent glitter. I'm a big fan of white glitters and this is an easy new favorite for me. The formula was great, a little thick but very easy to apply. The glitter payoff was pretty much incredible, I used 1 coat for swatches below! The first 2 photos are Galinda over Cirque Lapis and the second 2 are Galinda over A England Ophelia.

Hellebore is a gorgeous mix of light green, pink and fuchsia glitter. I'm a big green fan so this is a very welcome addition to my collection, I can easily say I have nothing quite like this. The little bits of pink and fuchsia add a beautiful pop in this polish. If you love green polish like I do this is a winner you will want to add to your collection. The formula was great, it wasn't thick and it applied very easily. You could definitely layer this if you wanted to, I used 3 coats of Hellebore on it's own for the photos below.

Lapis is a sapphire blue glitter. There are little bits of holo glitter in here that are absolutely gorgeous out in the sun! The formula was great, it wasn't thick and it flowed nicely onto the nail. This is another that works well on it's own or for layering. I used 3 coats of Lapis on it's own for the photos below. This did dry with a bit of texture and required a couple coats of top coat to be smooth.

Lonesome George is green holo! This one was a favorite as soon as I opened the package of these polishes. Green and holo...does it get much better? The formula was great, very easy to apply! I used 2 coats for the photos below!

Planet Caravan is a blackened purple shimmer. This has a great golden duochrome to it! It ended up being not as duochrome on the nail as I thought it would be based on how it looked in the bottle but it's a gorgeous shade either way. The formula was awesome, it was nearly a 1 coater! I ended up doing a very very thin second coat but it was hardly needed.

XX is a mix of over 20 types of holographic particles according to Cirque's website. This is insane, it has so many different types of glitter in there, everything from holographic shimmer to holographic diamond shaped glitter. Overall it has a very pastel look to it over both light and dark base colors. If you like glitter you need this, period. The formula was all kinds of great, I used 1 coat over Cape Liz for the photos below!

Overall, I love this collection. There really is something for everyone here, I have to say I pretty much love everything about not only this brand but the collection. The packaging, inspiration, names etc... it's all fantastic. My personal favorites from the collection are XX, Hellebore, Cypress, Lonesome George and Au.
Cirque polishes are available at
cirquecolors.com, all of the polishes in this collection are $13 per bottle with the exception of Au which is $28 and Cypress & Lonesome George which are $15.

ReplyDeleteNice swatches! I ordered 5 from this collections and haven't been able to stop looking at them since they arrived. One thing, though, Cypress and Lonesome George (like Cirque's other holos Nearly Nude and Fascination Street) are $15, instead of the regular $13
