Nicole by OPI CVS Exclusives!

Hi guys! Can you believe next week at this time it will be Thanksgiving? I looked at a calendar a few minutes ago and had a mild OMG moment about it. Mostly because I haven't planned any shopping yet for Black Friday, that is so unlike me...usually I have a whole plan of action by now lol! I need to get working on that.

Today I have 7 new Nicole by OPI polishes to share with you, all 7 of these new polishes are exclusive to CVS and launching this month! These new shades are a mix of cremes and shimmers in some nice basic colors! Check out the swatches after the jump!

A Pinker Shade of Pale is a very light pale pink shimmer. The shimmer in this leans towards frosty and does show brush strokes. I'm not too crazy about this out in the sun but in lower lighting I kind of like it, the base color is something I feel like I don't have. The formula was a little thick but this was nice and opaque, much more opaque than I expected! I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Shade

Always A Silver Lining is a silver shimmer with little flecks of gold in it. This also leans a little frosty but you could only really see brush strokes out in brighter lighting. In the shade the frostyness faded away, I loved this in lower lighting. The little flecks of golden shimmer made it a little special! The formula was good but a little sheer, I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Don't Overpink It is a rosy medium pink creme. This is a good basic, if you don't have a pink shade like it in your collection already this might be a nice addition. It looked a little squishy when it dried which is something I always like! The formula was good but a little sheer, I used 3 coats for full opacity.

Shade
Feeling Grapeful is a red toned medium purple creme. This is another great basic if you don't already own something similar. It has a little bit of a dustyness to it which is really nice! The formula was great, I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Shade

I Sea You And Raise You is a bright light blue creme. This is my favorite of the 7 polishes in this post, I feel like I'll be grabbing for this a lot this winter to layer over! The formula was great, I used 2 coats for full opacity.

Shade

Marooned In Paradise is a gorgeous maroon/burgundy with a very hidden shimmer. I wish the shimmer in this was a little bit less hidden, when it caught the sun it was gorgeous but you lost that in lower lighting. The formula was good, I used 2 coats for the photos below but I think 3 might be better since there was a little bit of patchness that I noticed after taking photos.

Shade

Personally Speaking... is a shimmery rosy pink. This is a lot like A Pinker Shade Of Pale, just a few shades darker. This also leans a little frosty, it's probably not a color I'd ever pick up in the store but if you like shades like this it's a nice one. The formula was a little thick but very opaque, I used 2 coats for the photos below.

  1. The only I really like is I Sea You And Raise You which is my favorite shade of blue. I think I'll pass on the others.

  2. Marooned... HAH! Sorry. That made me chuckle for some reason. Lovely swatches, but what's with the frosts? I like a good opaque frost for stamping, but brush strokes really bother me (and most people).

I was all ready to hrmmphh over another "exclusive" collection I'll never get in New Zealand, but I only really like the blue, which isn't overly unique. So I feel ok. I'll just go back to my corner and cry over Butter London Two Fingered Salute :(

  3. I Sea You and Raise You is niiice! I love the color! I normally don't care for pinks (normally find them too plain) but Don't Over Pink It is pretty. Reminds me of the squishy/sorbet look of the OPI texas collection

  4. Feeling Grapefruit is my favorite! I'm not a huge fan of frosts so I would skip those, but I don't have a dupe for Feeling Grapefruit in my collection so I might have to buy that one!

  5. I don't think I am particularly in love with any of the polishes in this collection. If I were to run out and get any at the moment, though, I'd say it would be Marooned In Paradise...and maybe it is just the fall weather making me feel that way about the color. :-)

  6. Don't Overpink is a very nice pink, I don't think I have anything like it! all my pinks are hotpinks or bubble gumm-ish.

  7. I definitely like the cremes. I don't really like frosty-ish polish. My favorite is the purple creme.

  8. I love all of the cremes! Not a huge fan of the frosty pink shades, though.

I love the creme colors, have you seen the "Love Your Life", it has pink hearts and glitter...but I have soooo much trouble trying to get the hearts out the bottle =/

  10. I've never tried that polish, sorry

  11. Some of those pinks look like the Nicole I have in "Miss Independent", however I like Miss Independent a little more because of its metallic sheen. Great colors.

  12. Didn't you just buy that blue shade in your Essie winter '12 collection?

  13. The blue in Essie's collection looks nothing like the blue in this collection.

  14. Could you do a comparison of I Sea You and Raise You and OPI No Room For The Blues?
