Saturday Spam: OPI, Seche & Whimsical Ideas by Pam

Hi guys! Happy weekend! Anyone doing anything fun and exciting this weekend? I'm going to enjoy the sunshine, it's supposed to be hot this weekend. I'm also pretty excited that we get to turn the clocks back tonight! I love when we get to Fall back, mostly because I love that extra hour of sleep. The only thing that sucks is that now it will be dark when I leave work during the week...I hate that, it always feels like I get robbed of my day (makes no sense, I know).

Today I have a bit of spam for you, mostly OPI but I also have a couple more Seche polishes and a gorgeous Whimsical Ideas by Pam polish to share! Hope you guys enjoy!

To see all the swatches click the read more button below.

OPI Baby It's "Coal" Outside! is a smokey black with silver shimmer. This was one of the very first OPI's I remember buying around the time I finally stopped biting my nails. This one is special to me because of that! The formula is nice, a 2 coater!

OPI Brisbane Bronze is a copper shimmer. This was another one of my early OPI purchases, it was back when I was looking for the perfect penny colored polish. This didn't end up being it but I still like the color. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

OPI Decades of Shades is a red toned brown creme. Nothing ground breaking but I do like the color, I love a good brown polish! The formula was wonderful, I used 2 coats.

OPI Eiffel For This Color is a dark vampy purple shimmer. Man, I LOVE this polish. I love all the OPI's that are vampy and shimmery like this, I wish they would make more! I used 2 coats for the photos below.

OPI Espresso Your Style! is a brown shimmer. This leans a little bit purple depending on your skintone and the lighting, this is another one of my all time favorites from OPI. I love the shimmer in this polish, I always forget how great it is until I randomly decide to wear it and fall in love again. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

OPI Light My Sapphire is a dark grey blue with silver shimmer. I don't really care for this polish, it's a bit too frosty for me out in the sun...I do quite like it in the shade and low lighting though! I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Shade

OPI Lincoln Park After Dark is a dark nearly black purple creme. This is such a classic OPI, one that I think most folks probably own! I used 2 coats for the photos below.

OPI Lincoln Park After Dark Matte is a dark matte purple. As you can see it's a bit lighter than the creme version of the polish...I much prefer the matte version (with top coat). I want so badly to like OPI's matte's but they just don't do much for me since they look so flat on the nail, like I said above I do like this but not in it's matte form haha. The formula was pretty great...you do have to be careful but it's awesome if you are patient, a 1 coater for me!

P.S. I would recommend using a ridge filling basecoat with this if you have it, I didn't...you can tell lol

OPI "Sheer" Your Toys is a light shimmery grey.  This is one of my favorite OPI's, it's pretty unique in my collection. It has little flecks of copper running through it that are so beautiful! The formula is good, a bit sheer but what else would you expect given the name lol! I used 3 coats for the photos below.

OPI Visions of Sugarplum is a dark purple shimmer with a slight pink duochrome. I found this not too long ago at CVS of all places. It was on my wish list for ages so I was surprised to come across it there! I used 2 coats for the photos below

Seche Enamored is a rosy pink with a very strong golden shimmer. I was so impressed by the last Seche polishes I tried that I went out and picked up more of the shimmers! This is looking very frosty in the photos but in real life it wasn't at all...not sure why my camera hated it so much :( The formula was pretty great, a 1 coater!

Seche Magnifique is a bright pink with blue/purple duochrome shimmer. *drool* this is my favorite of the Seche polishes I have...the color is fab! The formula again was great, I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Shade

Seche Smokey is a charcoal grey with silvery shimmer. Not the most unique color but I mostly bought it because I've liked the formula of the other Seche polishes. This was was good but not omg amazing like some of the others. If you are careful it could be a 1 coater but I had a fair amount of balding so I needed 2 coats to even it out.

Whimsical Ideas by Pam Magical Mystery Tour is various sizes of bright blue glitter in a shimmery purple base. Love this, I die for that bright blue glitter! The formula was great, it wasn't thick and it flowed nicely onto the nail. I used 1 coat over Nicole by OPI Here We Kome A-Karoling for the photos below. Both nail photos are in the shade, the bottle shot is in the sun.

Below is Magical Mystery Tour in the bottle so you can see the purple base of the polish!

OPI is available a bunch of places like Ulta, JC Penney, Beauty Brands etc... several of the polishes in this post are old and hard to find (sorry!).

Seche is supposedly also found at Ulta but I gotta tell you guys I went looking for them there and didn't find it at any of the stores where I live. I found mine at a random beauty supply near where I live.

Whimsical Ideas by Pam can be found over on Facebook here

Nice post! I see that 8ty8 has the Seche colors online the only place I have seen them. The Ulta is so far away from me, And since there is a chance they don't have them yet.I would have NEVER known you were a nail-biter! Keep up the awesome work!!!!

  5. I just picked up Light My Sapphire on a whim because it was $3 at Ricky's. Now that I see it, I love it!! I think it looks hot on you, but if you hate the frosty-streaky-stripey look try sponging on the second coat with a shadow applicator. That's how I get CG Hook and Line to look smooth and shiny.

  8. Totally off subject I know, but just wanted to ask if fans are allowed to pin your tutorials to pinterest. I created a board "Nail Tutorials" for my own personal use/reference bc I am still kinda a newbie & would like to pin some of your tutorials, if it is okay with you of course. If not, I completely understand with all the blogger pic thieving that goes on lol. :)

Seche Magnifiqe really is gorgeous, but I wonder, is it a dupe for China Glaze Reggae to Riches (which is my favorite polish of all time, no wonder I love Magnifique!)

  20. Aw, I love LPAD, I remember when I got my nails done many moons ago and it was a new shade I fell in love but never knew its name. Can you believe I still don't own it?! I can never find it in my stores. I had no idea there was a matte version, how fun! :)
