Hi guys! Today I have another holiday collection to share with you, I thought I'd do a holiday post because today is the holiday luncheon where I work. I'm not a huge fan of going to work things like this but hopefully it'll be a good time...we do a gift exchange and that is always entertaining. Every year the gift that people think is some kind alcohol gets stolen about a bazillion times before we get through everyone. I'm always tempted to somehow wrap my gift to be heavy and shaped like a 6 pack of beer and then have it really be something awful...like a box of bacon shaped Christmas ornaments. I'm too lazy to make it happen though...next year I should do it. It would probably be worth the effort just to see the look on someones face when they open it haha!
Anyway, today I have LCN's Mystique Burlesque Collection for Holiday 2012 to share with you! This collection is 4 really gorgeous jewel toned shimmers. These were gorgeous in the bottle but they pretty much blew me away when I started putting them on! Check out more photos and reviews of each shade after the jump.
Blue Sapphire is a metallic blue shimmer. The shade of blue is gorgeous and the formula was nearly flawless. It was a tiny bit thick but in a good way, it was also super opaque...nearly a 1 coater! I used 2 coats for the photos below.
Green Emerald is a metallic green shimmer. I like this green because it was dark but still bright at the same time if that makes any sense. The formula of this one was also great, I used 2 coats for the photos below.
Rubin Red is a gorgeous red shimmer. I feel like photos don't do this much justice because red shimmers are always a pain to capture. The formula of this was seriously flawless, it was like the perfect consistency and it was opaque in 1 coat! Ive used this quite a few times since I've gotten it, it's easily my new favorite holiday red!
Violet Amethyst is a metallic purple shimmer. My camera was making this a little bit more dull than it looked in real life, it's such a gorgeous shade! The formula again, was fantastic...another that was nearly a 1 coater! I used 2 coats for the photos below.
Overall I really like this collection, I don't think it's some OMG groundbreaking kind of colors but the formula on all 4 was great. I've already been reaching for these a lot for layering and nail art and I don't see that changing for a while!
LCN can be purchased on their official website. The cube with all 4 shades from this collection retails for $29.90 or you can buy the shades on their own for $7.50 each.

I love the Blue Sapphire polish.
ReplyDeleteThe whole collection looks so pretty! It's a shame that they're not readily available in the UK because I would be on those like a rash!
ReplyDeleteThat actually happened at my office party - someone wrapped up one of those tall, heavy Virgin Mary candles with $20 of scratch tickets. The recipient was ridiculously angry about it. But now you have an idea for next year!
ReplyDeleteWow, I am in love with that blue!!
ReplyDeleteOh my, these are gorgeous! I love how rich they look! :)
