Dollish Polish Super Mario Bros Collection Swatches!

Hi guys! Today I have an awesome new collection from Dollish Polish to share with you guys! I've been eagerly awaiting these since Dolly put out It's A Me, Mario! It's the Super Mario Bros Collection woohoo!! As a child of the late 80's & 90's I pretty much grew up on Mario....I still have my old Nintendo where you have to blow on the games to make them work that I play Mario on when the mood strikes me haha!

When Dolly unveiled the macro shots of these a while back I seriously about died. She pretty much nailed them, the colors and mixes of each glitter are seriously perfection. As much as I loved her macros these are so much better in real life than I thought they would be (and I thought they would be amazing already!).

piCture pOlish Blog Fest 2012: Demeter & Attitude

Hi guys! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, I did! Has everyone been watching the Olympics? I'm more of a winter olympics fan myself but I really enjoy watching gymnastics, diving and swimming! Today I'm very excited to be taking part in piCture pOlish's Blog Fest for 2012. I remember seeing this on quite a few blogs last year and am so happy to be able to participate in it this year!

The 2 shades I have to show you are part of the Collaboration Collection which is being introduced today with the Blog Fest! If you haven't seen the rest of the Collaboration Collection shades you should have a looksie around the blogosphere today, all of the shades are gorgeous!

Before I show you swatches of each polish on it's own I wanted to show you how I wore them! I used both of my piCture pOlish shades (Demeter & Attitude) over white. I saw a great gradient dot manicure  over on Make Up Alley and had been wanting to give it a go myself. As far as nail art goes I'm good with things like dots, they are hard to mess up! I really love how this turned out, the little dots were so sparkly and the colors were beautiful together! I wore this manicure for nearly a week straight and it didn't chip at all, gotta love that! I got a lot of compliments on this manicure so it's probably something I will be doing again in the future!

I get a lot of questions about where to buy dotting tools when I post a manicure like this. You can use pretty much anything with a round end to get a look like this, like bobby pins or toothpicks! I use a set of 5 dotting tools, I got mine from a local beauty supply but you can find them for a couple bucks on ebay also!

China Glaze New Bohemian Collection Swatches!

TGIF! Today I have the New Bohemian Collection from China Glaze to share with you. When I first saw the promo images of this collection I was all be still my duochrome loving heart...since then I've been pretty much stalking my local beauty supply waiting for them to get them in. I finally got my paws on these a few days ago and I'm so excited to share them with you!

The New Bohemian Collection is 6 beautiful duochrome polishes, China Glaze is calling them "luster chromes". I enjoy that name, it sounds very fancy haha! To see swatches & reviews of each shade along with a couple comparisons click the read more button after the photo below!

Wet 'n Wild Fergie Collection: Tonight's Gonna Be A Good Night

Hi guys! Today I have a polish from the Wet 'n Wild Fergie Collection for you! I finally spotted the display of these a couple weeks ago at Walgreens. I was pretty much meh about all of them until I spotted this one.  Tonight's Gonna Be A Good Night is small black glitter mixed with gold hex glitter in a clear base. Black glitter is my weakness, I had to buy it!

The formula was easy to work with but guys. can we just talk for a second about the horrendous brush these polishes have? I love a nice wide brush like the ones Sally Hansen uses in their Complete Salon Manicure polishes but the brush in this polish is bigger than that brush...it's felt like I was trying to polish my nails with one of those flat foundation brushes. It's been a loooong time since I've bought a new Wet 'n Wild polish so I'm not sure if this is now the standard brush in all their polishes but I sure hope not...it was awful.

I used 1 coat of Tonight's Gonna Be A Good Night over Zoya Rekha for the photos below.

The Fergie Collection from Wet 'n Wild is out now, I've only seen the display at Walgreens!

Degen's July BarkBox

Hi guys! Today I have a non-polish post for you...yay! It's Degen's July BarkBox, he got it in the mail on Friday and he's been loving it! For those of you who haven't heard of BarkBox before it's basically a subscription service (like Birchbox, MyGlam etc...) but for dogs! It ranges from $17-$25 a month depending on the plan you choose, if you want to get it for your dog you can sign up on BarkBox.com! I believe this is Degen's 4th box and we're still loving them...it's kind of funny that out of all the subscription services I've tried this is the only one I've been 100% happy with and it's not even one I use for myself haha!

Below is what the box looked like when I opened it up, click the read more button after the picture to see photos of everything in the box!

Revlon Moon Candy Collection Swatches

Good morning! Today I have 4 Revlon polishes to share with you guys! Recently, Revlon came out with the Moon Candy Collection which consists of 8 creme & glitter duo's. These have been getting little bit of buzz because the glitter part was said to be flakies. In reality, the "flakies" are more like iridescent shards of glitter...more along the lines of OPI I Lily Love You or China Glaze Luxe & Lush instead of Essie Shine of The Times which is what I consider a real flakie to be. I ended up picking up 4 of the 8 duos thanks to an awesome sale at Rite Aid and some Up Rewards burning a hole in my wallet. Check out my swatches after the jump!

China Glaze Magnetix II Collection Swatches!

Hi guys! Hope you all had a good weekend! Today I have the China Glaze Magnetix II Collection to share with you! I was a bit hesitant about buying these after the first Magnetix collection was (in my opinion) a big fat fail. What got me with these were the colors and the magnet, I love the different designs on it. To find out if this round of magnetic polishes from China Glaze is any better click the read more button below!

BeadsInk Nail Polish Jewelry

Happy weekend! Today I have some jewelry from BeadsInk to share with you guys! BeadsInk makes jewelry with nail polish! I have quite a few pieces of jewelry like this but these are my first pieces from BeadsInk! I really love what she is doing because she is using a ton of indie polishes in her jewelry, with as difficult as some of those polishes are to get it's nice to be able to buy them in a way that allows you to wear them in a necklace or earrings etc...

I have 3 pieces to show you today, below is the first one...a necklace made with Layla Flash Black. I think my eyeballs popped out of my head when I walked outside with this. It's ahhhhhmazing, all the holo goodness that I love so much about the polish on the nail is even more incredible as a necklace! I wore this out the other day and got stopped by a complete stranger who was like WHAT IS THAT?!?

Zoya Fall 2012 Diva Collection Swatches

Hi guys! Happy Friday, this week felt so long...I'm happy it's over! Anyone have fun plans this weekend, I was supposed to be going to Cosmoprof North America but my plans have changed :( I was thinking about going up to Monterey Bay to make up for it but I haven't decided if I want to do that 6 hours drive or not...I guess I should probably figure that out soon lol!

Today I have the final part of Zoya's Fall 2012 collections, the Diva Collection! I saved this part for last because it's awesome! The Diva Collection brings us 6 gorgeous shimmery polishes. I really love the colors, 2 of these are new members of my favorite Zoya's ever list!

Zoya Fall 2012 Designer Collection Swatches!

Morning! Today I have the second of three Zoya collections for Fall 2012 to show you! This is the Designer Collection which consist of 6 creme finish polishes. The theme of all 3 of Zoya's Fall offerings are New York Fashion Week, the colors are inspired by backstage beauties, talented designers, runways and VIP fashion events. For Fashion Week earlier this year Zoya put out a few limited edition custom color sets which I unfortunately missed out on at the time. I was over the moon when I saw that Zoya was bringing some of the shades from the sets into this collection!

Nails Inc Sprinkles Collection Swatches!

Hi guys! Today I am super excited to share these 4 polishes with you, it's the Nails Inc Sprinkles Collection! A little while back I saw a swatch of Sweets Way and fell in love. I somehow talked myself into only getting 1 of the 4 polishes so I waited until they were actually in store at Sephora and not just online so I could decide which to get. When my local store got them in last week I went in and bought them all, self control be dammed (I mean really, you guys know me who was I kidding about only getting 1 of them LOL). The Sprinkles Collection is 4 milky glitters, they are perfection and I'm glad I justified needing all 4 to myself. I have to tell you guys, I think Nails Inc might be my favorite new to me brand of 2012. They keep churning out awesome polishes, between these and Baker Street I am kind of blown away by how much I am loving Nails Inc. I'm so glad they finally came over the US!

This part is called the Gloss Collection and it consists of 3 jelly formula polishes! When I got the Zoya Fall Collections in the mail I was most excited about these 3 polishes...I'm a big fan of jelly polishes, I love that Zoya is doing them!

Saturday Spam: Orly

Happy Saturday! Anyone have fun plans this weekend? Tonight I'm going to the wiener dog nationals...aka dachshund races. It's pretty much the most adorable thing ever, I suggest looking up some videos on youtube if you've never seen wiener dog races before (warning...this will probably lead to hours spent on youtube watching cute animal videos). I've always thought about putting Degen in those races but knowing him he'd be that one dog that would turn around and run back to the start...or he'd be that dog that tries to play with the dog running next to him half way though the race.

Today I have Orly spam for you! These are the only Orly's I have that I have never posted swatches of before. It's fun getting my entire collection from a whole brand swatched and posted...I feel like I'm accomplishing something haha! I think I'll probably do Essie spam next for those of you wondering...but it's probably going to be a while (I'm a little backlogged right now!)

Butter London British Racing Green

Hi guys! Happy Friday! Today I have a pretty Butter London polish to show you called British Racing Green. It's a beautiful dark green with a pretty hidden shimmer.  The shimmer is pretty much only visible in direct sunlight, but that doesn't bother me! I actually almost got my Mini in a shade very close to this (the name of the Mini color is even British Racing Green!)! The formula was really nice on this polish, I used 2 coats for the photos below. I did however have a little bit of staining so it's one you will probably want to use a couple coats of base coat with.

Butter London retails for $14 and is available a ton of places including ButterLondon.com and Ulta (plus a ton of other stores that I can't remember at the moment!)

Pomegranate Nail Lacquer Swatches!

Good morning guys! I almost said happy Wednesday but then I realized it was Thursday...I love when it's a day ahead of what I think it is! Today I have a new to me brand to share with you guys called Pomegranate Nail Lacquer. If you saw yesterday's Black Cat Lacquer Swatches you got a little preview of these! Pomegranate Nail Lacquer is 3 free and cruelty free, gotta love that! They make a ton of gorgeous colors and I'm really excited to share these 3 with you, I hope you like them as much as I do!

Black Cat Lacquer Swatches

Hi guys! Today I have some more indie swatches for you! The five polishes I have to show you today are from Black Cat Lacquer. Sabrina from Black Cat Lacquer makes really gorgeous glitters, I love all of the combinations she puts together. I hope you guys love them also!

Edited to Add: Please read the comments of this post. While I do love these glitters there is drama surrounding customer service and product issues. I want you guys to be fully informed before spending your money.

OPI Outrageous Neons Mini Set Swatches!

Hi guys! Today I have swatches of the OPI Outrageous Neons Mini Set to show you! The mini set comes with 4 mini sized polishes, a mini white base polish and a mini top coat. I'm usually not a fan of the OPI mini's, I find that they are very hard to use because the brush is so tiny...but I couldn't resist this set!

Wet 'n WIld Magnetic: Drawn Together By Force

Hi guys! Hope you all had a good weekend, mine was nice and relaxing. I had a 3 day weekend and it's the first time in a long time where I actually felt like I actually got to decompress from work stress. I wish I had 3 days off every week haha!

Today I have a Wet 'n Wild Magnetic polish called Drawn Together By Force to show you! I ran into Rite Aid yesterday and spotted a very picked over display of these. They were pretty cheap (for a magnetic polish) so I decided to pick one up. Drawn Together By Force is a really gorgeous shimmery green, I have a lot of magnetic polish but nothing quite like this green. The formula of the polish was really nice, I used 2 coats for the photos below. It was nice and opaque without being thick and gloopy like some magnetic polishes can be. The magnet was nice and strong but I did have some issues using it. It doesn't have a lip to rest on your cuticle like most other brands so I kept hitting the magnet on the wet polish. Overall, I am a fan...if I can find another display that isn't so naked I might pick up another!

Below is what the magnet looks like, it's in the cap of the bottle. As far as I could tell from what was left there was only this one magnet pattern. I'm not sure if there were others since there were only a few polishes left when I found them.

I picked this Wet & Wild up at Rite Aid where it was retailing for $4.99. I'm not sure if they have been spotted at any other drugstore yet!

Sally Hansen Parrot

Hi guys, happy Friday! Hope you all had a good 4th of July on Wednesday! Sorry for the lack of post yesterday, the internet was down at my house so I couldn't do one :( But it's back now, yay! Fun fact: today is my 8 year anniversary at work. It pains me that I am old enough to have worked at one place for that amount of time lol!

Today I have a random polish to show you from Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure line called Parrot. I picked this up a while back on clearance at Ulta but I'm pretty sure it was originally one of the Tracy Reese colors for Spring 2012. I was searching my stash the other day because I couldn't decide what to put on and this caught my eye. It's such a beautiful shade, kind of a muted grassy green...hard to describe but I think the picture shows it better than I could describe anyway haha! The formula was really nice, I used 2 coats for the photo below!

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes are available in all the major drugstores along with Target, Walmart and Ulta. I'm not sure about the availability of this particular shade since I found it a while back on clearance :(

Orly Fall 2012 Electronica Collection Swatches!

Hi guys! Happy 4th of July to everyone in the US! Is anyone doing anything fun to celebrate? I'll probably just watch fireworks on TV. I'm actually not a huge fan of the 4th of July festivities, maybe I'm weird...fireworks stress me out. I'm always afraid some idiot in my neighborhood is going to set off the illegal kind and they are going to land on my roof and my house is going to go up in flames or something ridiculous like that ha!

Today I have Orly's Fall 2012 Electronica Collection to show you guys. I haven't heard too much about this so I was surprised when I saw it out at my supply store last week. It's kind of a random collection color wise, but there is a little something for everyone I suppose.

NCLA The Ray & The Ro nail wraps!

Hi guys! Today I have some NCLA nail wraps called The Ray & The Ro to share with you. I've wanted to try these out for a while and finally manage to get my paws on some in my Little Black Bag last month. Check out the website I linked if you don't know what Little Black Bag is, it would take forever to explain haha. The Ray & The Ro pattern is super colorful and I love all the zig zag lines! I'm going to put my actual review under the photos because it's a bit long!

Sun

Shade
I love the design and how these look on but...I don't love these :( I hate posting negative reviews but I had some issues with these. You get a lot of strips in the pack that these come in, 2 sheets of nail wraps with 22 wraps on each sheet. I found that the way these are on the sheets makes it really difficult to find the right size strip, I wasted 5 or 6 wraps just trying to find the correct sizes. I do like the variety of sizes so even though I wasted all of those I was able to find strips that fit for the most part. I had issues with the thumbs being too round at the cuticle end and not covering the whole nail but it's easy enough to use a wrap that is too big and just trim it to fit.

My main issue with these was the wear time. I did use top coat over the wraps per the instructions that came with them so I thought that would maybe make them last for a while. I put these on Sunday afternoon, by Sunday night 3 of the strips had already peeled off. As I type this post on Monday night another 2 are gone. Maybe the wraps I got weren't sticky enough...maybe I just applied them wrong? I have no idea but I'm not impressed with how quickly these came off.

Overall, I like the design but the wear and the difficulty with finding sizes was pretty disappointing. I will try these again if I happen to get them again in a Little Black Bag but it's not likely I would purchase these on their own.

NCLA nail wraps are available on shopncla.com for $16, they also have a list of retailers on their website. While I don't love these wraps I do love their polish, if you've never checked them out I recommend them!

Nails Inc. Cheyne Walk

Hi guys! Hope you had a good weekend, I did...kind of. I had fun at my concerts but on Friday night while on my way to see MxPx my tire pressure warning light came on and I didn't think much of it since my tire looked fine when I got back to my car after the show.  Then when I went out to my car on Saturday morning my tire was flat :(  I took it to get it fixed they said that something had punctured the tire and it was too close to the side to patch it...so I had to buy a new tire. Apparently the tires on Mini Coopers are some kind of weird small tire that no one carries (not even the dealer o.O). I literally had to call 15 places yesterday before I found someone who had the tire in stock at another location and was willing to go get it and put it on my car. What a nightmare, if you have a Mini Cooper like me I hope you never need tires lol! Gotta love having to replace a tire on a car so new it doesn't have permanent license plates yet...that's just my luck!

Anyway, today I have another Nails Inc polish to show you! This one is called Cheyne Walk, it's part of Nails Inc. Mirror Metallics collection that just launched at Sephora here in the US. Cheyne Walk is a metallic purple. This looks like it should have a duochrome but I couldn't coax it out, maybe layering it over something other than black (or wearing it on it's own) would bring it out more...it's something on my list to try! For the photos below I layered 1 coat of Cheyne Walk over Nails Inc. Black Taxi. I tried it out on a nail wheel first and Cheyne Walk seemed a little sheer on it's own!

Sun

Shade

The Mirror Metallics from Nails Inc are available now on Sephora.com, it looks like only 2 are in stock as I type this. I also spotted them in stores when I was at Sephora over the weekend. Each polish retails for $9.50!
