FingerPaints Spring 2013 Wild About Spring Collection Swatches

Happy Friday! Anyone doing anything fun this weekend? I'm going to try to sleep off my stomach flu, I'm finally starting to feel a bit better so with enough rest I think I can finally get rid of it! Today I have my picks from the FingerPaints Wild About Spring Collection to share with you guys! I haven't paid much attention to the last few FingerPaints collections but I wandered into Sally Beauty last week and  these caught my eye. The entire collection consists of 3 shredded glitters and 3 shimmers. I ended up getting all 3 glitters and only 1 of the shimmers. The 2 polishes I didn't pick up were a pink shimmer and a blue shimmery frost.

Check out swatches & reviews for each shade by clicking the read more button below.

For all 3 glitters I found the formula to be a little thick but not too difficult to work with. It was easiest to dab them on instead of applying them like a regular polish. I did have to be a little careful with dabbing it on because the shards of glitter kept wanting to stick up off the nail.

Are You Hoppy is lavender shredded glitter in a clear base. I really loved this one over Itsy Bitsy Spider but I couldn't get it to photograph :(( I layered Are You Hoppy over Topshop Awol for the photos below.

Fishin' For Fun is fuschia and light pink shredded glitter in a clear base. This is my favorite of the glitters, it's the only one with 2 shades of glitter.  I layered Fishin' For Fun over Inglot 646 for the photos below.

Itsy Bitsy Spider is a dusty light purple with a very strong blue shimmer. This is definitely my favorite of the entire collection and probably my favorite polish FingerPaints has done since their flakies last year. In the shade it had a nice duochrome to it! The formula was good, a little sheer but the consistency of the polish was good. I used 3 coats for full opacity.

Owlin' At The Moon is green shredded glitter in a clear base. I expected it to be my favorite since it's green but meh...I feel like it looks silver over most of the layering combos I tried. I do like it, just not as much as I thought I would. I layered Owlin' At The Moon over Inglot 664 for the photos below.

FingerPaints is available only at Sally Beauty Supply, each polish retails for $5.29 (or $4.49 if you are a Sally Beauty Club Member). Looks like you can also buy them on their website here!

Very cute, I love the glitters! People should visit Sally's this weekend, the 15-17, because they are having a 50% off all clearance items sale.

  16. How ironic that they name a glitter 'fishin' LOL. I LOVE Itsy Bitsy Spider!!! I wonder if there is a Milani dupe for it.
