Nails Inc Ice Cream & Sprinkles Collection

Hi guys!! Today I have a little mini set from Nails Inc called the Ice Cream & Sprinkles Collection to share with you. I saw this on the Sephora website a couple weeks back and convinced myself I didn't need it, then I went to order something else and needed a couple more dollars to get free shipping so of course I somehow justified needing this to put me over the limit. I think that's some true shopaholic justification right there, buying a $16.50 mini set instead of paying like $5 for shipping is totally normal...right?

The Ice Cream & Sprinkles Collection is 3 cute mini polishes, 2 are cremes and 1 like the glitters from the Sprinkles Collection Nails Inc released last year. Check out swatches & reviews of each polish by clicking the read more button below.

The bottle I am holding in all of the photos is just a random top coat I had on my desk. The Nails Inc mini bottles were just too hard to hold, sorry :(

Charing Crossroad is a light pastel pink creme. The formula was nice, it was a little streaky on the first coat but the second coat evened it out and made the polish completely opaque. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Upper Regent Street is a chocolatey brown creme. I usually like brown polish but I don't really care for this particular shade on it's own...it seems to make my fingers look read which is unusual for me with brown polish. The formula was pretty fantastic on this one, smooth and creamy...really nice to apply! I used 2 coats for the photos below. Please excuse the cloud reflections on my nails...the sun was playing hide and seek behind clouds while I was swatching these!

Ladbroke Square is purple, green & blue glitter in a milky minty green base. This is pretty much the only reason I wanted this set, I loved the original Sprinkles polishes from Nails Inc! I really love this color combo and I think it goes well as an accent nail with both the cremes in this collection, as you can see in the photos below. I didn't love the formula, it was thick and got a little lumpy as I went. I do think thinner will help in that department though for next time I wear this. This was crazy opaque though so I did like that part of the formula! I used 1 coat for the photos below!

Overall I like this trio, I think the colors all work nicely together and the glitter is a gorgeous color combo! This is my first time trying out and Nails Inc in the mini bottles and I have to say...not a fan. The bottles are tinnnnny and I found them hard to use because of how small the cap is.I do like this trio but I probably won't be going out of my way to buy any more of these mini sets from Nails Inc.

The Nails Inc Ice Cream & Sprinkles Collection is available now at Sephora online at Sephora.com, the mini set retails for $16.50!

  5. I always wondered what kind of thinner you use. I was thinking of picking up the seche vite restore. Any tips on thinner?

Ladbroke Square is perfect: love the colour, love the glitter! The other two polishes I do not care about much...too light and too dirty braun for my taste.

  13. Ladbroke Square is super-cute!

I've been looking for a good dark-chocolate brown for fair red-toned skin; do you have any suggestions? Upper Regent Street looks a bit milky/pale for my purposes.

  14. I have been sitting on a Sephora e-gift certificate since August (I know, I know!! What is wrong with me??) and I *almost* used it to buy this set. Now I'm glad I hesitated. Mostly the color I wanted was Ladbroke Square; didn't care much for the other two, and have other polishes in my stash that look like those other two shades.

  15. Ladbroke square is so cute! Wish it was sold individually. I just bought sweets way and put it on my toes this weekend after reading your review. I too struggle with mini bottles which kept me from buying the color cuties on Zoya.com today when I was picking up the remainder of the pixie dust collection. Love the ease of applying texture polishes versus cremes for myself as a novice.

Thanks for your post. The blue glittery one is cute but I can't see spending that much money on ordinary plain looking polishes (let alone the small bottles). But I will say the box has got me craving ice cream now! :)

  17. I just got the Nails Inc spring/summer mini set, and I TOTALLY get it about the teensy bottles... so short, with those cylindrical caps! I love the polishes enough to put up with it, though.

  18. Cute packaging! Too bad they aren't all sprinkles!

  19. How are the brushes?

  20. I saw this while I was at Sephora today, but barely gave it a second look. I'm not a huge fan of the colors, though the pink is nice.

  21. The actual brush is fine, pretty much the same as full size Nails Inc polishes. They are hard to use though because the cap is so tiny

  22. awesomeeee I saw it there today but was unsure if I should get it... luckly I got a coupon for 15% off with my purchase today, good until the end of the month. (Like i really need an excuse to go to Sally's) LOL

Upper Regent Street looked a bit.. meh.. It felt like they mixed grey into the brown to make it stand out less or something. I didn't quite like it. =(
The other two looks nice though. :D
