JulieG Frosted Gumdrops Collection Swatches

Hi guys!  Today I have the new-ish JulieG Frosted Gumdrops to share with you! I picked these up a little while back when Groupon had a deal on the whole set that I just couldn't pass up. I was planning on getting these once my Rite Aid store got them anyway haha! The Frosted Gumdrops Collection is 6 textured polishes, I'm still loving the trend :)

Check out swatches and reviews of each polish but clicking the read more button below.

The formula on all 6 of these was easy to work with, they were a little on the thick side but I had no application issues. These were all nice and opaque and only needed 2 coats each. For the photos with top coat I used a combo of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

I will be doing a big comparison post that covers all the different textured collections. I know you guys have been asking for it...it is on the way, I promise!

Blueberry Fizz is a light slivery blue. I really like the metallic base of this, it looks great both matte and with top coat!

Crushed Candy is a metallic purple with pink undertones. This is very much like Blueberry Fizz in terms of the finish!

Hot Cinnamon is a cherry red base with orange and pink shimmer.

Rock Candy is a metallic teal. I really love this one, particularly with top coat!

Sugar Rush is a red leaning coral with golden shimmer/glitter. This leans a bit more towards orange in person but it's definitely red toned (if that makes any sense)

Tangerine Dream is an orange base with a golden sparkle. This is one of my favorites, it's perfect for summer and it's beautiful both with and without top coat.

Overall I really like this collection, there are some shades we've seen from other brands but these are a bit cheaper so if you've been holding out on textures these might be a good way to try them out without spending too much if you end up not liking them.

JulieG polishes retail for $3.99 and are available at Rite Aid stores, if you don't have a Rite Aid near you you can also find them at JessesGirlCosmetics.com, they do ship internationally!

  1. Your pictures make them all look so beautiful and I was going to say I
just want Blueberry Fizz, but then but by the time I scrolled down here
to comment, I was saying " I want that one, ooh and that one, and oh
look at THAT one". Okay, see shat you've done?

Tangerine Dream looks amazing on you! I absolutely hated it against my skin tone. My personal favorite in this group is Hot Cinnamon which I've already worn twice since buying the collection. And that's rare for me!

  4. These are very pretty, especially with a topcoat. But I never really got on board with the textured trend. I guess my credit card is happy about that! Nice job as always, Jen. :)

My favorite of the bunch is Hot Cinnamon and I am really tempted by those. However, I heard horrible things about ordering them online, because they're not wrapped will and many arrived broken...

  6. The texture wasn't crazy on these ones, they photograph looking more textured than they are because of the macro mode on my camera

  11. I don't have a Rite Aid near me at home (stupid Florida) or near me on vacation but I was lucky enough to find these in Wegmans just down the street! They didn't have the one I was really looking for (Tangerine Dream) but I grabbed Rock Candy, Blueberry Fizz and Rock Candy and they are so much better than I expected. These are the first textured polishes I've bought, they're not really my thing, but I've been really nicely surprised. The colors are so pretty (Blueberry Fizz in particular) I would buy them over again even if I couldn't stand the texture as they were just fine with topcoat.

  14. I've got Blueberry Fizz and Hot Cinnamon, and I absolutely love them! They seem to wear fairly quickly, but I haven't tried them with a topcoat.
