Girly Bits Face The Music & Spring It On Me! Swatches

Happy Friday! Anyone have big plans for this weekend? I'm not sure what I'll be doing yet other than some kind of Mothers Day dinner for my Grandma and Mom. I still have to go out and buy gifts for Mothers Day, I never know what to get my Mom and Grandma for this day...I'm great at birthday shopping but all these other random gift buying holidays always stump me. Anyway, today I have a couple Girly Bits polishes to share with you guys! Keep on reading to check em out!

Face The Music is a bright neon green shimmery jelly with black hex glitter and black star glitter. This polish is the first polish in Pam's concert series and is for the Marianas Trench concert she recently attended. I really like the idea of making polishes based off concerts, if I was an indie maker that is totally something I'd do also! The formula was good on this polish, it was much more opaque than I expected it to be and it wasn't streaky or patchy. I did have to fish a bit for the black star glitter but they were pretty abundant in the bottle so it was easy to get them out. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Lighting: Sunlight

Lighting: office lighting (how exciting)

Spring It On Me! is a slightly lavender tinted milky base packed with glitter and a very subtle holo effect which is not translating in photos *sad face*. This is meant to be layered but shoot, I like it best on it's own...I am a rebel! The formula was really nice, it wasn't thick at all and the glitter was easy to get onto the nail. I used 3 coats for full opacity.

Face The Music and Spring It On Me! are both available for $10 at girlybits.bigcartel.com/, you can also find them at the other Girly Bits stockist listed here.

  6. Neon, shimmer and glitter? Inspired by my favourite band of all time? Well, I think it's meant to be.

  7. And also, I couldn't help but notice you spelt Marianas Trench with an apostrophe. Never spell it with an apostrophe. Sorry, inner crazy fangirl coming out, haha.

  10. BIG disappointment when I put Face the Music on my nails. have to fish around bottle to get little star shape, and even then, the glitter bits seem to float just out of reach. Even a vigorous shake didn't alleviate the issue. I was considering dumping the polish into a bowl just to get at the stars. Darn shame....

  11. did you try putting the bottle upside down for a few minutes before using it? I didn't have any issues getting the glitter out of my bottle
