Salon Perfect Neon Collision Collection Swatches

Hi guys, hope you all had a great weekend! For those of you in the states I hope you're all getting a nice long weekend like I am, I seriously live for 3 day weekends! Today I have half of the new Neon Collision Collection from Salon Perfect to share with you. Salon Perfect is a brand that can be found at Walmart stores, it's made by the same people that make China Glaze so you can often find some crossover shades within the brand for a bit cheaper! The Neon Collision Collection is 6 matte neon glitter mixes in a clear base...very Floam-esque. I think this is probably the best (and most obvious) example of indie polishes crossing into the main stream that we've seen yet!
Check out swatches & review of each polish after the jump!

Formula wise these were consistent across all three. They were on the thick side but easy to apply for layering. If you want to wear these on their own they are definitely dense enough in the glitter department to do so but you'll probably want to thin them a bit before trying that. I used 1 coat of each Salon Perfect polish over a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. Each swatch is also with top coat, I used KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Bang is orangey pink and yellow matte glitter in a clear base. This is heavy on the yellow with an accent of the orangey pink bits, overall it looks like a light orange once on the nail.

Exploded is a lot like Bang, except it's mostly the orangey pink glitter with an accent of the yellow matte glitter. Exploded and Bang are a little difficult to tell apart in photos but in person Exploded is a bit darker, however they are similar enough that you probably don't need both.

Kaboom is blue and yellow matte glitter. This is the Floam dupe! I don't care that I already have a polish like this, it will always be one of my favorite combos of glitter. I like that such a fun polish like this is going to be widely available to people are aren't nail polish crazed loonies like I am, maybe it will encourage more of the main stream brands to do things like this!

Overall I really love these, you best bet I will be stalking my local Walmart like a boss to get the other 3 polishes in this collection!

The Neon Collision Collection from Salon Perfect will be available at Walmart in June for $3.98 each!

  1. Are you going to pick up the Essie Naughty Nautical COllection? If so, could you compare Rock the Boat to Bikini so Teeny? Would be great

  10. Do these dry matte like Floam & the others do? I prefer that so much to the melted look of the topcoated glitters. The ones I have from Elemental Styles (sadly no longer producing) are amazing without topcoat.

  11. They do, I prefer them that way too but they are hard to photograph for some reason without top coat

This may be totally random, but if you can't get ahold of the last three I'd always be happy to grab them! My Walmart has a huge display of them.

  14. I'd been debating buying a matte micro glitter like Floam for as long as I can remember. I just didn't want to pay that much. When I saw these were coming out to WALMART(which is one thing we DO have in Iowa,) I was so excited! I went and bought a bottle of each except for Bang, which they didn't have on the display. I'm now wearing them in a rainbow on my fingers!

  15. I have a lot of nail polish from salon perfect. They have really pretty colors. But, if you choose matte, then be sure to put a really good top coat on it because it tends to chip easily.
