Avon Cosmic Collection Swatches

Hi guys! Today I have the Avon Cosmic Collection to share with you guys! I had no idea until these showed up at my house than Avon even made nail polish like this. I think I must live under a rock or something because this collection is pretty awesome! The Cosmic Collection is 10 subtle scattered holographic polishes. I usually prefer holos that punch you in the eyeballs with rainbows but these are a really nice change from that! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Formula wise these were pretty consistent over all 10. They were a little bit thinner than I usually prefer but I found these easy to apply. They all went on smoothly and were opaque in 2 coats. The holo is definitely subtle in these but you can see it, some shades are more obvious than others. All photos are 2 coats of polish, no top coat, and in natural sunlight.

Aurora is a pretty purple!

Celestia is a light blue green shade.

Eclipse is a very dark teal. This is one of my favorites from the collection, I wore it for a couple days and got quite a few compliments on it!

Galaxy is a medium blue.

Moonbeam is a silver. The holographic bits in this were a bit more noticeable in person.

Radiant is a light gold.

Saturn is a dark burnt orange. This is by far my favorite of the collection, I love the shade of orange and I don't *think* I have anything quite like this in my stash already.

Starburst is a magenta. This reminds me a bit of OPI DS Extravagance, just less holo. If you've ever wanted a more scattered holographic version of that polish you'll want to check this one out.

Starlight is a bright yellow. There seems to be some green undertones in this, they really came out with my skin tone. This is another favorite for me!

Super Nova is a coral-y red.

Overall I'm pretty impressed with these, this is the first time I've tried Avon's polish and I had no idea they made such great stuff! My picks are Eclipse, Saturn and Starlight!

Avon Nail Polishes are available on the Avon website, each of the Cosmic polishes retails for $6!

  2. Some of those are super pretty, the orange is amazing !!! Are they similar to the LA Girls scattered holos that came out a few months ago ? I wish someone would make an olive green !

  6. Avon has tons of colors and I love the quality for the price. They have constant sales on their polishes. I have had better luck with their formula than some of the OPI and Essie since my nails have a hard time keeping polish on them. Polish tends to peel right off as soon as my nails get wet, not so with the Avon formulas. I agree with the Eclipse being gorgeous as well.

  8. These ARE pretty fab; I own them all already, but I needed to write to let you guys know, hey, don't sleep on Avon products! I promise I'm not an Avon rep, just a longtime fan, and they've really come a long way with their makeup and especially their nail polishes! The formulas are great and they're always coming out with new collections. I love their eyeliners, too.

  9. Two of my fav polishes are Avon (color trend collection) but since they sold them here in Chile only via Catalog you can't try em before you buy em, sadly. Hope this new collection is available over here!

  12. I rarely do my nails myself and when I do it comes out crappily but I did them today. I can't believe you actually reviewed the nail polish line that I used earlier today. I used Starlight and it looks pretty good but of course not as nice as yours.

Love your blog! Would love to read about how you do such a beautiful job every time!
