Cirque Arcus Collection Swatches

Hi guys! Today I have the newest Cirque Collection called The Arcus Collection to share with you! Cirque just released this collection yesterday, it's another that I've been waiting for. I was so impressed with the last collection that Annie did that I really couldn't wait to see what she came up with next. This collection is 12 polishes in total, there is everything from gorgeous holos to fun glitters and really pretty shimmer! Cirque also changed up their packaging with this collection, instead of the bottles with the sticker logo they are now printed onto the bottles!

Check out swatches & reviews of each polish by clicking the read more button below.

Bejeweled is a blue holo. This reminds me a bit of OPI DS Glamour, if you've never been able to get your paws on that polish or you don't want to pay ridiculous eBay prices for it I think this is the perfect alternative for it. The holo was stronger in person! The formula was great, it was easy to apply and didn't drag or have balding problems. I used 2 coats for the photos below, all photos are in natural sunlight.

Electric Circus is chartreuse, pink and blue matte neon glitter of various sizes in a clear base. You know me, I'm a big sucker for matte glitter like this so of course this is a favorite! The formula was great, it wasn't thick at all at the glitter payoff was wonderful! I used 1 coat over Sation You're My Lacquer Charm for the photos below, all photos are in the shade.

Erda is an emerald green shimmer. I'm so glad that Emerald is the Pantone color for 2013, I'm loving all the beautiful greens like Erda that have been coming out because of it! This also had a little bit of a blue shift to it but it's wasn't super noticeable. The formula was good, it was a little sheer on the first coat but completely opaque with the second coat. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Helios is a golden glitter bomb! This is made up of fine gold glitter and larger holographic golden glitter. I couldn't capture the holographic-ness of the larger gold glitter, even in the sun, but I promise it's there and it's beautiful! The formula was a little thick on this one but I think that actually made application a bit easier. The coverage was great on Helios, you could layer this if you wanted but it's opaque enough to wear on it's own very easily. I used 2 coats for the photos below, both photos are in the shade.

Iris is a shimmery top coat. This is the kind of polish you can layer over anything to give it a little extra bit of shimmer. The shimmer in this is multicolored but depending on what you layer it over it's a bit of a chameleon. I really liked this over light shades (especially light blue) but it just refused to photograph that way, if you get this you have to try it over that! I used 1 coat over Nails Inc Black Taxi for the photos below, the formula was great on this polish...it's easy to apply and gives great shimmer coverage. Both photos below are in the shade.

Kaleidoscope is a mutlicolored glitter top coat. There are all sorts of colors going on in here, and all the glitter in matte or satin which I'm also a fan of. If that wasn't enough there are also all kinds of shapes of glitter in here, even diamond glitter! The formula was good, this was not thick and application was easy. The glitter payoff was great, I used 1 coat over Sation Queenie In A Bottle for the photos below, both photos are in the shade.

Le Invader is multicolored small square glitter in a clear base. The glitter in this looks a bit bent on the nail and in the bottle but it laid completely flat on the nail without the help of top coat. I'm not sure if the bent look is just an optical illusion or what. The formula was a little tricky on this, it was very glitter dense which made it a bit thick. I found the best way to apply this was to dab it on, if you try to apply it like normal polish the glitter wanted to all clump together. I used 1 "coat" over Sation Of Corset I'll Call You for the photos below, both photos are in the shade.

Lullaby is a mix of satin pastel glitter in a clear base. The glitter is all different sizes and shapes, there is even star glitter in here but I didn't manage to get any of them onto the nail for my swatch :( The formula was good, it was easy to apply and the glitter payoff was great. I used 1 coat over Sation Lollipop Goes The Princess for the photos below, both photos are in the shade.

Magic Hour is a mix of iridescent glitter in a clear base. This is another that will look very different depending on what you layer it over. Over lighter colors this has a more blue/purple look to it, over darker shades it leans more towards red/orange shifts with the glitter. The formula was a little on the thick side but it was easy to apply and very glitter dense. I used 1 coat over Sation Peppermint Pedi for the photos below, both photos are in the shade.

Queen Majesty is royal purple and blue glitter. This polish is SO pretty, I don't think any photos will do it much justice. This was super opaque on it's own, I didn't think it would be so I layered it and you can't even see my base color. The formula was good, it was a little thick but easy to apply and super glitter dense. I used 1 coat over Sation Super Nail-tural Powers, you can't even see the base color so 2 coats of this on it's own would be perfect. All photos below are in the shade.

Sanguine is a pretty orangey shimmer. This has a bit of a red duochrome to it in the shade but nothing too crazy. On it's own this was a bit sheer but it built really easily, because of the sheerness this would be great over a dark base and it would probably help the duochrome come out more that way. The formula was good, I had no issues with it look streaky like some shimmers like this can. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Vesuvius is a reddish pink holo. This was the first polish I swatched from the collection and I gotta say, as soon as I stepped out into the sun with this on my mind was a bit blown. This is super holo, rainbows were everywhere! Photos really don't do this justice at all, it's beautiful! The formula was really nice, it was easy to apply and didn't have any kind of balding or patchy problems. I used 2 coats for the photos below, all photos are in natural sunlight.

Overall I really like this collection, I think there is a little something for everyone. My personal favorites are Bejewled, Lullaby, Electric Circus and Vesuvius.

  1. I ♥ this collection! The glitters are so unique and gorg! I don't think they can ship it to Singapore though :(

  2. Love your swatches as usual, but I'll admit I have mixed feelings about this collection. I was really excited when I saw the promotional images, but underwhelmed when I saw the swatches. I have to hand it to Cirque though, they really know how to market their stuff, from the packaging to the bloggers that review their stuff. The holos are nice, and I like Lullaby, but the others I can do without. Disappointing too because I really loved their last collection.

  3. Do you happen to have DS Glamour so that we could see a comparison? Glamour looks a lot more purple to me in other swatches.

I've been looking forward to this collection so thanks for the swatches!

  6. Loving all the glitters. Good to hear the payoff was good with them. Sparse glitters that you have to fish out are such a pain. Thanks for the review and beautiful swatches!

  8. I bought Electric Circus, Lullaby, and Magic Hour yesterday. But now I'm a little disappointed I passed up Bejeweled, Vesuvius, and Queen Majesty. If only I had ALL the money...

  12. I noticed in Kaleidoscope some of the square glitters have a little tail/tab. I noticed the same thing in an OPI polish Light of Emerald City. What is up? Is it hard to find cleanly cut white matte glitters? Maybe they used the same supplier.

  13. I got a few of these (Erda, Magic Hour, Queen Majesty, Vesuvius) at Annie's sample sale a few weeks ago. I am (was?) not a holo lover but Vesuvius is just flat-out gorgeous. I seriously cannot stop staring at my hands when I wear it. (This is why people love holos, isn't it?)
