OPI Neon Revolution Mini Set Swatches & Review

Hi guys, happy Friday! Anyone have big plans this weekend? I'm thinking about going and getting my hair chopped off, I'm really lazy about my hair so I tend to get it cut short then just let it grow long and get it cut again when I can't stand dealing with it anymore...I'm about at that point. I think I might go a bit short so it forces me to actually do my hair in the morning before work instead of just putting it all up in a mess bun.

Today I have swatches of the new OPI Neon Revolution Mini Set to share with you guys. This mini set comes with a white base polish, 4 neons, and a top coat...all mini sized! Check out the swatches & reviews after the jump!

The mini set comes with a white creme, named White Base, it is meant to go under each of the neons to help with the opacity and the vibrancy of the color. Unfortunately I really hated the formula of the white base...I'm sure it was just because of the brush in the mini bottle, but it was a pain and I gave up on it after trying to do 1 nail lol! For all the swatches in this post I used the neons over a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls (which is the bottle I am holding in the photos), all photos are also with CND Air Dry as my top coat all all photos are in natural sunlight.

Blue It Out Of Proportion is a bright cobal blue. This is my favorite color wise in the mini set, I really don't think I will ever tire of blue like this (I'm even wearing a blue like it as I type this lol). The formula though was the trickiest of the mini set though, it was on the patchy and streaky side on the first and second coat...I used 3 coats to completely even it out.

Don't Say It- Yellow It! is a neon yellow. This was so much brighter on the nail than I thought it was going to be looking at the bottle, that was a nice surprise. The formula was surprisingly good, it wasn't streaky and the opacity was good over white. On its own you'd need a ton of layers to get it to this kind of color so I probably wouldn't bother trying. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Pink Outside The Box is a neon pink. This is a bit brighter in person, also brighter on the nail than it looked in the bottle like the previous polish. The formula was good, it was a little streaky on the first coat but 2 coats evened it out.

The Time Is Pow is a bright neon orange. This was a little bit more of a red toned orange than it looked in the bottle. The formula was good, no streaky or patchy issues. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

The OPI Neon Revolution Mini Set will be available in July for $19.95 ($24.95 CAN), you will be able to find it at authorized OPI retailers like Ulta, Beauty Brands, Chatters, Beauty First, JCPenny Salons, Dillards etc...
