KBShimmer Fall 2013 Collection Swatches

Happy Friday! Today I have the Fall 2013 Collection from KBShimmer to share with you guys! For Fall KB Shimmer is introducing 7 new polishes, everything from satin matte shimmers to crellies...there is really something for everyone in here! I love the diversity in colors and finishes in this collection. I also really like the names of these, I don't know how the ladies behind indies come up with all their names...I would be so bad at that haha!

Check out all the swatches & reviews are the jump!

Every Nook & Cranberry is cranberry red base with pink and gold shimmer. This dries to a really pretty satin matte finish. I love this both with and without top coat, I especially love how visible the shimmer was both ways as well. The formula was really nice, it was a great consistency and the opacity was great. I used 2 coats for the photos below, the first 2 photos are without top coat, the second 2 are with top coat. All photos are in natural sunlight.

Excuse Me, I Blurpled is a blurple jelly base with blue and purple glitter, there are also hints of copper glitter throughout. This is perfectly walking that line between purple and blue, in some lights it would lean more purple and other light more blue...I quite like it! The formula was good, it was a bit sheer on the first coat but opaque with the second. The glitter payoff was great and it was easy to get out of the bottle. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Teal Another Tail is a green leaning teal base with a heavy pink shimmer. The shimmer almost has a golden duochrome but not quite, it was more visible in the bottle than on the nail. This is hands down one of my favorite KBShimmer polishes ever...it's so unique and beautiful! The formula was good, a touch on the thick side but easy to apply. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Turbulence is a slate grey with silver flakes of glitter along with pops of blue and fuchsia shimmer. This is another one that dries to a really pretty satin matte finish. I love how subtle the flakes and shimmer is, it looks good both with and without top coat though I do prefer it without top coat. The formula was good, it was a great consistency and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below, all photos are in natural sunlight. The first 2 photos are without top coat, the last 2 are with top coat.

Vicious Circles is a red jelly base loaded with holographic circle glitter in 2 sizes, holographic hex glitter and tiny holographic bar glitters. This unfortunately doesn't translate in photos are beautiful as it was in person, the holographic glitter were crazy but my camera was like NOPE :( If you like KBShimmer Got A Crush On Blue you'll probably like this also. The formula was good, you can layer it or wear it on it's own, I used 3 coats on its own for full opacity.

You Autumn Know is a white crelly base packed with gold, fuchsia and orange glitter. Love this color palette, KBShimmer does crelly polishes like this so well! I love the name of this one so much, I definitely sang You Oughta Know while swatching it (and while typing this lol). The formula was good, you can layer this or wear it on it's own, I used 3 coats on its own for full opacity.

You Go Ghoul! is a black jelly base with purple, berry and orange glitter. I'm loving the name of this too, Halloween themed polishes are such a weakness for me. I like how dark this one is and the depth the glitter gives it. The formula was good, you can layer this or wear it on it's own. I used 3 coats on its own for full opacity.

Overall I really like this collection, it's so diverse and all the finishes are great. My personal favorite is Teal Another Tail but I'm also loving Every Nook & Cranberry, You Autumn Know and You Go Ghoul!

The Fall 2013 Collection will be available starting on September 1st, if you live in the US you can order from KBShimmer.com, for international orders check out Harlow & Co!

  1. Beautiful polishes. It's amazing to see the indies soaring over popular brands these days. Can't say I've been impressed with brands such as OPI and China Glaze lately. Maybe indies will become more mainstream soon!!

  9. Oh holy cow, I had deliberately avoided indies for the sake of my storage space and credit card balances, but I might NEED Teal Another Tail.
