Emily de Molly Oceanic Forces

Hi guys! Today I have Emily de Molly Oceanic Forces to share with you. This was on my wish list for ages and I kept missing restocks for it so it was a nice surprise when it was included in a package of samples from Llarowe.

Oceanic Forces is a blue jelly base with holographic turquoise hex glitter and large turquoise holographic circle glitter. The circle glitter is what made me want this, I can't get enough circle glitter! The formula was ok, I had no issues with the jelly base or the hex glitter but the circles were near impossible to get out of the bottle. I had a difficult time with this, I ended up putting the bottle upside down for about 10 minutes and then after some tedious glitter fishing managed to get a few circles out and onto the nail.

I do like this even if the formula left something to be desired. I love the depth it has and how the glitter sparkled through the jelly base. I used 2 coats for my photos below but 3 probably would have been ideal!

  2. I think I like it better without the large dots, actually!

  3. I love this one! Show it on my blog as well today. It's the large circular glitters that makes it, even though there are some fishing to do, and to place the glitter as well. I thought three coats were good for the depths, too.

  6. Shame that the big dots were so hard to fish out because it really does add a beautiful depth to the polish; it truly looks like bubbles!! :)

  8. I just ordered this AND Cosmic Forces because I couldn't decide which one I liked better. Hope I don't have to do too much fishing because I LOVE that circle glitter. Looks very Ariel to me. =)

  10. I had a hell of a time fishing the big glitter out too. I thought maybe I had just gotten a bad polish, because none if the reviews I read said anything about it.; they all just praised the polish, (A nice little reminder of why your blog is my favorite). But the polish is gorgeous enough to endure the tedious fishing.
I have Cosmic Forces and Dark Forces too, and its a lot easier to get the big glitter out of those two. Imo, Cosmc Forces is the most plentiful. But they're all so very beautiful :)

  12. This is beautiful! I love the depth it has. It's also nice that it's opaque enough to wear by itself.

I felt the same way jesinthecity, I thought there was something wrong with me! My swatches looked nothing like most of the reviews I've seen! My Cosmic Forces is no easier either...but I agree it's still beautiful!

  15. This is the most beautiful polish I've ever seen, but its too pricey for my drugstore budget. I'm looking for a dupe.

  19. I have Cosmic Forces and just ordered Oceanic Forces even though I had a hell of a time getting the circles out with Cosmic Forces.
But, the end result is so stunning I decided it was worth a bit of frustration. And yes, I also stood the bottle upside down for awhile and it made it a lot easier.
The Cosmic Forces is one of the most beautiful polishes I have ever encountered- I say it's akin to looking through the Hubble Telescope ;) and I virtually accosted friends and family to gaze at it and be amazed haha
I don't know if you've heard of Arcane Polish (on etsy) but she has some stunning polishes also and is a Melbourne gal like myself.
IDK if she ships internationally, but she's definitely one worth following as I think her polishes have a depth and subtlety that makes them stand out from the crowd.
And yay for Aussie indie polish makers too
    Love your blog <3
