OPI Pink of Hearts 2013 Swatches

Hi guys! Today I have OPI's Pink of Hearts set for 2013 to share with you. OPI comes out with a Pink of Hearts polish (or duo) every year to support Breast Cancer Awareness. Usually you can find these in stores around September/October but my local beauty supply already had them out a couple weeks back so I snatched it right up! This year the duo also comes with Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon decals and little crystal decals, I haven't used them yet so they aren't in this post, but they are super cute!

Pink-ing of You is a pink creme. This is a classic OPI, I believe it came out in one of their Soft Shade collections years ago. I had never picked this up before so it's a new addition to my stash. It's a nice flattering shade of pink  that will probably look great on a variety of different skin tones. The formula was good, it was a little patchy on the first coat but I had no other issues. I used 3 coats to even it out, both photos below are in natural sunlight.

More Than A Glimmer is multicolored glitter in a sheer pink base. This dries matte which I thought was fun. You can layer this or wear it on it's own, it is on the sheer side so you'd probably need 3-4 coats that way to get it opaque. The formula was a bit on the thick side but I had no application issues and the glitter payoff was great. I used 1 coat over Pink-ing of You for the photo below, the photo is in the shade.

I don't think the Pink of Hearts 2013 set is available at retailers like Ulta yet (at least I haven't seen it there) but you can get it online places like Amazon!

Great swatches!! More than a glimmer is so pretty, really like the mix of glitter. It's not a straight up rainbow glitter (e.g. rainbow connection) :)

  2. So dying for this to come out. I don't have a pink like this yet in my (fairly new) collection so I've been waiting!!!!! Plus the glitter. Ah-mazing. Thanks!

  3. Ooh, I love More Than A Glitter - love the fact that it dries matte, too! Thanks for sharing!

  4. Ooh the glitter looks fun!

  5. I love More than a Glimmer, it is gorgeous! can't wait till it shows up in my local stores.

  6. DAT GLITTER. i love that mainstream brands are making indie trends more accessible.

  7. Oh, I think I need that glitter. (Checking...) Yep. I do.

  8. More Than a Glimmer is really pretty!

  9. Both shades are very pretty. Is it a dupe for If You Moust You Moust? If not I will definitely pick them both up!

  10. I like the glitter!

  11. How much did the set cost at your local beauty supply?

  12. I honestly don't remember since I bought so much other stuff at the same time, probably around $8-10

I will be skipping this set. I'm not a huge fan of pink, and the glitter looks really close to China Glaze It's a Trapeze, which I already own.

Whoa! The More Than A Glimmer drying matte sounds interesting. I'll have to go search for it

  15. Such a super cute set! I've been on a pink kick this summer so this is the perfect set to finish summer with...if I can find it, lol. I hope so much my local supply has this! LOVE the glitter. The glitter is the reason I *need* this (of course) but I like the pink too so, bonus! :D I'm really into how your mani dried matte - looks awesome that way. :D

  16. I'm a little disappointed with this set only because Pink-ing Of You looks identical to last years I Think In Pink, I do however purchase the pink of hearts every year and the glitter this year is unlike anything I have ever seen before, and is a must have, it definitely makes up for the dupes :)
