piCture pOlish New Collaboration Shades: Electric Dream, Shy Violet, Lagoon & Freya's Cats

Hi guys! Today I have the 4 new collaboration shades from piCture pOlish for ya. Out of anything from any polish company these are what I look forward to the most. I think it's so fun to see what bloggers create and how piCture pOlish interprets their ideas. I have to say, I think this might be my favorite set of collaboration shades so far (minus Mallard because well clearly that is my favorite ever!!). All 4 of these shades are flippin fantastic, I think you guys are going to love them as much as I do! Check out the swatches after the jump!

Electric Dream is a gorgeous coral/pink with a strong golden shimmer and a sprinkle of holographic sparkles. Depending on your skin tone this can pull either more coral or more pink, on me it's very pink. This shade is a collaboration with Michaela from Nail Polish Anon. It was inspired by coral she saw snorkeling in Fiji...what an inspiration! You can read more about that on Michaela's blog here, you can also see how this pulls more much coral on her more olive skin tone!

The formula of Electric Dream was really nice, it was a great consistency and applied easily. The opacity was also really nice, I used 2 coats for the photos below. This did dry a bit matte, my swatches are with top coat. All photos below are in natural sunlight.

Freya's Cats is an electric blue with scattered holographic shimmer. This is a collaboration with Sasha from Nihrida. I was pretty excited about this not only because I love the shade but because I love Sasha's blog, it was one of the first I found when I started reading nail blogs and her swatches are seriously flawless..I love her nails! Freya's Cats was inspired by Freya....the Norse goddess of love, beauty, war and death. Apparently Freya rode a chariot pulled by 2 blue cats! She sounds like my kinda lady...if I was a goddess I'd want to have a sweet ride like that also. To read more about Sasha's inspiration and to see her swatches check out her blog here.

The formula of Freya's Cats was good, it was a bit on the sheer side due to the jelly like base of the blue. It built easily and I managed to get away with 2 coats since I tend to do my coats on the thick side. If you do thinner coats 3 would probably be what you need for full opacity. All of the photos below are in natural sunlight.

Lagoon is a blue leaning turquoise base packed with turquoise glitter and holographic sparkles. This is a collaboration with Sam from Fashion Polish! It was inspired by Sam's quest for the perfect turquoise shade...I think she hit the nail on the head! To read more about Sam's inspiration and to see her swatches of  Lagoon check out her blog here!

The formula of Lagoon was really nice, it was a bit crelly like. It had the squishy quality of jelly but the opacity of a creme. This was a bit brighter than I thought it would be, its a bit of a chameleon, it looks very bright out in the sun and more subdued and dusty in the shade. I used 2 coats for the photos below. The first 2 photos are in natural sunlight and the last 2 are in the shade.

Shy Violet is a bright purple with a scattered holographic sparkle. This is a collaboration with Rachel of Glam Polish. You can read all about Rachel's shade and see her swatches on her blog here. I have to say, this is anything but a shy violet, this is like a BAM I'M VIOLET kind of shade I think haha! I really love how vivid this purple is, piCture pOlish does some of the best purples I've seen and this is definitely one of them.

The formula was good but a bit on the sheer side, I used 3-4 coats for full opacity. Some nails were good with 3 and a couple needed an extra coat. The holographic in this is a bit on the shy side (maybe that's why it's called Shy Violet lol), I couldn't seem to capture it with my camera. This did dry a little bit matte, my swatch is with top coat. All photos below are in natural sunlight.

Overall like I said at the beginning of the post this set of 4 collaboration shades is pretty awesome, I love all 4!

All of the new Collaboration shades are available on the piCture pOlish website, along with at their network of etailers all over the world like Llarowe, Harlow & Co and Nail Polish Canada. For a full list of etailers all over the world check out the piCture pOlish website here.
