Zoya Holiday 2013 Zenith Collection Swatches

Hi guys1 Hope you all had a great weekend! Today I have my very first Holiday Collection post for 2013 for you! Is it just me or does it seem like Holiday stuff comes out earlier and earlier every year? Maybe it's just me being in denial about how late into the year we are haha! This years Holiday Collection from Zoya, called Zenith, is being released tomorrow so I thought I'd post up my swatches for you in case you're trying to make up your mind on if you want to pick any up. Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Belinda is a metallic purple shimmer. This is a nice vibrant purple, it leans a little blue depending on the light you're in. The formula was good, it was a little bit watery so I did find myself having to be careful so I didn't flood my cuticles but otherwise it was great. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Cassedy is a metallic pewter. The formula was really nice, it was a great consistency and very easy to apply. The opacity was also good, I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Dream is a deep blue with a scattered holographic effect. The holographic glitter is much better in person, very reminiscent of Storm and Aurora from last years Holiday Collection if you are familiar with those. The formula was good, it was a bit jelly like and sheer at first. This was easy to build up and opaque in 3 coats.

Lighting: Shade
Mosheen is iridescent bar glitter and iridescent small hex glitter in a sheer icy blue base. This is much to sheer for me to wear on it's own but it's perfect for layering. Because the base is sheer it can be put over pretty much anything without altering the base color too much. The formula was good, it was a tad bit thick but easy to apply and the glitter payoff was great! I used 1 coat over each of the other shades in the Zenith Collection for the photos below.

Payton is a dark purple jellyish base with a scattered holographic effect. This is very similar in finish to Dream, but I found that the glitter didn't peek through quite as much as it did with Dream. The formula was good, the base was jelly-ish but much more opaque than it was with Dream. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Seraphina is a greyish silver metallic shimmer. This is a surprise favorite for me, typically I don't love shades like this but something about this one is very appealing to me. I think maybe it's because it's a nice metallic silvery shade but it's not a foil finish, it's a nice alternative. The formula was good, it was a bit on the sheer side but it was easy to build it up. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

The Zenith Collection from Zoya will be available at Zoya.com starting on October 1st, 2013. Each polish retails for $8!

  3. I want to like this collection, but it's way too purple/blue heavy and I say this as someone who like purple... well not so much blue. The individual colours are nice, but something about it feels more gloomy and cold as opposed to festive and holiday-like

  4. I won Mosheen about a month ago from a giveaway I love it way more over darker colors. But your swatches make me wanna try it over a lighter color again.

  5. I respect the move to eschew traditional holiday colors (OPI and a billion reds) but I feel like only Dream and Seraphina are my must haves.

  6. Could you compare OPI Tomorrow Never Dies with Belinda? Love your swatches btw!!!

  7. I want all of them except for the deep burgundy holo - it's too dark the one from last yr that was the darker of the 2 I find I don't wear much at all because it's so dark and the holo seems to disappear... love the blue scattered holo and while normally I don't like bar glitter I like this one over Seraphina a lot.

Great swatches, thank you for this post!
Before I saw your swatches I thought Dream is quite similar to Picture Polish Freya's Cats, but here it looks like it is closer to Picture Polish Cosmos... what do you think?
