Today I have 3 LE Halloween shades from GlitterDaze to share with you, all 3 are glitter packed with totally Halloween appropriate names. I also included a couple photos of Degen in his costume for this year at the end of the post if you want to see that! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

piCture pOlish Inspire shades: Believe, Dream & Love Swatches

Hi guys! Today I have the piCture pOlish Inspire shades to share with you! These 3 shades were released to celebrate Jules (the wonderful lady who runs piCture pOlish social media) kicking the habit of biting her nails, a kind of thank you from her and the girls at piCture pOlish for the support she received from everyone on her journey. I can relate to Jules with nail biting, I did it for like 20 years and stopping was hard. It was great to see everyone rally around Jules as she started posting progress of her nails growing and they look great now! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

KBShimmer Sand In My Stocking Swatches

Hi guys! Today I have my collaboration polish for KBShimmer's Winter 2013 Blogger Collection to share with you! I'll have the whole collection swatched and posted in the next couple of weeks also! My shade is called Sand In My Stocking and it was inspired by the beach. Specifically it was inspired by a snowman made of sand, because it doesn't snow here :( I was going for the look of taking the sandy snowman and putting all his colors in glitter form then stuffing it into a bottle...there are also some pops of blue glitter in here to represent the ocean! For this post a couple of my friends and I actually went to the beach and attempted to make a sandy snowman but we made the mistake of going to a cove beach and the tide started coming in so we were like OH NOES and rushed to finish him and yeahhhhh it was pretty pathetic but I'll post it at the end of the post so you can have a good laugh at our fail haha!

Sand In My Stocking is not a typical holiday shade and it can really translate into any season depending on what you layer it with. It's packed with small white, gold, tan, grey and brown glitter, larger gold hex and circle glitter, orange hex glitter, aqua blue circle glitter and gold holographic star glitter. The different colors/shapes of glitter all represent different things, like the white, gold, tan, grey & brown are the sand and seashells, the gold circles are sand dollars, the orange hex is the carrot nose and the aqua is the water! I think Christy managed to translate what I was imagining in my head perfectly, I love how complex and glitter dense this is. Formula wise this is very glitter packed so it can be a little thick however it's easy to apply...no dabbing required. The stars are relatively easy to get out of the bottle, you don't need to fish for them to get them onto the nail. The glitter payoff is great in 1 coat, which is what I used over all the base colors in the photos below.

Saturday Spam: Formula X

Hi guys! Today I have a big old helping of spam for you, today's brand is Formula X! Formula X is a relaunch of the Sephora X polishes Sephora put out last year. Along with the new name they redesigned the bottles and also made them a little bigger. I'm loving the redesign, mostly because my one complaint about the Sephora X polishes were that the caps didn't come off and they were a pain to get to line up after using the polish...now the caps do come off!!

Formula X launched a couple weeks back online and in stores, the range is HUGE and includes everything from cremes to neons and indie-like glitters. I honestly don't think I have ever been so excited about a new brand, I heard about these being in stores late September/early October a few months back so I saved up all my birthday money and went a bit nuts. I tried to get a little bit of  everything in terms of the finishes but I don't have something from every one of the different lines...yet. I've actually bought more since I swatched everything for this post so expect another post sometime in the future. Check out all the swatches after the jump!

OPI Holiday 2013 Mariah Carey Holiday Collection Swatches

Happy Friday! Today I have OPI's Holiday Collection to share with you, they have teamed up with Mariah Carey for another collection! The Mariah Carey Holiday Collection is a big one, 18 polishes in total (plus a special top coat not included in this post). The collection is made up of 12 cremes/shimmers/glitters and 6 new Liquid Sand shades. The collection is really heavy on reds which personally doesn't thrill me but I feel like OPI made up with that with the glitters and liquid sand shades! If there are any comparisons you'd like to see for these please leave them in the comments.

Check out all the swatches by clicking the read more button below. Just FYI this post is picture heavy so it might be a little slow to load.

Liquid Sky Lacquer Napa Cabernet and Solar Plum

Hi guys! Today I have a couple polishes from a new to me indie brand called Liquid Sky Lacquer to share with you! These were included in a box from Llarowe that I got recently. Liquid Sky Lacquer does a lot of color changing polishes, some thermal and some solar which is fun. I'm a big lover of color changing polishes and she makes some beautiful ones if you are also loving them!

Napa Cabernet is a wine red jelly with silver hex glitter, small red hex glitter and red micro glitter. I'm a bit torn on this, I really like the swatch of it on the Liquid Sky Lacquer big cartel site but my bottle really does not look anything like that swatch. I'm not sure if the formula changed or something but it's pretty drastically different which was disappointing. The formula was ok, the consistency was good but I found it hard to get the glitter out of the bottle and onto the nail. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Solar Plum is a silver to purple holo that shifts in color with the sun. This is a UV color changer, not a thermal so it won't change under hot/cold water. I love this one, the shift is really noticeable and I love that it's a holo! I do have some UV changing polishes in my stash but nothing like this! The formula was good, it was a bit on the sheer side but it built up without any issues. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Girly Bits Elephant Shoe & OVbunEN

Hi guys! Today I have a couple polishes from Girly Bits to share with you! These 2 are available individually or as a duo! I was pretty excited about these because the glitter is fab and the other is a creme. I love when indies to creme polishes, maybe that's boring but I don't care, I love creme polishes so I was excited to try out Pam's cremes!

Check out more photos of these 2 polishes after the jump!

NOTD: Paramore/Still Into You Inspired Nails

Hope you're all having a good weekend so far! Today I have a quick post of my nails that I'll be rocking tonight for the Paramore concert I'm going to. I decided to take inspiration from their Still Into You music video, particularly Hayley's hair and tights.

I used OPI Kiss Me On MY Tulips and Nicole by OPI Fairy Fairy Quite Contrary for the orange/pink and Nicole by OPI Hit The Lights for the yellow drips. I like how this turned out even though the drips aren't as fantastical as I had imagined...they are harder to do than I expected. I'm pretty awful at freehanding stuff obviously, but that's alright!

October 2013 PopSugar Must Have Box

Happy Friday! Anyone have big plans this weekend? I'm going to see Paramore tomorrow, it should be a fun time even though I'll probably be like the oldest person there who isn't there with their child or something. I'm going to be doing a mani for the concert that I'll be posting tomorrow!

Today I have my PopSugar Must Have box for October to share with you guys. I posted about it on twitter the other day and a few people wanted to see it so I decided to post what was in it. This is a monthly box, much like Birchbox etc... it's on the more expensive side ($35 a month I believe, not 100% sure since tax is added to mine) but I've yet to be disappointed so I don't mind paying a bit more because I feel like I get my money's worth. The PopSugar Must Have box is usually full of both beauty and every day items, I've been signed up since July and have gotten everything from make up to scarves to jewelry and more...I like how you really never know what you might get, I look forward to when these arrive! If you guys like seeing these let me know and I can post them every month!

First up is The Can't Cook Book by Jessica Seinfeld. This is for those of us who fail at cooking, it's full of easy recipes that are easy to execute. This is perfect for me because the only thing I'm actually good at cooking is like mac & cheese lol!I feel like I'm going to get a lot of use out of this!

Next was the The Wet Brush, this brush is meant to be used on wet hair and it doesn't tug, tear, pull, rip etc which is great! This is what I was most excited about in the box, I saw these back at ISSE in January and almost bought one but I got distracted and forgot to go back to the booth. I've used this already and I love how gentle it was while brushing through my hair right after a shower! If you have tangle-y hair out of the shower this is something you might like also!

Next was a little cloth bag that held a Gorjana Charity Bali Bead Bracelet. It's hot pink and gold...I love how delicate it looks, aside from being pretty I like that if you buy this from the Gorjana website 100% of the proceeds go to the charity Breast Cancer Connections.

Next in the box was a duo of a top coat and polish from Julep. I don't care for the brand so this has already been given away to a friend.

Next in the box was a little packet of Jane Tran Bobby Pins, 6 in total. I like how these are a little more fancy than regular bobby pins, I know I'll get a lot of use out of them! She has a ton of super cute designs on her website if you've ever wanted fancy bobby pins or other hair accessories!

There were a couple of items from NYX in this month's box, a Brown Liquid Liner and a Smokey Shadow Palette. I haven't had a chance to try either of these yet but I like NYX makeup so I'm sure they will be good. I really like the shades in the palette I got and I don't already own a brown liquid liner so they are both welcome additions to my makeup collection.

here is a better look at the palette!

Last but yummiest was a GIANT Halloween appropriate rice crispy treat from The Crispery. I already ate this and it was delicious...I love rice crispy treats. In addition to being able to order these online they are also available at a lot of stores throughout the US, there is a list on their website if you're interested

You know any kind of sample box post wouldn't be complete without Degen getting all up in my business while taking photos. Clearly he was unimpressed that this box had no dog toys or treats in it.

He checked it out thoroughly, overall I think he also approves of PopSugar, he kept trying to run off with the little packet of bobby pins.

Overall October's box was great, the value was insane..I believe everything in the box added up to being worth around $130...for $35 I'd say that was well worth it! If you want to sign up for visit musthave.popsugar.com (that is my referral link, FYI).

Check out what Degen got in his box after the jump!

China Glaze Pink Of Me Collection: This One's For You

Hi guys! Today I have one of the polishes from this years Breast Cancer Awareness Collection from China Glaze to share with you. The collection is called Pink of Me and it's 3 polishes in total, 1 pink creme, a pink glitter and an iridescent glitter. I saw these while browsing 8ty8beauty.com a little while ago and ended up buying This One's For You. The other 2 just didn't seem special to me so I didn't feel the need to buy them at the time.

This One's For You is iridescent hex glitter in a shimmery base. The base has a really beautiful pink shimmer, that's pretty much what sold me on it. I feel like this is going to look great over a lot of different base colors, I went with a blue/grey so that the iridescent glitter would still show up but it would keep the blue/purple color instead of being red/orange like iridescent glitter does sometimes over darker colors. The formula was really nice, it wasn't thick and it was easy to apply. The glitter payoff was good in 1 coat. I used 1 coat over Zoya Kristen for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

As far as I know the Pink of Me Collection should be available in stores throughout October. I bought mine online at 8ty8beauty.com!

Cadillacquer Serendipity

Hi guys! Today I have a quick post for ya featuring Cadillacquer Serendipity! This was part of the All These Shiny Things Collection and it's a light blue base with a red shimmer and various sizes of fuchsia hex glitter. I really like the combo, especially the shimmer! The shimmer doesn't translate in photos as pretty as it is in person, unfortunately. The formula was really nice, it was easy to apply and much more opaque than I expected! I used 2 coats for the photos below, both photos are in natural sunlight.

Cadillacquer is available at http://cadillacquer.bigcartel.com/, remember she is from Switzerland so if you live in the US like I do shipping can take a while. Luckily there are a few etailers you can shop with if you don't want to wait for the postal service to take their sweet time delivering to you. The etailers that carry Cadillacquer are Llarowe, Harlow & Co, Femme Fatale and Beauty So Fly

OPI x Gwen Stefani for 2014

It's been a long while since I posted a press release here but I just couldn't not share this. In case you don't follow me on Twitter or Facebook or somehow missed me completely losing my mind over this last week well then here you go. OPI is collaborating with Gwen Stefani and introducing a 7 piece LE collection that will be hitting store shelves in January 2014.

I'm pretty much like the biggest No Doubt/Gwen fan ever of life so I legit happy danced and fangirled like a psycho when I heard about this collection. This is pretty much my dream collaboration, it's about freakin' time amiright?!?Anyway...keep on reading for color descriptions, official bottle shots are not available yet but you can probably find them by googling ;)

OPI joins celebrity partner Gwen Stefani in announcing seven new limited edition nail lacquers for 2014, featuring standout color in breakthrough finishes. Highlights from the collection include a bold red lacquer that pays homage to Gwen’s signature lipstick, a new semi-matte satin finish in shades of gold and black, and a mirrored chrome paired with a special base coat.

Inspired by the 2013 Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala that featured the theme “Punk: Chaos to Couture,” OPI Executive VP and Artistic Director Suzi Weiss-Fischmann decided to create a collection of lacquer celebrating the role of music as a major influence in fashion. “With her expertise as a singer, songwriter and designer, who better to collaborate with than Gwen Stefani?” asks Weiss-Fischmann. “Known for her trademark red lips, bold eye makeup and nail art, Gwen uses beauty to accessorize her style.”

Gwen’s signature red OPI hue – Over & Over A-Gwen – is available in a boxed set, which includes Swarovski black crystals and silver, gold and pewter studs in bar, square, diamond and circle shapes for creating unique nail designs, as well as nail glue for easy application.

Love.Angel.Music.Baby. and 4 in the Morning feature a new, semi-matte satin finish designed to be worn without top coat. Push and Shove, a bold chrome hue, is also worn without top coat but requires a special complimentary base coat – Lay Down that Base. One thin coat of Lay Down that Base topped with two thin coats of Push and Shove yields an intense, mirrored finish. The collection is rounded out with two glossy crème lacquers and one sparkly glitter shade: Hey Baby, I Sing in Color, and In True Stefani Fashion

OPI wanted to create a collection as dramatic, diverse and glamorous as its namesake,” adds Weiss-Fischmann. “With crème and glitter hues, new satin matte texture, a mirrored chrome and SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS, Gwen Stefani by OPI presents the latest in pigments and finishes, while combining elements of haute couture and street fashion.”

Gwen Stefani by OPI includes the following seven limited edition nail lacquers: Hey Baby, I Sing in Color, Love.Angel.Music.Baby., 4 in the Morning, In True Stefani Fashion, Push and Shove* and Over & Over A-Gwen**.

Gwen Stefani by OPI nail lacquers contain no DBP, Toluene, or Formaldehyde, and feature OPI’s exclusive ProWide Brush for the ultimate in application. This promotion will be available beginning January 2014 at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, and ULTA, for  $9.00 ($10.95 CAN) suggested retail for each nail lacquer. The boxed set including Over & Over A-Gwen and SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS will retail for $14.95 ($18.95 CAN).

*Must be worn with Lay Down that Base, which is complimentary when purchasing Push and Shove
**Sold only in a boxed set including SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS
