Dollish Polish Halloween 2013 Halloween Frights Collection Swatches

Hi guys! Today I have the Dollish Poilsh Halloween Frights Collection to share with you! Dollish Polish is coming out with 8 shades for Halloween this year that are inspired by classic horror films, these will be available from October 1st to October 31st, so if you want them make sure you don't wait too long to go snag them! I was excited about these just knowing the theme, before even seeing the polishes, I love a good horror film even if they tend to traumatize me for life. There is a little bit of something for everyone in this collection! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

1, 2 Freddy's Coming For You is inspired by Nightmare On Elm Street and is a glitter top coat with various sizes of mossy green, forest green, red and burgundy hex glitter. Oh man...I can't even with the name of this polish. We won't talk about how many sleepless nights I had as a child because of Nightmare On Elm Street and that song lol! This is nice and dense and the formula was easy to work with, you could probably get it opaque on it's own if you wanted to wear it that way. I used 1 coat over Sation Tira Miss-U for the photos below.

I'll Swallow Your Soul is inspired by Evil Dead, it's a black creme base with gold & orange micro glitter and larger orange and gold shards of glitter. The micro gliter in this almost makes it look like the base is brown. The formula was good, it was nice and opaque on it's own. I had no issue with the shard glitter sticking up or being unruly. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Redrum is inspired by The Shining and it's a garnet holo. Who doesn't love a good holo? This one is beautiful and nice and strong! The formula was great, it was easy to apply and super opaque. I used 2 coats for the photos below, all photos are in natural sunlight.

The Curse Of Michael Meyers is inspired by all of the Halloween movies, it's a  glitterbomb packed with orange, gold, red and iridescent glitter in various sizes and shapes including hex glitter and circle glitter! The formula was a little thick due to how glitter dense this is but I had no issues with application and the glitter payoff was fantastic. I used 1 coat over Sation Super Nail-tural Powers for the photos below.

They're Coming To Get You Barbara is inspired by Night Of The Living Dead. It's a sheer grey crelly base with neon green, grey, black, red and white skull & crossbones glitter. I was most excited about this because it has that skull & crossbones glitter which I haven't seen before! I found that the glitter was a bit sink-y in this so you'll want to sit the bottle upside down and give it a good shake before applying this. I also had issues with actually getting the skull & crossbones glitter out, some extreme glitter fishing was required to get the one piece out you see on my nail. Overall I do like this even though the fun glitter was a pain. I used 2 coats over Zoya Megan for the photos below.

They're Hereeee! is inspired by Poltergeist. It is a vibrant indigo with color shifting flakes of shimmer that flash between blue, purple and pink. The pink was only visible at extreme angles but it is there! Poltergeist seriously traumatized me as a child, why I was allowed to even see it I really don't know. All I remember is being terrified to go into the pool at my Grandparents house because I always thought skeletons were going to float up to the surface lol! This is a favorite for me in the collection, I love how vivid the shade is. The formula was a bit sheer at first but the consistency was good and the opacity built up easily. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Welcome To Camp Crystal Lake is inspired Friday The 13th. Oh Jason...you forever ruined hockey masks for me...how rude! This is a blue jelly with multi-sized hex and cirlce glitter in various shades of teal, turquoise, blues and silver. There are also some holographic bits of glitter in here. This can be worn on it's own but I decided to layer it over They're Hereee!, I tried the combo on a piece of paper and kind of died over how beautiful it was so I had to swatch it that way! The formula was good, you do have a fish a little bit for the big circles but I didn't find them too terribly difficult to get out. I used 2 coats over They're Hereee! for the photos below!

Lighting: Shade

What An Excellent Day For An Exorcism is inspired by The Exorcist. It's a neon lime green jelly with neon yellow and green glitter, black shard glitter and holographic lime circle and bar glitter. This also glows a bit in the dark! The Exorcist is one of those movies that never really scared me, I always kind of thought it was more funny than scary...maybe I'm weird! The formula was on the sheer side so I decided to layer 2 coats over Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Wasabi for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade
Below is What An Excellent Day For An Exorcism in the dark! The glow wasn't quite as intense in person as it's translating into photos. I used 2 coats over GlitterDaze Lucky Clover for the photo below, that combo was gorgeous...I wish I had taken sun photos of it before I took it off.

apologies for the blurry photo, my camera was like lol NOPE for all the glowy pictures.

Lighting: The dark abyss of my garage

Overall I think Dolly made a beautiful collection, my personal favorites are They're Hereee!, Welcome To Campy Crystal Lake and I'll Swallow Your Soul.

The Halloween Frights Collection will be available for the month of October at DollishPolish.com!
