Happy Halloween! Anyone have fun plans for tonight? I'm actually going to a concert tonight, I'm going to see a band called The 1975! I've never been to a concert on Halloween so it'll be interesting to see if anyone dresses up (I'm not lol). Today I have 3 LE Halloween shades from GlitterDaze to share with you, all 3 are glitter packed with totally Halloween appropriate names. I also included a couple photos of Degen in his costume for this year at the end of the post if you want to see that! Check out all the swatches after the jump!
A Garlic A Day Keeps The Vampires Away is a white to reddish pink thermal packed with black, silver and holographic glitter. Unfortunately my nails are on the short side right now so I can't show this as fantastical as it is but you can see the red a bit! If your nails are longer it will look even better on you! Side note, is it just me or do your nails get more brittle when it starts getting cold? It's pretty rare that I break nails on my swatching hand but since it's been getting a bit chilly outside I keep breaking nails (which is why they are so short right now lol). The formula was great, it wasn't thick and the opacity was really nice. It was fun to see it turn from red to white as I was applying it. I used 2 coats + top coat for the photos below, both photos are in natural sunlight.
Can't Have Your Brains And Eat 'Em Too is a forest green jelly with all kinds of sizes of gold, pink, green, purple and turquoise glitter. In addition to all that glitter there is also a gorgeous copper shimmer that I'm loving! I wish I had a polish that was this shade of green with just that copper shimmer, if anyone knows of anything like that please let me know lol! Sana (maker of GlitterDaze) emailed me saying she thought I would love this one...she was right, this is my favorite of the trio! The formula was good, it was a bit sheer at first but it builds easily and the glitter coverage was fantastic. I used 3 thin coats for the photos below.
Don't Bite The Heart That Feeds You is purple, silver, black and holographic glitter in various sizes and shapes in a clear base. There are all kinds of shapes going on in here, hex glitter, bar glitter, moon glitter, heart glitter...the works! The formula was good, it was very glitter packed but I didn't find it thick. I found it easiest to apply by doing 1 coat like a normal polish then going back and dabbing glitter in any bald spots. I layered Don't Bit The Hand That Feeds You over OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls for the photos below.
As a bonus here is Degen in his Halloween costume for this year. I went
I've decided that he's going to be a Lion this year. He's probably the least scary lion dog you'll ever meet but that's alright. If you want him to roar at you just dress up as the UPS man and ring our door bell...he'll try to blast through the screen door to eat you. :)
Enjoy the mid bark pictures, I had to bribe this beast with apple slices to get him to wear the hood part of the costume so half the time he was barking at me to give him the apples.
