OPI Miss Universe 2013 Collection Swatches

Hi guys, hope you all had a nice weekend! Today I have swatches of the new Miss Universe Collection for 2013 from OPI to share with you! OPI has released a new trio in celebration of the Miss Universe pageant on November 9th. The shades include 2 purple cremes and a matte silver shimmer. The silver also comes with a cute crown charm around the neck of the bottle. Check out all the swatches after the jump!

I'm Feeling Sashy is a dusty medium purple creme. This reminds me a bit of Parlez-vous OPI, I think it's a bit darker judging from photos (I don't own Parlez-Vous OPI) but if you've been lusting after Parlez-vous OPI this might be a good alternative. The formula was good, it was a great consistency and a breeze to apply. I used 2 coats for the photos below, both photos are in natural sunlight.

Miss You-niverse is a dark purple creme. For some reason this was photographing a bit blue, I am le suck at color correcting so I thought I'd let you know (seriously, I don't even try because it's just baaaaddddd). Though this was more purple leaning in person it was very dark and it looked black in most lighting. The formula was good, it could easily be a one coater if you're careful while applying it. I used 2 coats for the photos below, both photos are in natural sunlight.

This Gown Needs A Crown is a matte silver foil. This is easily my favorite of the collection and probably one of my favorite silvers period. The finish is matte and very smooth to the touch even though OPI says it's somewhat textured. The formula was good, it was a bit sheer at first but completely opaque in 2 coats. I did not use top coat for the photos below.

  2. I'm excited. I love all of these. Purple is one of my favorites. I even used to have a purple bedroom. The walls too.

  3. I liked these when I saw them on the internet, but in the store, I found them a lot more boring. They look great for mixing and matching for nail art, but since I suck at nail art, I think I'm going to pass. I do think the matte silver foil is nice. Thanks so much for sharing.

  4. I love the silver, I've been looking for a replacement for my bottle of Sephora by OPI's "Bring on the Snowflakes" and I think this might be it!
