Different Dimension Happy Holly Days Collection Swatches

Happy Friday! Today I have the new Holiday Collection from Different Dimension to share with you. The collection is called Happy Holly Days and it's full of glitters and holos. There is a little something for everyone in this collection, along with some unexpected polishes for holiday! This collection will be available starting tomorrow so I thought I'd get my swatches up today in case you're trying to decide what to get! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Can We Carol On is a light lavender holo with a blue shimmer. The shimmer is a bit elusive in photos but it was there in person. I love how soft this shade is and it's super holo which is always great. The formula was great, it was much more opaque than I was expecting it to be and the consistency was really nice. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Christmahanakwanzika is a glitter packed topper. There is red, yellow, blue, green, black and gold glitter. This polish is celebrating all the popular holidays and I love it. I also had a good giggle at the name, we wont talk about how many times I had to re-type it to spell it correctly. The formula was great, it was super glitter dense but not thick and the glitter payoff was great. I used 1 coat over Cult Nails Ms. Conduct for the photos below.

Don't Be The Santa of Everything is red and green circle glitter along with some square and hex glitter all in a clear base. Christmas in a bottle! I love me some circle glitter and especially festive ones like this. The formula was great, it was nice and glitter dense without being thick. I had no issues getting the big circle glitter out and onto the nail. I used 1 coat over GlitterDaze Pure for the photos below.

I Only Have Ice For You is a holo top coat with silver micro flakes. I love the addition of the flakes of glitter in this, it makes it a bit more interesting and it means that it will look good in any kind of lighting. I also love how holo this was, it will look great over so many different base colors! The formula was good, it was a good consistency and easy to apply. I used 1 coat over I Love Nail Polish Purgatory for the photos below.

Load of Baubles is a baby pink with a strong blue shimmer. This dries to a really pretty matte finish, I tried it with top coat and it looked pretty much the same that way. I really like this one, it's a bit unexpected for a holiday collection but I love how the blue shimmer gives it a bit of an icy look. The formula was good, it was a little sheer on the first coat but it builds to full opacity without any issues. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Mistle-Toad is a green holo with a strong pink shimmer. This was my instant favorite as soon as I got these in the mail...I mean hello green holo with contrasting shimmer?!? Yes please. The shimmer in this gives it a nice duochrome in the shade...this seriously looks good in any lighting. The formula was good, it was nice and opaque and easy to apply. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

That's Snow Joke is blue, white and silver glitter in various sizes and shapes in a clear base with blue shimmer. This is another that i think will look good over a ton of different colors, I'm excited to try it out over something like light blue. The formula was good, it wasn't thick and the glitter payoff was great. I used 1 coat over Can We Carol On for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

This Is Not Fir is a green jelly with silver and green circle, square and hex glitter throughout. This is nice layered or on it's own. I used it on its own for my swatch but I think next time I'll layer it, I think it would probably look great over China Glaze Holly Day! The formula was good, it is a little sheer on it's own but builds to be opaque in 3 coats.

Lighting: Shade

Tinselitis is silver and holographic circle and hex glitter in a clear base loaded with silver shimmer. I really like this one also, it's great over light colors but also really gorgeous over dark colors. I loved it over Load of Baubles but it refused to photograph well that way, I decided to include a couple photos anyway though lol! The formula was good, it wasn't thick but very glitter dense. I had no issues getting any of the glitter out and onto the nail. I used 1 coat over Load Of Baubles for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Below is Tinselitis over a darker base so you can see whats going on in the polish a bit better. I used 1 coat over I Love Nails Polish Contraband for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Why Am I Such A Misfit? is a white crelly with all kinds of shapes, sizes and colors of glitter. There is everything from neon star glitter to aqua circle glitter in here. It's fun and unexpected for holiday...plus I love the name. It makes me think of the Island of Misfit Toys from Rudolph haha! The formula was good, it can be layered or worn on it's own. I used it on it's own for my photos but I think next time I'll probably layer it over white. The formula was good, I had no issues getting a good amount of glitter on the nail and it built up to full opacity pretty easily. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

You're Not Making Any Frankincense is gold, silver and holographic circle and square glitter in a clear base. This feels very new years eve to me and I love it...plus it's got lots of circle glitter so how could I not like it? The formula was good, you do have to fish a little bit for the bigger circle glitters and dab them onto the nail but it was relatively easy to grab them out of the bottle. I used 1 coat over Cult Nails Midnight Mist for the photos below.

  1. So many sparkles! And ooh over Holly Day! I bought Holly Day b/c Glitterin Garland is my favorite polish ever, but I don't really love HD all by itself - genius idea!
