Essie Holiday 2013 Luxeffects Collection Swatches

Hi guys! Today I have 2 new Luxeffects polishes from Essie for Holiday 2013 to share with you! Essie re-released the collection and added 2 new polishes to go along with 5 re-promoted shades. The shades they brought back from the original Holiday 2011 Collection are A Cut Above, As Gold As It Gets, Set In Stones, and Pure Pearlfection, you can see swatches of them from a couple years back by clicking here. This release also includes Stroke of Brilliance which was released not too long after the original Luxeffects, you can see a swatch in this post. Anyway, since Essie added 2 new shades for Holiday 2013 of course I had to pick them up, luckily my local beauty supply got them at the same time as the Encrusted Treasures collection so I snatched them right up. Check out the swatches after the jump!

Jazzy Jubilant is multicolored glitter in a clear base. This is a little different than most of the multicolored glitters, the colors are more subdued and not as hectic looking. I'm seeing purple, blue, green, silver and gold but I'm sure there are a few more colors in there. The formula was alright, I found it to be a little heavy on the base and not dense enough in glitter to make it easy to apply. I found the best way to get nice coverage was to do the blob and spread...aka blob a nice bit of polish on the nail so you can get a lot of glitter then spread that blob around on the nail. I used "1 coat" over  GlitterDaze Ethereal for the photos below, all photos are in the shade.

Sparkle on Top is iridescent shards and flecks of glitter in a clear base. I actually thought this was flakies in the bottle, like a new version of Shine of the Times, but sadly that was not the case. I do quite like this one though. This does have mylar shards of glitter and they can be prone to sticking up off the nail but I didn't have the problem when I swatched it. The formula was good, it was nice and dense without being too thick, you  might need to thin it a little but I had no issues with application and the glitter payoff was great. I used 1 coat over over Revlon Italian Leather for the photos below.

These polishes are available now, I'm not sure if they have hit drugstores or Ulta yet but I imagine they will soon if they haven't already. Essie retails for $8 each!
