I Love Nail Polish Holographic Multichrome Swatches

Happy Friday! Anyone have fun plans for the weekend? All my fun happened last night, I went and saw a band called Tonight Alive. I've been trying to see them live for almost 2 years and finally made it out to one of their shows, it was great! If you like Paramore or bands like that you should check em out, you'd probably like them too! Today I have swatches of the new holographic multichromes from I Love Nail Polish to share with you! You all know that a couple months back they released the awesome Ultra Chrome Collection and now Barbra has decided to make them even more awesome by holofying (ya I just made that word up) them. These will be available for regular sale starting today over at ILNP.com, check out all the swatches after the jump!

For all 4 of these the holo was stronger in person, pictures just aren't doing them justice! The formula of all 4 was great, much like their non-holo counterparts they are nice and opaque, you can layer them over a dark base but they don't really need it. I used 2 coats for all of the polishes!

Birefringence (H) shifts between blue, purple and pink and has a linear holo out in the sun.

Cyngus Loop (H) shifts from blue to purple, fuchsia, gold and even a bit of orange. This also has a linear holo out in the sun, much strong in person than it's appearing in photos!

My Little Glacier (H) shifts from icy blue to a dark blue/grey and even a little purple at extreme angles, it also has a linear holo. I much prefer this one in holo form as opposed to it in non-holo form. I feel like the shift was easier to see in person with the holo added in, usually the opposite happens so I'm not sure why it seems more apparent this way haha!

Mutagen (H) shifts between green, blue and purple and has a linear holo. This was a favorite for me in non-holo form and I love it just as much with the holo!

The I Love Nail Polish Holo Mutichromes are available starting today at ILNP.com, they retail for $12.50 each!

(Guess someone will surely ask this question - so why not me)
Could you please compare these to new KBShimmer holo duochromes? Do you think one needs both ILNP and KBShimmer in one's stash? :)

  5. I actually don't really like foil/shimmer polishes, but these look really interesting!

  6. I bought them all...the first batch that is. I'm now a bit disappointed that the newer versions are better and more holographic.

  7. These polishes are all beautiful, My Little Glacier is my favorite! Also, I love Tonight Alive and Paramore! I've only seen Tonight Alive once also, but they're one of my favorite bands! (:

  10. Thank goodness I went with Peak of Chic and On A Silver Platter in the end. Just saw this at Rite Aid earlier and was torn whether I should go for Belugaria (just cause I was so curious with the name and look) but then seeing your swatches, I said ummm no way. haha.

  11. OMG, I almost bought these yesterday at Target. So glad I didn't. BTW, since everyone is saying that the black one has a vaguely caviar-like look, I'm wondering if the name Belugaria isn't some kind of corruption of the name Beluga Cavair?

  12. Ignite The Night reminds me of A England She Walks in Beauty...and Lots of Lux looks like Zoya Liberty to me...a lot. o-o

  14. I used On a Silver platter with OPI's just spotted the lizard and it looked good. Then I did a ruffian using Zoya's Tart. I got many compliments. I haven't posted it yet.

  15. I just got the whole collection and I agree with every word you said. Fugly! Except the blue one and I also like Ignite the night.

  16. I think they all look really good! You have great nails, too.

  17. Oh man! I bought Belugaria yesterday before I saw this post! I totally thought it was a crelly base with a little hexagon glitter. Crap. I bought Lots of Lux too so I'm glad that one is good. Definitely returning Belugaria today. What a bummer!

  19. I love Hors D'oeuvres and On a Silver Platter and bought them, but I will never be wearing them again because they are IMPOSSIBLE to remove. At least, it's impossible with my acetone-free remover, even with the tin-foil method. Never again!

  20. Awesome job! Thank you for the great reviews :)

  21. Could you do a comparison of Hors D'oeuvres and On a Silver Platter with Sephora Sparklers Made For You and Law of Attraction, please?

  22. I don't own either of those polishes, sorry

  23. i also thought "sparkle on top" was really tough to remove. i know it's not in this review, but I just today had to remove it + a coat of Essie #264 watermelon and it was curses! yikes!

  24. I agree 100% and actually had to come back to say so - I think the combination of On A Silver Platter here over Formula X Dark Matter looks absolutely gorgeous...stunning! What a great combo and it's inspired me to try to replicate it! wish me luck :))
