KBShimmer Winter 2013 Collection Swatches

Hi guys! Today I have the 2nd half of the huge Winter Collection from KBShimmer to share with you. If you missed the first half that was full of blogger collaborations you can check them out here. Also, if you haven't entered my giveaway for the blogger collection make sure you do that today, it ends tonight at Midnight EST, you can find out how to enter in the post I linked above!

Alright, so this half of the collection features a lot of gorgeous polishes including multichromes and holographic multichromes. There are also gorgeous glitters that I really enjoy! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

All Elf'd Up is a white crelly packed with red, green and silver hex glitter. There is also some very tiny bits of bar glitter in here. Christy always makes the prettiest crelly glitter bombs and this is deinfetely one of them...I really love this one! This is good on it's own or layered, I have it on it's own for my swatch. The formula was good, it was more opaque than I was expecting and application was easy. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Kringle All The Way is red, green and silver circle glitter in a clear base. There is a little sprinkle of holographic shimmer in here also, it's more visible in person, especially when you layer this over darker base colors. This polish is also the KBShimmer Toys for Tots polish for 2013, $4 from each bottle sold until November 30th will be used to purchase toys for Toys for Tots! The formula was good, it was easy to get the glitter out and to get a lot of it onto the nail. It's easiest to dab this one on for best glitter coverage. I used 1 coat over Revlon Fresh Linen for the photos below.

I have to say, this is one of my favorite KBShimmer polishes ever, if you love circle glitter like I do you need this in your life.

Maybe Navy is a deep shimmering blue. This is very similar in finish to Teal Another Tail from Christy's Fall Collection...if you were a fan of that polish you'll like this one also! Not only is this gorgeous in the sun but in the shade it has a beautiful subtle duochrome thanks to the flakes of shimmer that it's packed with. The formula was great, you could layer this over another color to change it up a bit but I love it on it's own. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Myth You Lots is the first of the holographic multichromes. The holo is much stronger in person and the multichrome shifts between purple, blue and magenta..there is even a touch of gold at extreme angles. I love the added depth you get from the holo in the shade! The formula was good, you can layer this over black or wear it on it's own. I used 3 coats on it's own for the photos below.

Pigment Of My Imagination is a multichrome that shifts between purple, blue and magenta. Like Myth You Lots there is also a bit of gold at extreme angles. This is the un-holo version of Myth You Lots, because it lacks the holo the shift is a bit stronger! The formula was good, I used 3 coats on it's own. You could always layer this over a dark base color if you wanted to!

Pretty In Punk is another holographic multichrome. The holo again is much stronger in person, the multichrome in this one shifts between green to a silvery blue/lavender. Of all the holo multichromes this one had the strongest holographic effect! The formula was good, you can wear it on it's own or layer it over a dark base. I used 3 coats on its own for the photos below.

Rollin' With The Chromies is the last of the holographic multichromes. The holo actually photographed pretty accurately on this one yay! The multichrome shifts between blue, purple and pink with touches of gold and orange at extreme angles. I laughed so hard due to the name of this polish when I got the press release from Christy about collection. I can pretty much quote the movie Clueless so I love a good nod to it! The formula was good, I used 3 coats on its own for my photos but it's great layered also.

Shade Shifter is a multichrome that shifts between blue, purple and pink, This is the non-holo version of  Rollin' With The Chromies. Because it doesn't have the added holographic effect the shift is a bit stronger.  The formula was good, I used 3 coats on it's own for the photos below.

Snow Flaking Way! is an indigo jelly with silver holographic snowflake glitter along with violet and sky blue holographic glitter.  In person this leans a bit more purple than it wanted to photograph. The formula was good, you do have to fish a little to get the snowflake glitter out but they are plentiful so I didn't find that too difficult. Like with Snow Much Fun from the Blogger Collection the snowflake glitter didn't always want to sit flat on the nail but I didn't notice it as much in this polish. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Urban Camo is a multichrome that shifts between bright green, dark green and a blue/lavender. This is the non-holo version of Pretty In Punk and the shift in color is a bit stronger. The formula was good, you can wear this alone or layered over a dark base. I used 3 coats on its own for the photos below.

When The Doves Sigh is a grey crelly with fuchsia, turquoise, sapphire and chrome glitter in various shapes and sizes.  There is also a nice sprinkle of holographic shimmer that adds a beautiful touch out in the sun. The formula was good, it was nice and opaque and the glitter payoff was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

  12. I am in love with Strun Out! I just tried putting it on though, and had such problems. It applied REALLY thin, and then when I tried again with thicker coats, I got it all over the place (which I admit, is user error). When finished though, I have MAJOR uneven nails due to the huge glitter. Do you (or anyone else) have any tips to flatten the nails out?
