Lacquer Lust, Serum No. 5 & Polished by KPT Holiday Trio Swatches

Happy Friday! Anyone do (or doing) any crazy Black Friday shopping today? Maybe I'm getting old but the crazy shopping just doesn't appeal to me anymore, I'd rather spend my day off from work sleeping in instead of getting up at like 2am to fight hoards of psychos trying to beat each other down for a cheap TV. I might do some online shopping today/Monday but I haven't really seen any deals that I feel like I *need* to take advantage of.

Today I have new collaboration trio for the holidays, this trio features polish from Lacquer Lust, Polished by KPT and Serum No. 5. Each of the ladies made a a different type of polish, one is a holo, one is a thermal and one is glow in the dark. This trio will be available for $37.50 starting on December 1st at 12pst at each of their shops along with Harlow & Co for international buyers (not sure of a launch date there!). I'll have links to everything at the end of the post! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Lacquer Lust Ho Ho Holodays! is a green linear holo. There is a bit of a coppery orange shimmer in this also which was a really nice surprise! The formula really nice, it was a good consistency and easy to apply. I used 2 coats for the photos below, all photos are in natural sunlight.

Polished by KPT Naughty & Nice is a pink to red thermal, in addition to the color change this has a gorgeous shimmer with a little touch of holo. This changes with body heat so if you're cold it will be the darker red shade and it turns to a nice light pink as you warm up. It's been like weirdly cold in So Cal the last few days so this was the dark shade on me most of the time. I ended up putting on some gloves for a few minutes and it warmed up my hands enough to show the change. Usually I'm having to do the opposite for thermals (sticking my hand in the freezer) lol!  The formula was a touch on the thick side but I had no application issues and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below, all photos are in natural sunlight.

Serum No 5 Yule Light Up My Life is a multicolored glitter in a clear base. This glows white in the dark! I was really surprised by the color this glows in the dark, I thought for sure it would be a green glow for Christmas. I don't *think* I have anything else that glows white! The formula was on the thick side due to how glitter dense it is, if you want to wear this on it's own you'd probably need to thin it a little bit. For layering I had no issues with application and the glitter payoff was great. I used 1 coat over Lacquer Lust Ho Ho Holodays! for the photos below.

Apologies for the blur in the glow in the dark photo below. We won't talk about how many photos I took of this in the dark, this was the best I could get. I don't know how people get such crisp looking glow photos, I don't even breathe when I take them and they are still blurry lol!

Lighting: None lol
Also, just a little bonus nail shot. Victoria from Serum No. 5 just started adding some fun nail art accessories in her shop and included a few of them for me to try out. She has everything from studs to nail shields. I decided to try out a nail shield over Naughty & Nice, I really love how it looks. I think it would be a fun holiday manicure!

This holiday trio is launching at Serum No. 5, Lacquer Lust and Polished by KPT on December 1st at 12pm PST. It will also be carried at Harlow & Co, I'm not sure of the launch date for Harlow, I'm sure she will announce it on her Facebook page once that is decided.
