Revlon Parfumerie Fresh Linen & Italian Leather

Hi guys! Today I have a couple of the new scented polishes Revlon recently released to share with you! I came across these a couple weeks back at Bed, Bath & Beyond and ended up getting 2. I got one for the color and one for the scent. I'm always a little wary of scented polish which is why I only bought 2. Sometimes these can smell so strong and sweet that it gives me a headache so I was curious to see how these were since the scents are a bit unusual. Check out my thoughts and swatches after the jump!

Fresh Linen is an off white with a pearl shimmer. This is clearly the one I bought for the scent, color wise it's not my favorite. Maybe I'm weird but I love the scent of fresh laundry...dryer sheets are like my favorite scent ever haha! The scent was nice on this one, I'm not sure I would call it Fresh Linen, I can't really put my finger on what it smelled like to me. It wasn't super sweet like I was worried about and I didn't find it overpowering, however I could still smell it even after layering a glitter and putting top coat over this. The formula was alright, it was more opaque than I expected but it was very brushstrokey and hard to even even. I don't care for this on it's own but it's nice under a good glitter. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Italian Leather is a dark green creme base with a golden shimmer. Clearly I bought this for the color, I didn't care what scent it was to be honest. The scent ended up being alright, it supposed to smell like Italian leather. I don't really think it smelled like that but maybe I'm just not fancy enough to know what ~Italian~ leather smells like lol! The scent was not sweet and again not overpowering, I could still smell it after top coat but it wasn't strong enough to give me a headache. The formula was good, it was nice and opaque. The shimmer was only visible at some angles in direct sunlight though. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Overall I like that the scents aren't straight up cotton candy like most scented polishes. My only complaint with these is that the brush was difficult. It's like a small weird ball on the end and it was hard to hold and awkward to polish with. I guess Revlon was more worried about it being pretty instead of practical, the bottles are pretty so I guess I can't fault them for that. Other than that I like these, I might pick up a couple more if I ever come across a display that isn't terribly picked over. The Parfumerie polishes from Revlon are available now, I got mine in the beauty section at Bed, Bath & Beyond but I've also seen the display for them at CVS.
