Femme Fatale Swatches

Hi guys! Today I have a few polishes from Femme Fatale to share with you! Femme Fatale not only makes their own line of gorgeous polishes (and other cosmetics!) but they also stock a lot of other indies on their site, if you're in Australia and have never checked their website out you should go check em out! Today's post is full of holos and glitters, a little something for everyone! I'm really impressed by how gorgeous their holos are so I hope you like them also! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Just a note, my bottles are mini's which makes them hard to hold for photos. The bottle I'm holding in the photos is a top coat bottle. Sorry!

Burning Dusk is a rich purple base with a strong linear holo and a blue shimmer. The blue shimmer almost gives it a duochrome like effect. The formula was fantastic, it was a great consistency and super opaque. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Cloudburst is a light blue green base with a golden shimmer and pink, black, gold and white glitter. Femme Fatale actually recommends this to be layered but mine was pretty opaque on it's own so I decided to wear it that way. I love the blue green base of this and the golden shimmer is super gorgeous, the shimmer was visible in the sun and in lower lighting. The formula was good, it was more opaque than I expected which was a nice surprise. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade
Edge Of The Cosmos is a blackened purple jelly base with a subtle holographic sparkle and holographic glitter in various sizes and shapes. The glitter that stands out the most is large circle glitter, star glitter and moon glitter. The formula was really nice, it can be worn alone or layered...I decided to layer it to try to make the glitter pop. I had no issues getting the shapes of glitter out, it might be because mine was a mini and it's usually easier to get glitter out of them. If anyone has a full size of this one I'd love to know if it's as easy to get the glitter out of it! I layered 2 coats of Edge of the Cosmos over I Love Nail Polish  Sweet Talker for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Gravity Lapse is a blue grey with a strong linear holo. This also has a pink to green shimmer that you can see a bit in the photos. This was so sparkly that my camera was having issues, I took about 50 photos of it and these were the only 2 non-blurry ones :( The formula was great, it was a great consistency and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Keeper Of The Grove is a glitter bomb with green, red, gold and blue glitter in various sizes and shapes in a lime green jelly base. This is all kinds of crazy, and I love it haha! The formula on mine was a bit on the thick side but I had no application issues and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Lime Thief is a green crelly base with green, blue and orange glitter. I really like the unusual mix of colors in this polish. This can be worn layered or on its own, I prefer it on it's own because it looks so squishy and perfect that way! The formula was good, it was sheer at first but it built up to full opacity easily in 3 coats.

Lighting: Shade

Maddening Whispers is blurple linear holo with a gorgeous green shimmer. This is my favorite of the post, I was like :O when I saw this in the bottle. The green shimmer is all kinds of fantastical in person, so of course it doesn't really translate in photos (because that would be too easy). If you like interesting holos you'll want to pick this up! The formula was fantastic, it was the perfect consistency and crazy opaque. I could have easily gotten away with 1 coat, I ended up doing 2 but the second wasn't needed.

Mirror of Dawn is a silvery grey linear holo with a strong golden shimmer. This is another favorite for me, the holo was super strong and the golden shimmer added a nice unexpected touch to it. The formula was again, great! The consistency and opacity were both really nice. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Ruby Hare is a dark magenta linear holo with a coppery red shimmer. This is another favorite for me, I can't deal with how great the holos are from Femme Fatale. The shimmer Sophie puts in these make them special and so beautiful! The formula was great, it was the perfect consistency and again super opaque. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Snapvine is a teal crelly with green, pink and blue glitter. This is similar to Lime Thief so if you like one you'll probably like the other. This is good layered or on it's own, I prefer it on it's own! The formula was good, it was a bit sheer at first but easy to build up. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

  1. Very beautyful swatches, thank you. Keeper of the grove is one of my all time favorites. I put some drops of thinner in it and I like it best as Topcoat over some gold - right now over Zoyas Tomoko. A dream!

  2. Of course I love the holos, but the glitters are pretty, too. I've been lemming some Australian indies for quite some time now and have to check out the international etailers.
