Misa Winter 2013 Bluesy Blues Collection Swatches

Hi guys! Hope you all had a great weekend! Today I have a small collection from Misa for Winter 2013 to share with you. I believe this collection is called Bluesy Blues and it's 3 gorgeous creme shades. I've seen this trio called 2 different names so I'm just going off how they have it listed on their website haha! If you like blues and purples these are right up your alley! I was excited about these even though they are colors I own a lot of, I'm a big fan of Misa and will almost always choose to use a creme from them over other brands if I'm trying to decide between 2 similar shades. I just really adore the formulas of their polishes, it always surprises me that more people don't know about how great this brand is! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Foggy Breath at 3am is a dark slightly dusty blue. The formula and consistency of this polish was great, it was super opaque and barely needed a second coat. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Icy River is a rich dark purple creme. I will never not love purples like this...they are such a great fall/winter shade and I love layering over them! The formula was again, fantastic, it was super opaque and very nearly a 1 coater. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Winter Bluesy Blues is  bright but still somewhat dark blue. This kind of reminds me of OPI Eurso Euro but a bit darker and not as purple in terms of undertones. The formula was fantastic, like the other 2 it was super opaque and almost a 1 coater. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Overall I really like all three polishes, this is a small but great little collection. If I was in a store and saw these I'd probably pick up all three even though I have similar shades. My only complaint was that these were a little skunky smelling, it's probably due to the pigment used since a lot of blues can be stinky. If you are sensitive to scents it's something to be aware of though. Misa retails for $7.50 and you can find them at http://www.misacosmetics.com/

  1. You can also buy Misa polishes at head2toebeauty.com for like 3 dollars a bottle! That's where I usually get mine. Although I don't see this collection on there yet. Thanks for the perfect swatches as usual!!

  4. Pretty swatches indeed, thanks for showing them. My guess as to why more people don't know about Misa is the same reason I'm not familiar with it. I've heard of the brand but that's about it. If Misa is sold in stores I have no idea where, I haven't come across it. And a lot of these private companies that sell only thru their website have outrageous shipping charges (I quit buying from Victoria Nail Supply for that reason!) But this is just my guess, would love to hear from others about this.

  5. This Is like that "not the same they're similar" meme. All equally beautiful but hard to justify against my blues! Lol!

  8. Hi,
For information, on Misa's website, shipping is free as soon as you buy for 30$ (which is not THAT much; it is the equivalent of 4 bottles). Otherwise, I think it's around a 7,50$ flat rate.
On my part, I discovered Misa's products when it was sold in store (Trade Secrets, in Canada); but unfortunately, the store stopped selling them recently. But I'd say like the author of this blog: their products are amazingly good, and among my favorites. They hold way better than OPI (on my nails though!), and their Quick Dry top coat is my absolute favorite (and believe me when I say I tried an awful lot of top coats to find one that won't chip after a day or two!).
If you like the colors they offer, I would highly recommend you Misa nail polishes. :)
    Merry Christmas!

  9. Hi. Would you say that "Misa -- Foggy Breath at 3am" is the same as "OPI -- I Saw... U Saw... We Saw... Warsaw"? I feel they look reeeeally alike.

  10. Great shades! I always kinda forget this brand, as I don't see them as much on blogs as others.

  11. Totally just ordered these three. Have never tried Misa before, but I am a sucker for a good cream and a dark blue! Can't wait to get them!
